Beautifully constructed Gothic Castle property nestled in the Valley between the mountains. The food was amazing, the hospitality was splendid. Would recommend folks reading to stay here. It’s an experience. You’re in luck if you’re travelling in the months of August & September, they’ve got a beautiful apple orchard.
This hotel has a Gothic theme and is truly one of a kind, we felt like we were transported back in time and living out an old English movie. The view from our cottage was mind blowing. We were treated very well with all the staff members. They were very polite and made sure all our requirements are met. Took a lot of help to get around the city and discover some lesser known hiking trails. Highly recommend this property!
Post covid we took our much needed vacation for a week to our favourite destination in the mountains. Manali would not be the same if it weren't for The Himalayan. Like a good bottle of wine this slice of paradise keeps getting better. Mr. Vivek and his team are ever present and warm. Their food menu is diverse and scrumptious. For me the dishes which stood out were the Rosti and Wild Rice Risotto. They've also upgraded their cottages with more comfortable furniture in the area. We also spent a few nights in the castle rooms and found nothing to fault. It was our third visit to the property and assured we will be back again soon. Keep up the good work Team Himalayan!
Firstly i have been to the best of best hotels , and when they charged me approx 12k a night and most of the youtuber’s did a promotion here the property looked great , i checkout from la ri sa where i spent the first night and the second night in the himalyan , As soon as i arrived there was no one on the gate either to greet or to help you , i entered and i found one guy on the reception desk which was not fully trained so the GM Mr vikas i think he was doing all the formalities, though he was not having a single hint of smile through out , he was telling me the rules as if i have joined some military boot camp , the restaurant area is no less than a horror show nobody was there not even a single guest ! And i was told the hotel is 67% sold out , the rooms are horror show , if you like luxury you will not like this hotel , this hotel is max worth 3k a night not even a single grand more , you can imagine at the same time i stayed in la ri sa manali and oberoi cecil shimla , both the property pools and spa was functional currently 99.99% pools and spa in india are functional but they are in there own covid due to which these are not functional , the GM ‘s attitude felt as if he was the owner so I confirmed with the staff that who is he then i got to know that he is the gm , well in short staff is untrained, GM is have slight attitude issue , rooms are horror show. Property will not have WIFI so dont plan WFH “walls are too thick so wifi will not work “ this was informed when i checked in and after a while called for the wifi password the undertrained staff said ill give you a call back he never called back , i called again after 1 hr the manager took the call and told me wifi will work only near pool area not in room walls are thick , i felt i was in 1880 when there was no idea how the wifi will work , there are end number of options to increase wifi range , breakfast was stupid , indian lunch i did was hopeless , dinner was was indian starter was ok , When i checked out and then went to oberoi cecil shimla they charged me 5k more than this hotel and it was nexxtt level ! So either they decrease the prices to 3k the hotel for people spending 3k will have great experience as there mindset will not be that its a luxury hotel and its a kaam chalau hotel , so then they will feel good , i had a driver no services for him , no stay , no hot water for shower , no place to eat nothing !…
The property is more beautiful than the photographs shown. A peculiar stay and true to the concept the moment you enter the space. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room we stayed was maintained well. Cleanliness was on spot on. It was a charming affair and would definately be planning another visit just to experience the property completely. The overall vibe was pleasant and was to our liking completly.
