I am right now at the hotel, its 3am and not able to sleep because the ac is not working. Maintanence guy is hopeless, Mr Rahul from the reception is trying to help but the whole centralised aircon is having issue, he cannot do anything at this time.
I stayed at the hotel for three days in April. The hotel seems to be in a dilapidated condition. The lift didn't work properly multiple times. Once I even had to give up and call reception to send the lift up from the ground floor. The AC was also a major problem. It seemed to lose power in my room during the night. My friends who were staying in another room had to change rooms thrice because of non-working ACs. Above all this the staff seemed to be completely unbothered about the guests. Room service and housekeeping calls would ring and go unanswered and food orders would require multiple reminders before they were delivered.
I stayed for a week at Fern Residency Gurgaon, between April 28 and May 4, 2022, for work and this was my worst stay in any hotel, and I've travelled across the world. Day 1: I checked in late due to late office and it took them one hour to give me two towels and since room service closes at 10.30 pm i had to settle for what was available. Day 2: Since my husband was coming over late night so I arranged all the towels and toiletries for two people and left for office. When i came back, the cleaning staff had removed everything and left one towel each. I had to shout and get back everything. Day 4: This is the day of my big presentation and my husband was leaving the hotel early morning for his flight. Between 4.30 am and 9 am we had to change the room FOUR times for AC issues. I finally got to my meeting tired, sleepy and drained out. The same evening the staff refused to give us more mineral water and we had to threaten to complain to the front office. Maps wasn't picking the location and since the management is changing to Park Plaza hotels, there was no sign board and every cab ride needed instructions to hotel. The best part of the stay was when it got over. It was like the end of a jail sentence. If i hadn't paid 30k in advance, i would have checked out on day 4. Please avoid this hotel. Even a Oyo Townhouse is better and cheaper. Only the front office staff, the security guard and one room service person was decent, the rest of the staff were without skills or manners.…
Tremendously bad service, although food was good, but they themselves had no idea which was there hotel menu. They gave me 2 menus, one printed and other one was hand written. Also room was smelly, had to ask for toiletries, tv had no recharge, AC was not working initially, water was charged and that too way expensive, a 500ml kinley bottle for ₹80. They presented a ₹450 bill for the food that was supposed to ₹150 as per the menu. Very very bad experience. Might be good for bachelors but family and couples, never even think to book a room here.
Stayed 2 nights. Best part are it's location, room and people. Its centrally located in Gurgaon with most places of commercial and others in vicinity. Its a nice cozy boutique hotel kind. Rooms are adequate, clean andyou will find a good night sleep quotient. Since the hotel is undergoing some makeovers hence there could be some anomaly or missed in the room but this can be absolutely ignored. Another good part are the people in any dept , be it their front office, restaurant, in room dining or housekeeping. Very nice, attentive and helpful. Shows sign of positively good hotel. The only miss is its food.it has plenty of room for improvement. Shall definitely come back
We stayed for one day to celebrate birthday and while booking it was mentioned to do special decoration for same occasion but nothing was done by staff even the room provided was facing back side of other buildings . Hotel staff was not so humble. We will not recommend this hotel to anyone.
The Fern Residency was one of my favourite stays in a hotel. The rooms were great and cozy, the service was good, the food was excellent, i guess everything was awesome... I am in love with this property...i wish i get to stay here everytime in Gurgaon...
A no frills business hotel, which is in proximity to the buzzing sector 29 eateries and bars. The place was undergoing major renovation at the time of my staying here overnight. They should at least have a board or prominent signage outside. Else for someone coming there for the first time, it's very difficult to find the entrance from amongst the scaffoldings. The rooms were tidy and of decent size. The breakfast spread was also above average, though would not call it an exceptional one.
*This review is based on my stay in the month of July 2019. At this time the whole external facade and the lobby regions were under heavy renovations. Views here are hence based only on the rooms and restaurant.* pros - rooms are close to perfect. It gives very little reason to disappoint. Decently spacious, all required amnesties, excellent TV with great selection choice, amazing bed with loads of pillow choices. Fine location: Gurgaon, Sector 29, close to Delhi, in proximity to the "happening" places for night life. Cons - restaurant disappoints. I hope this will be fixed with the renovation. taste-wise sub par, service-wise sub par. But it can be fixed. Overall, definitely recommended. A good business hotel.
Enjoyed the stay and location is accessible to other facilities in and around Gurgaon. The people in the hotel were helpfull and dropped us near by for late night walk. The breakfast spread is good. For quick official trip the hotel is highly recommended.
