Being an experienced traveller and a Genius member on Booking.com, I got their Triple room on a discounted price. They did not give us the room booked and started to explain the different categories under the same type of rooms on our arrival. We settled for a double room (better according to them! ) As a guest, this story already doesn't work and is the beginning of confusion after our long journey. The entire hotel was empty and the booked room was actually squatted by the managers itself. The cherry on the cake was getting a call by Aman while we are having dinner asking for the payment and to cancel the booking on Booking.com so that the booked room now can be available to others (Excuse me??). Lack of consideration and trust followed by the ego game of Vinay of asking me to take the money back at night and do it in the morning. Childish games. Lesson of politeness in his own arrogance was given to me by him while sitting over a table smoking & drinking. Such idiosyncrasies at such levels. Makes me laugh. I am not expecting or hoping for any replies and a wargame of whatsoever. I have said what was needed in consideration for my fellow travellers and moving community. For the new tourists, be cautious and not be blinded by only the reviews.

This hostel/hotel is a hidden gem. It's in Old Manali about a 5 minute walk off the main road and beautifully set in lovely orchards. It isn't huge but has everything you could want including a party space with loads of games and a hammock. The host Varun is simply amazing. He runs the place brilliantly with personal attention to every guest. Party time is at night and wonderful opportunity to mix with guests and people simply turning up for drinks and/or food. I have just spent over two weeks there and loved it. Couldn't recommend Orchards House more.

I first visited orchard house back in April and have returned many times since. The house is nestled amongst the peaceful orchards with incredible views of surrounding mountains and waterfalls. The garden is beautifully decorated with flowers along side the common area that is frequently packed with travellers. The house attracts interesting and friendly explorers from all over the world, creating an ambience and a vibe that is difficult to leave. Both the dorms and private rooms are very clean and super spacious. The hot showers and the comfy beds are great for getting warm and cosey on those chilly Manali nights. Each floor and many of the rooms boast a balcony where guests can sit and enjoy the incredible mountain views. The hostel is a short 5/10 minute walk up to the main road with many shops and resturants, equally it is a 5/10 minutw walk down the hill to the river with more shops and resturants. The house itself is cusioned away amongst the villagers allowing for a peaceful and authentic experience. Varun the owner always greets you with a smile and his optimistic and fun personality instantly makes you feel welcome. He is more than keen to help you with any questions you may have. I am sad to leave, however I am looking forward to returning on my next trip to India as Orchard house holds a special place in my heart. Varun has created a home away from home for any traveller.

Where do I begin? Basically I've stayed at this hostel 3 times during my 2 months in India. It really feels like a home away from home. The staff will do everything they can to make your experience as comfortable and magical as possible. Varun is so amazing - he always made sure there were beds for us before we came and helped us out with anything we needed, so I know we'll be friends forever. The views are phenomenal, the beds are super comfy, the vibes are bloody fantastic, bathrooms are really clean, common area is awesome, kitchen is lovely with a good menu.. Need I say more? The last time I stayed I had the most perfect double ensuite room and they provided soap, toilet roll and towels. It was such a dream. My Manali adventure wouldn't have been the same without The Hidden Tribe. See you all soon!

Located in the midst of old manali and apple orchards, you wake up to an unobstructed view of the mountains and valley. Dorm Rooms are spacious and clean with hot water. Host was nice and makes the hostel a safe zone at all times. Sitting area always has someone sitting around to have a conversation or to play gamed with. Do follow Varun's recommendations on day hikes and cafes around manali!

If you want a place in Manali to lay down and chill, this is the best place to be. We initially planned to stay only for a day but then we fell in love with the place and extended our stay for two more days. They have budget rooms as well as deluxe rooms. Budget rooms are clean and cozy. Deluxe rooms are totally worth the charge. We stayed in two different rooms. One had a private balcony attached and the other one was spacious, full of natural sunlight. If you are feeling lazy enough to not go out to eat, they have it sorted. They have an in-house restaurant serving from tea to meals. Food is good if not awesome. They are plain and simple yet tasty. Last but not the least, if you want to have a good chat, go and find the owner of The Hidden Tribe, Varun. He has some good stories in his bag.

The hidden tribe.. its a best placle to stay in old manali. Rooms are clean and foods are good. You can find different types of food like mexican, Israeli, italian, indian, american etc. And the main thing the owner Varun is such a nice guy. He is available 24X7 for any kind of support. All the staffs are well Mannered. Really you can enjoy your weekend or your holidays here. And for any other things you want to know about that place, please visit there.

I have stayed over in a lot of hostels in India across different states but this has been the best in terms of peace, tranquility and good vibes. The rooms were top notch and perfect for a couples retreat. The cleanliness and hygiene is also great. The place is perfectly positioned in old manali with just a short walk to all the fantastic cafes (although the food is so good in the hostel that many times we stayed in our rooms only). Kudos to the owner Varun for running such a great place with such a great vibe. Thanks a lot for the hospitality.

Located in a beautiful garden with an amazing view, orchards house is the best place in old Manali ! The beds are comfortable, the rooms have a nice wooden atmosphere, the dorm has lots of space, and locks. The place is really relax, staff is kind and helpful ! Easy to make friends :) And if it’s your birthday, if you crave for a movie night or a bond fire, the staff will always try to arrange it ! It is only 5 minutes from the Main Street : you get best of both world ! Quiet hostel and close to the village life !

First of all I want to tell you about the place, it’s very good , the ambience is very good but you have to walk too far to reach this place . The owner of their place named “Varun’ was not there and the place is being managed by a guy named Sidant or sidharth . He is a very disrespectful and very weird kind of guy . He will be very nice to you if you are a female (I.e he is a characterless guy ) . Ordering dinner at 9, he was like “ we only have dal chawal “ . And who the hell is coming to manali to eat dal chawal. The stay at this place ruined our trip . It is the worst place I ever had to . imagine a place where you ask for toiletries for 4 and you get 1 used towel in return. I suggest you to never ever book this place.worst thing ever
