If location is of prime importance to you, choose this hotel. You do not have to drive through the city traffic. The hotel is ideally located and is spacious and clean. There is car parking, well appointed rooms and quick service. However, I would recommend you book the hotel through a hotel booking website. I happened to reach there and asked for a room and their rates were almost 2k higher than what a hotel booking site was offering.
You might have to wait for a while at the time of checkin but otherwise, the hotel is value for money. The breakfast is average and you need to reach on time. Ideal for business trips and for those who want to get in and out of the city in no time.

We booked Memories Hall at TGB, Ahmedabad for a function - this was our second function there. Food was superb - service was very good. But the worst part is sales team. We paid entire money 3 days in advance and asked to arrange for sound a day before. Few hours before the function, I was informed that they can't arrange. I rushed and arranged on my own then I was told by TGB that I need to pay Rs. 5k as Royalty which I agreed but sales person Mr. Parth was so adamant that bluntly refused that my security will not allow your sound if you don't pay in advance. I repeatedly requested him but his denial made me to escalate and then only it was allowed with a condition that before I go to event I have complete the payment. Horrible experience. TGB is in bad financial shape and has lost much of it's prestige due to such people. But I still repeat that food was best and taste was always best

great food, nice ambience. fun to be kids and family. slightly expansive but food quality and variety is worth it. deserve visit once in two month if you stay in Ahmedabad for long time. if you don't want to go for dinner / lunch you have option for fast food also.

For what the hotel charges it is terrible. The hotel is dirty and needs updating. The breakfast is very limited. The staff fail to understand simple requests. There are much better hotels in Ahmedabad with less charges and better locality. The hotel booked us a taxi to airport, the taxi driver was grumpy and rude. We paid what was requested but the driver thought he was doing us a favour!
Would never book this hotel again or recommend anyone else to book this either.

This hotel experience was the worse in my entire history of travel.
Once checked in, upon entering the room, it was very evident that the room was not cleaned. Bathroom was not in washed. Items in the bathroom were not in place. Hand wash was finished, not refilled. And don’t even get me started with the bed.
The bedsheet had stain all over it. I had to call reception to change the room. They showed me 3 rooms and every single room had bedsheets that had big stains on them and it was disgusting. They provided explanations that the bedsheets have been washed. And my point is, exactly, even after the bedsheet was washed, there are stains on it. This is a disgrace for a hotel
Since every bedsheet in every room was stained, they suggested that the bedsheets will be changed in front of me in my originally allocated room. This was even bigger mistake they did because they showed me 4 newly washed bedsheets and they were all stained as well. Once the bedsheet cover came off the bed, the mattress protector had a huge stain along with the mattress. When I asked to change the mattress protector they said that cannot be changed. To cut the long story short, after a lot of back and forth and frustration, I managed to get new sheets on the bed. But for a hotel, such as The Grand Bhagwati, it was extremely shocking for me to witness such hygiene issues. I wonder who is responsible for their hygiene checks from governance and license perspective. This should not be allowed to pass.
On the other hand, I had complete opposite experience with the cafe they had at the reception area. They staff were so friendly, willing to go out of your way to help you. Their hospitality showcased their passion for their customers and food. Cafe Piano was a delight in service and food quality

The Grand Bhagwati, Ahmedabad is located at prime location. Ambience is beautiful, with awesome reception area. Ample parking space. Rooms are spacious and clean, service is quick and staff is friendly and courteous. .
There’s two restaurants( cafe piano and mr & mrs somani). We visited here on Friday morning and tried their breakfast buffet at Cafe Piano, decor is just amazing with cool and happening vibes. Food was freshly cooked, and very delicious. .
They also have one more restaurant, Mr & Mrs. Somani, which was also very cozy and wonderful place.

the hotel is old and requires upkeep, renovation & maintenance. the room ac was not working. we had to call the technician at 1am in the night to fix it, but still it dint work. we spent the night in 27degree sweating it out. the bathroom counter was cracked and very poorly fixed cement. the furniture were old, stained and chipped, so was the wall paper. . the mattress sagged in the center.
breakfast was fine.
definitely not worth the price

this is the only vegetarian 4 star property probably in india , that's why 5 stat rating. Hotel needs maintenance. Parking is in basement and you have to take lift with luggage up to reception is an issue.
Food is excellent only for veg lovers.
Staff is very supportive and service is excellent.

I had booked 4 rooms at this hotel from the uk, had an email confirmation and I double-checked again via a phone call 14 day before my arrival.
After a tiring 7 hr road journey with 4 young children and 2 over 70's, I was told on arrival that my rooms were cancelled because I should have reconfirmed, apparently thier own email confirmation was not enough. They said they emailed me to check. Told them I was on holiday and was not checking my emails (I did check later and surprise surprise no email form the tgb) What surprised me the most was that the manager told me he'd booked me 4 rooms in a nearby by hotel, as I had no choice I ended up having to stay there for 1 night. Why did he book another hotel for me? particularly If he was not expecting me and he cancelled my rooms at the TGB? surely he may as well have kept them for me!!. The truth is I got bumped off to an inferior hotel but, was charged the same rate I was going to pay at the tgb but it was the 25 dec 2011 at 9pm and I guess they knew I had no choice. very very suspect practice at this place be really careful pls especially if you travel with kids, you do not need this type of mischief making
