Gir Jungle Lodge is offering best value for money. It is planned in such a way it gives feeling of stay within the jungle. Entry is from the main road, and property is quiet inside, safe from noise and air pollution. We offer all inclusive, like all meals and tax. No hidden cost. We have highest inventory in this area, so high occupancy results in lower tariff. The area of the land is also vast, can do jogging, morning walk, etc. Have very large swimming pool, too. We also offer multi cuisine food in our restaurant. We arrange safaris on behalf of our guests. We provide transfers from nearest airport/railway station, with nominal cost. We also organize local tribal dance, on chargeable basis. It is best property, having best sunrise and sunset view from the rooms, as the rooms are facing east and west directions, clear view, without any obstructions. It's most natural location in this area. You will love to come again and again.

Our stay at Gir Jungle Lodge was comfortable and the staffs were friendly and helpful.
The package included dinner and breakfast. On pre-order they also arange for chicken but the usual meal served is vegetarian, which includes Gujrati as well as Punjabi items.
On request the manager provided us a 1st floor room with balcony (ground floor rooms don't have balconies). Room was spacious but even though the room was clean there is a lack of maintenance. Especially the furnitures and fixtures.
The resort has ample parking area and driver accommodation. Food for driver is not included and charged at rs. 1000 for three meals.
The resort is just two kms from Sinh Sadan on the Junagadh highway.
Overall nice experience.

Gir Jungle lodge is one of the private resort that is available if you are looking for a decent budget stay at gir national park.
This resort is located about 2.5km from the safari booking center and about 8 km from the Devaliya park.
It's a decent size property with 3 types of accommodation namely rooms, tents and huts.
The property also has a children's play area and a bonfire sitout in the open. The dining area has a open dining space plus a dining room and a decent size swimming (which of course was closed due to the covid 19). There is a squarish garden at the backend of the property where they grow organic food and is a decent place to spend off time. You may also get to see a number of birds chirping away in this area.
Tourists traveling during winter are advices to carry heavy warm clothes as it get really cold here at night.
We stayed at the property for 3 nights and found the service at the resort to be okayish.. On the 3days when we asked the rooms to be cleaned, they did it on our request. They also served us water etc from time to time. It should be pointed that the resort was undergoing some renovation and additions which did take away a bit of its charm.
Rooms are decent size with normal facilities and the washroom was cleaned. I did check the tented accommodate and it's similar to the rooms.. No complains..
Food is where it disappointed us a bit. Mostly served Gujarati food and the taste was decent to good but since Gir is a destination for people from across india, they should include more options. Non veg was made to order and was billed separately. (Served only at dinner and you need to tell well in advance for them to prepare it)
I wish there was something more for us to leave behind an imprint in our mind.
We did 5 safaris on open jeep which I had book well in advance and was successful is sighting all the forest animals including lions and leopards.
Overall people who are looking for a decent budget stay at gir and has an vehicle of their own should enjoy this place to the fullest.

Good resort for family, lush green and rooms are good. Just 5 min away from main gate of safari , sinh sadan. They have swimming pool and playing area around the hotel. Staff were good. Check in and check out process was super smooth. Few cons are limited food options or i should say except breakfast, lunch and dinner, no food option was there except tea and coffee. They should consider it.

First of all its my mistake to choose agoda as local support like other travel sites is missing
Gir Jungle Lodge is located at a very convinient location but has very basic facilities not maintained properly with slippery floor and walkways
Rooms are shabby with moisture patches
Insects, red ants keep on entering in room because of monsoon and farm land.
They provide drinking water but had to tell them that theree are two guests in room so to provide two glasses.
Everytime you need any service, you got to call someone on the given mobile number. No convinient facility to contact reception
Staff is well behaved and curtesous but not trained to work in hospitality industry
Breakfast items served were cold
TV was not working in the room and on informing the channel subscription was recharged
Overall not a satisfyin experince and not value for money

This Hotel is only means for Gujrati, as there is no food choice in Lunch, breakfast and dinner. I stayed in Room No 106 & 107. Goibibo showing my room with balcony, but I have not provide that room, after checking the voucher few hours later I have seen that my room is with balcony, when I check with reception the Reception manager said that I should ask at the time of check-in, my question here why I should ask, its Hotel manager duty to provide the actual room which I have booked. No intercom facility available, I have to call a mobile no for room service. Room is not up to the expectation, its no where 4 star hotel, I don't know why this hotel given 4 star rating, it should be rated negative rating. No Wifi at Hotel room is available. I have ordered Tea, and its served cold in room no 106. Only plus point is Gir sadan entry point is only 10 minutes from Hotel, other wise I will not recommendation for this Hotel to any one for sure. As per my experience to the traveler other than Gujrati must avoid this Hotel.

Well unfortunately this has to be the poorest of the Taj properties we have visited. We’ve been to their heritage, place, business and seleqtions properties all over the country and they’ve all been excellent but this one somehow didn’t pass muster.
Yes it’s a nice enough property conveniently located near the Govt Reserve Office and in fact is the old Govt forest lodge. The staff are polite but perhaps not proactive or resourceful enough to sort out issues travellers maybe having, the food is average except the Gujarati dal which was very nice, the breakfast selection is average as is the taste and the less said about the Italian the better.
Just this year we visited three Taj selections properties Ramgadh Lodge, Jaipur, Taj Chia Kutir, Kurseong Gir Lodge Sasangir, not to mention the beach luxury Exotica at Goa but this one was really a pretty tepid experience.

This place is full of natural beauty. The feel of staying and roaming here, away from pollution, noise, buildings and between the greenery is out of the world. The food in here adds to the delima. One should definitely visit here in any season, and will feel like never going back.

The resort is on the main Junagadh road, its approx 2 km from Sinh Sadan. I arrived before official check in as I came on the overnight bus from Ahmadabad, my tent wasn't ready but they gave me a room so I could freshen up and rest. Which was really appreicated. The tent was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The food was excellent with plenty of choice. The grounds are lovely with lots of trees, and there is a swimming pool, which is next to the restraurant. I didn't use it but a few families did while I was there The hotel arranged for a jeep to collect me for all my safari's. As well as a taxi to junagadh, The staff and the manager were polite and very helpful. I can't thank them enough for their assistance and kindness.

Hotel is very good. Rooms are clean and spacious.staffs are good. Foods are awesome. Gir forest is 2 km distance from hotel. Hotel has a kids play ground. It has a swimming pool. Staffs are polite. They have also cottage and huts.

Safari:
All safaris permits (100%) have to be booked online: girlion.in
• Safari timings are 6 to 9 AM, 9 to 12 noon, and 3 to 6 PM.
• Permit fees cost Rs 800 on weekdays and 1000 on weekend for Indians and 4800 & 6000 for foreigners.
• Jeep cost Rs 2100 + Guide Rs 400.
• Camera up to 7 MGP is allowed without any charges, and above this is chargeable @ Rs. 200/- , for Indians and Rs. 1200/- for foreigners.
One must visit Devalia park too where lion sightseeing is guaranteed. This is a 16 sq km fenced area with the big wild life kept in. Lions, leopards, deer, blue bulls and other animals can be seen here. The park remains closed on Wednesday.
