Hotel Volga is located in the back alleys of the city and can be challenging to locate. The vicinity is however full of cheap shops for clothing and is a short tuktuk ride away from the main city and night markets.
The hotel features a classic lift which can be scary to some, but it does the job so no complaints with it.
The rooms are very basic and the bathroom door is made of a material that is slightly see through, this can be an issue if you are sharing the room with a friend.
Didn't eat here but the hotel did have a food menu.

The “Hotel Volga” strategically located in the heart part of Ahmadabad city and around 3 km from Ahmadabad main (Kalapur) railway station. Its just in between House of MG and Electrical house. Rooms are smart/ spaces/ clean. Ask for Lavish room it will cost INR 1300/-. Front desk is friendly and efficient especially Mr. Sajid. 24 hours Checkout system. You can also order decent multicuisine food to your room.

This hotel looks better than some surrounding places and is like a western type hotel at Indian prices. Beautifully clean comfortable bed and very good staff who are polite efficient and most helpful. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to western travellers. Having stayed in the worst and the best I do rate this hotel highly

Being a budget hotel I wasn't expecting much, but I did expect a basic level of cleanliness. Unfortunately our bathroom was covered in mould, so much that you could actually smell it in the room. We had to request toilet paper and request towels and soap. No hand towels provided and the bath mat was a rug that doesn't get cleaned / changed. The bedroom was fine and had the basics, and the staff were friendly enough.

During our stay, we upgraded our room for 2 nights as the room initially booked through Cleartrip was very shabby. During Check-out, the hotel staff, Jitendra Trivedi and Syed Hanif charged us for 3 nights instead of 2 nights. On asking for explanation, Jitendra Trivedi was very rude and was not ready to listen to us. He replied saying, "You can go and complain to anyone you like, I dont care"
The Room Service Staff, just barges in the room without knocking on the door or ringing the door bell.
Personally, we do not recommend this hotel to anybody. PLEASE DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL AT ALL.

sorry for the inconvinius madam, but check your clear trip voucher madam, your checking time is 12 a.m. on 17th feb 2015 and you already checking in the hotel midnight (00;10) on 17th feb 2015. so as per your check out time 7:45 a.m. on 20th feb 2015. you can calculate the days you have to pay for 3 day not 2 days so we are not cheater. if you are not understand please help clear trip customer care. dont say cheater.

We stayed there for one night only of which I can regret, as I really liked the hotel. THe room was spacious, comfortable, with a touch of modern design and a huge round bed and very clean. Add here friendly service and free wifi - what else do you need for a short stay? And it's very close to one of the best known landmarks - Sidi Sayed Mosque. If I ever go back to Ahmedabad I would definitely stay there again.

I have stay here on 30th Sep 2014 and found the hotel unsuitable completely. Bed was not clean, room was smelling badly, ac was not working. Since I have booked through internet, I have no option but to stay as I was alone and had to catch train at evening on same day. If it would had a night stay, I would have changed the hotel...

i been to volga for one night stay....it was a horrible time to spend over there i booked the room online by seeing the pics but the environment of the hotel is quite odd and when i visited the hotel renovating and rooms were filled with wall paints,thinners smell...expensive comparing the quality
