The place to stay in if you're in Ahmedabad. an old haveli converted into a beautiful hotel. You can see the labour of love that's gone into restoring the building and making it what it is today. The toiletries are all natural and organic. The rooms are all very well kept. Each room has some family pictures on the walls...

We had a lovely stay. The staff is very nice. We booked a suite and it has a old school feel. Although the walls can do with a little bit of paint. They look dull and old. The furniture is nice, so are the toiletries.

It was my first time in India and it was a very special moment. The hotel is unique, it has a special flavour. Tre entire building is really special. Our room was big and confortable. The personnel kind and professional. The restaurant was really good ! Especially when dinner was tasted on the terrace. If you are planning to stay...

I'll be honest -- photos this hotel's rooms help sell my textile tours :) I visit Ahmedabad every year over the Kite Festival with a group of textile aficionados. Booking at House of MG over the busy festival period is problematic because staff insist on advance full payment -- but once there, we are treated royally. This time, I was...

The House of MG one of the most beautiful hotels I have been to, from the cealing i the swimmingpool with big flowers, the rose leaves in water bowles, pictures in wooden frames with candels. Every detail is done with love and it is quite romantic. A special gift shop with art craft from Gujarat. Staff very friendly.

If you want to feel transported back in time, this is where you should put down your bags. Expect old world rooms, with high celings, and beautiful carved furniture. Even the light switches are hidden behind mirrors. Expect stairs, and long corridors and delight in the shallow pool right in the middle of the house. Much of the house has...

It's a different kind of properly . The feel of the stay is very homely , you feel home away from home. The decor is amazing . The service is also amazing apart from one point that they say something and do something else so I guess the desk manager is bit confused with things . They don't provide you...

The hotel, the tapestry, the choice of colour, the staff, the location, the ambiance all has been preserved for all its past glory. The photographs of the owner family in rooms, all add to the nostalgia of place. Food quality is great. Enjoyed every moment of my stay.
