Maintaining its splendid traditional structure, the ‘Haveli’ offers a unique experience of living in the historic community called the ‘Pol’. Living in this house is to experience the Gujarati culture with comfort and luxury. The central court is open to view the sky, which gets in optimum air and light. This is generally the soul of all Havelis. The Jhula (traditionally a swing) is a place to relax and feel the calming effects of the home-like Haveli.

Bagbhan Haveli is a very beautifully and sympathetically restored heritage accommodation with all modern aminities. We had an excellent stay for 4 nights in the heart of Old Ahmedabad city. The staff at the hotel are very friendly, extremely accommodating and take atmost care to look into any special needs. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting true experience of "Pol Life" in the Old City.

La haveli est charmante, la literie confortable , la salle de bains moyenne. Le quartier ancien où est situé l hotel est sympathique . Quartier d habitation essentiellement mais pas tres loin à pied du centre plus animé. Par contre peu de staff dans l hotel, nous avions l impression d être seuls, et le petit dejeuner est moyen. Pas de possibilité de manger sur place pour le reste. Nous avons pris les dîners et les petits dej à l'hôtel house of MG, excellents. Et l hôtel qui etait hélas complet a l air aussi excellent. (A prix du même acabit semble t il que baghban...ne pas hésiter : MG!)

It is just a beautiful and gorgeous Haveli. They restored the House with passion, flair and knowledge. It’s the place to stay for to feel the atmosphere of the old historic UNESCO City. And the Owner’s and the Staff are incredible generous, helpful and lovely people. The service was outstanding. Impressive structure and inline with the Heritage architecture. Mrs & Mr. Patel has taken note of minutest things(from flooring to ceiling, and walls to windows along with the wood work) which has gone as a part of the elegant Haveli. Also, I was quite surprised to find a elevator in such a small property. Certainly advisable to stay in this property for leisure trip. Not advisable if on a official tour. Please be informed of the heritage walk one can experience, that's the most exciting part to reach this Haveli (from the Astodia Chowk). In order to book cabs, you need to book it from Dhal ni Pol gate. Not to mention, the breakfast and dinner served was freshly cooked and homely. The spread was beyond expectations. Needless to say, the terrace (on top floor) at the night looks fabulous. Also with a cup tea/coffee, evening/morning feels quite refreshed. I would recommend this place for old city & heritage property lovers. We should visit and stay in these kinds of property to know the culture of the city and help them to maintain the Heritage mark!…
