Stayed at the Renaissance Ahmedabad in 1st Week of October,2020.
First of all we were very happy we got upgraded to the Executive Suite.
The entire staff was quite welcoming. The hotel has also taken quite extensive measures as far as precaution for Covid is concerned.
We received the Pre Arrival email asking for the ID proof and the CC Authorization forms.
At the hotel entry we were checked by Infrared Thermometer but however I could not confirm if our bags were being sanitized before putting then in the security X ray scanner.
Upon entry at the front desk we just had to sign in Health Declaration form and the check-in was completed.
The room was quite spacious and everything seemed cleaned. A bag with Mask, Sanitizer wipes and small pouches of Sanitizer were placed in the room. The Air-conditioning and hot water was 24hrs and room cleaning was also done daily.
The Gym was operational 24hrs but had to inform the front desk to turn the lights and the Aircon on which is understandable as the occupancy of the hotel was low.
The staff at the restaurant wore Gloves, Masks and Face Shield and the chef frequently made sure if everything was all right and if we needed anything else.
The Dinner and Breakfast was a set menu but our server offered if we wish to try something different from the Ala Carte Menu.
Overall I really cant expect more out of my stay.

The hotel is a perfect hotel for couple/ family/ friends. The pool is also good. There is a different 2ft pool for small kids as well on roof top. The breakfast is amazing. The rooms are spacious and the cooling is aslo good enough in the rooms. The room service is superb. The attendant services you as soon as you request them for any thing like changing sheets, cleaning room, bringing fresh towel or bathrob, bottled water is also free here. Suggest you to not order anything from hotel like tea or coffee because it's super expensive. You can Zomato or swiggy food and collect it from reception. The stay was amazing. I stayed in King size bed superior room and the cost was approx 2200 for one night for two adults. Breakfast also included in it. It's very close to SG highway. subway, honest, sankalp, dominozz, jay bhawnai - all these famous eating places are at walking distance from the hotel.

Room is excellent with good amenities . Food was tasteless ,the fish & chips I had along with milk with chocolate . Corona protection kit is too meagrely made , not even a small bottle of sanitizers provided though shampoo , body lotion , conditioners , tooth paste , saving kit , room sleepers are all there . Santitizer pouches are given 2 no.s and each ‘one inch by one inch ‘ size pouch contains 2 drops of sanitizer only . I was surprised . I noticed room key with wifi instructions are written in Chinese . Hotel blocked my full two days booking payment at the time of check in and while check out they could not somehow use that credit card connected and I had to share another credit card details and pay . Then they sent message in 2 hrs that my earlier blocked amount released . Somehow I didnot feel comfortable in my first time stay in this hotel in current pandemic time business travel and thought I should have opted my regular stay hotels instead .

We stayed at Renaissance Ahmedabad for 6+ weeks when we returned from Canada in serious Pandemic situation in India. As usual, it was such a homely feeling to be at Renaissance! Govind Negi and his team made sure that we feel safe, welcomed and ensured each and every small aspect is well covered from the hygiene, amenities and options for kids in pandemic restrictions. It was a wonderful and safe feeling from Covid-19 point of view. The hotel was following the social distancing, sanitization, availability of masks, etc. really well.
Front Desk Staff of Megha, Mohak, Ashwini & Jagdeo were truly brand Ambassadors of Marriott/Renaissance culture and always available for every need from us.
One of the key strengths of the property is their F&B Team. Amit Das, Swaroop, Abhay, Ajay Tiwari and Vinay were always there to ensure we have the best of the services in F&B. Very warm and welcoming with bright smile on face. Again, great care from hygiene point of view.
The Chefs at Renaissance Ahmedabad Pradeep Bhandari, Virendra & Chef Pandey did well in ensuring our needs are met during all 3 meals with a great variety, taste and especially with kids choices.
Japanese & Asian delicacies from Chef Anup has been an extraordinary experience. We got authentic Japanese Sushi multiple times along with several Thai and Korean dishes during the stay.
Executive Chef Vaibhav Arora is a LEGEND. His leadership is taking the overall F&B experience to the next level. Everything he makes has a taste that it matchless. He is an expert in cooking the nonvegetarian dishes in our eyes. The mutton he makes is the best mutton we can eat anywhere in the country!!
The location of the hotel is great and is accessible from any corners of the town, right off the SG highway. The senior leadership of the hotel was always accessible and welcoming. The facilities are excellent. We could also use the gym within the covid-19 guidelines from the government. Our kids loved the stay there and want to visit it again.
This is the best hotel I recommend in Ahmedabad looking at the central location, accessibility, AMAZING F&B and highly welcoming and respectful staff as mentioned above!

Even when mentioned that we are not comfortable in restaurant dining and requested dinner & breakfast included in our stay package to be served in our room due to current Covid19 situation, we were asked to pay additional and refused to serve the same in the room. This is not expected service from reputed organization like Renaissance. Not Happy at all with the services.

1. Value for money with breakfast dinner package
2. Food at R kitchen was good especially the breakfast with yummy jalebis, hash brown with toppings. Special thanks to Swarup and Amit for taking good care even when the restaurant was mostly under staffed
3. Decent sized fully functional rooms but that's what you expect from a Renaissance
4. Mr Parmar was always there to cater to our needs and while seeing off he personally attended to our luggage in the taxi
Misses:
1. Slow housekeeping had to give requests twice or thrice to get things to the room
2. Weirdly designed bathrooms with the basin outside without a door, separate shower area and toilet. Due to this the sleep of the person sleeping used to get disturbed
3. No benefit for gold bonvoy members they gave a room on the top floor but no upgrades, that anyways you get even though when you are not gold
4. Only one restaurant operational, spa was also not operational even though government has allowed the same
Overall an above average stay could have been better, would come back again, maybe not sure

Best hotel to stay in Ahmedabad. The check in process was very smooth and contactless (all the details were sent over email). ( Tip - Booking directly with hotel will cost you less then going via goibibo or third party travel site.) Took all meals package for my brother and mother. The food provided was very good. They maintain proper hygiene and precaution during these covid times. They even packed the brunch for my mom. Thanks again, you will soon see me with my family over there too. Thanks to Mohak and team ( u r doing excellent job, keep up the good work) . Special regards for the chef ( the jalebi's were cherry on top. )

The facility follows covid protocols at all places including lifts & restaurants which was the main reason I chose to stay at this place. I have been in ahmedabad for work reason since november and have been hopping Hotels on SG Highway basically attempted Novotel Aloft and others at long last getting the comfortable Renaissance Hotel. This place is top tier in terms of Customer fulfillment, Food and in-room comforts. They utilize the best amemities in place.
Uncommon gratitude to Mr Jagdev who youll find when you go into the lodging and his staff who's aided make our visit practically simple guaranteeing all the administrations are set up and intime.
The rooms are agreeable, the room cleaning is top quality those individuals strive to guarantee that highest quality is kept up.

Laundry and ironing services available. Recommend you call hotel for cost.
Dear Sir,
None of the hotels in Gujarat can serve you alcohol. Some of the hotels do have a permit shop to purchase alcohol but that’s for personal consumption in the room. To purchase this you need a permit which hotel can help with.
We do not have a permit shop at the hotel.
