We visited Manali in July 2021, the cottage is located very close to Mall Road. The cottage is beautiful but the service is very poor. The owner was very rude and so was the staff. We had to ask the staff a couple of times before they cleaned the rooms. There are no fans. Even when we requested the staff they said they cannot arrange for any fans. SO if you book this cottage carry your table fans. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS PLACE IF YOU HAVE KIDS. The owner is not kids friendly at all. Very unprofessional attitude when it comes to the hospitality of the guests.
Wood valley cottages is located in Aleo, left bank Manali and is just a few KM's from the Mall road. Great place for the stay for friends and family. The hotel owner and staff are very warm and welcoming the guests. Very good service, the rooms are neat and clean with modern facilities available in the room. The wooden work done is also exceptional. Would love to visit again.
Nice place good location ,food is amazing service & staff is very comparative nature. Cottage view is very good.food is very very tasty..near mall road, value for money Service hospitality is very good, extremely neat & clean cottage.
Without doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed during my time in manali. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and the manager mr. Prem who is a very nice and genuine person. The location of the cottage was just amazing and way from the chaos of manali city. The staff was extremely friendly, the restaurant was very flexible and you can eat whatever u want whether it is in the menu or not. The menu rates are also average. Mr. deserves a special thanks who is extremely friendly and helpful. This is not a 4/5-star hotel or so, but the atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me.
Awesome place for visit with family or friends. But preferred season to visit Manali is after May. This time of the year was not so suitable as we didn't found any snow over the place. This cottage also provides very comfortable stay. And also this is actually very close to the local areas.. approximately 1.6 km.
Wood valley cottages is located close to nature, It has mesmerizing valley view. Each room of hotel has valley view. few room are small and some are big size. Before making final booking one can check from reception the arability as per requirement.
We had a nice stay at wood valley cottages in June 2017. We booked 4 BHK cottage which have 4 spacious bed rooms and 1 small room for kids. We enjoyed much in common area and garden. Food was good like a home food.
The cottage has well maintained rooms and large bathrooms. A garden is adjacent to cottage. It is around 1km from mall road/Bus stand. Vehicle was arranged for us by Mr Prem(the owner) for visiting places like solang valley and rohtang. A bonfire was arranged in the evening. The courteousness of Mr Prem and support staff Mr uttam made us feel at home. The food was home cooked and service was prompt. All in all a satisfying vacation.
We visited manali in mid April and it was a semi off season i would say as we didn't find much of a crowd as we were expecting. This property was one of the best part of our trip,we booked it at last minute just two days prior to our visit and we were fortunate to get a great deal. Its not an hotel exactly but a beautifully maintained private property with two cottage type arrangements. We were two couples and were given a 4 bedroom double story cottage with a huge hall/dining space and a working and fully equipped kitchen. Bedrooms too were decent, spacious with clean attached bathrooms and balcony. One of the room on second floor of our cottage was awesome with two sleeping arrangement and some good views from window and balcony. Overall the whole setup was beautifully maintained and very well furnished. The owner Mr.Prem was very helpful and cooperative in many ways he guided us well about places to visit during our stay and also arranged everything we needed. The cook cum manager Gopal was too a great help hez a bit talkative but otherwise was very caring. Overall it was a great experience and we would again look forward to visit this place once again. Details of property: Location: Its located on left bank around 1.5km from mall rood a bit difficult to find as the entrance to this place was narrow and their was no signage but anyways Mr.Prem was in constant touch when we were arriving the place so that was ok. Property: Well maintained fully furnished and comfortable 5 out of 5 for that. Food: Not so good as it was cooked by an armature we did ate a few times their but it was more of my wife and sister active in kitchen then gopal the cook, also whatever we ate was cooked in our own kitchen but was charged by menu which was a bit odd but again it was reasonable so no complaints. View: As though whole manali was very beautiful and scenic this place since was surrounded by many other hotels and residence does not have a valley or river view but yes mountains are quite beautiful from balcony. Overall we had a comfortable and peaceful stay and would definitely recommend it for ppl coming in group of 4 or 6. Mudit Joshi. …
The cottage is an excellent place to stay when you are travelling in a group of friends/family. I took their 4-bedroom cottage, which actually has 5 bedrooms (one of the bedrooms has a small attic with a double bed) spread over three floors. The cottage also has a dinning area, sitting area and kitchen. It is a beautifully made and well maintained cottage with great wood work. The rooms (including toilets) were nice and clean. They also have a small garden and balcony with each room—giving enough places to spend some nice time amid the hill chill. The seating area is a great place to hangout. The owner (Mr. Prem) is a very courteous person and treats guests very well. He is very helpful and always available at service. The other support staff was also very friendly. They work for you as if we know them for years. Great experience. In terms of location, the place is about 1.5 kms from the main mall. You can walk/take auto or use own car; we mainly walked as there was a lot of traffic. I think this is a good distance for a hotel. Manali mall is very crowded and not very scenic; hence, one will need a place away from mall where you can have some piece and nice valley view. The place offered great value for money - even during peak season. The fun of going with a group gets doubled when you stay in such a place.…
