The food at the restaurant is delicious, especially their local Goan dishes.
Hairdryers are available on demand though it would be easier if they were in each room.
The only hiccup was unruly guests sitting at the poolside tables post midnight speaking loudly. The management needs to control this to make sure guests can sleep peacefully at night.
Other than this we had a lovely stay and are definitely looking forward to visiting soon!
Sadly we faced the one issue we faced last time as well:
The resort has no control over their guests making a ruckus post midnight.
Groups which have multiple rooms kept their doors open, talking loudly way past midnight and their kids kept running in the corridors and even at the poolside tables.
Even after complaining to the reception, nothing much changed, so much so that we ended up CHECKING OUT A DAY EARLIER.
The management must have rules in place so that guests are not disturbed by unruly people at late hours, especially our senior citizen parents. It’s sad that even after paying a hefty price, we couldn’t even relax after a tiring day.
Also a hairdryer in the rooms will be really convenient . They do provide it on request only but take it away in sometime because someone else has asked for it.
The property is right on the Candolim beach. Walk across the hotel lawns to their beach restaurant. The hotel has its own beach beds at the beach threshold which gives you a private space right on the beach and a great place to let kids / small children play. There is always a security person manning the gate opening to the beach.
On the left is Palms n Sands and on the right is 100hack and the famous Calamari about 100 meters.
The entire place is very well maintained. The staff is polite and friendly. Special mention for Omkar at the breakfast buffet. Always smiling and very quick to get you whatever you ask for.
The breakfast spread is more of South Indian food and a little bit of English breakfast. Wish the hotel works on the spread.
The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, room service is prompt.
The hotel spa is good but can be worked on and improved for a great experience. Close by there is Snip n Spa which is much better.
The pool was a little cold because of January but clean and refreshing. There are two separate parts of the pool for kids. Pool is open till 7pm. Wish the hotel opens it till midnight if not all throughout.
Loved the location of the hotel. It is peaceful and quiet about 300 meters from the main Candolim street. It is about 10 mins walk from the main busy Candolim areas. Takes about an hour and 15 mins from the airport and a cab through Goa miles app charges ₹1000.
Will definitely recommend and stay again when in North Goa.
The rooms are very basic, do go for the higher category rooms as they have a better view.
Breakfast is essential/very ordinary but staff is very helpful. Yazu and palm n sands are better options
The sanitization of the property and essential kit in the room is a good practice, good job.
They have no beach towels so make your own arrangements. There's a taxi/bike stand next to the hotel.
General tip: Candolim beach is no longer the exclusive neat and clean beach it was a few years back but it's still got its charm.
The property is right at the beach but you will not get the view from the rooms. None of the rooms are sea facing. You need to go out of the room to get that serene ocean view.
Dining: They have 2 restaurants choices, a pool side one with indoor and outdoor seating and the other one is right at the beach and adorns an all white furniture which gives it a fabulous look. The choices of food at this one is low and the timings are restricted so we preferred eating at the other one. And they don't allow if you order a few dishes from their other restaurant.
Breakfast was good with enough choices.
Rooms: We stayed at the first floor rooms. It had a small balcony. The room is pretty basic, nothing fancy, comes with just the essentials.
The rooms are at the other end of the property. When you start walking from the room towards the beach, you come across a cute looking swimming pool not too big though, then a restaurant, then you walk through a lush green lawn surrounded by coconut and many other trees/plants and finally reach the beach. They have setup comfortable reclining beach chairs which give you all the beach fun that you are there for.
Very Class location just open the gate and you are on beach which is almost a private beach, Swimming pool with Jacuzzi . Even 2 AM in night you can sit on beach and enjoy the cool breeze, there is no security and safety issues.
Food is great, Breakfast is of very high quality and several options are available to select from.
I will recommend at least three days stay at property. Rooms are clean and staff is highly trained and friendly. Taxis and rent a bike is just opposite the gate of Resort.
If you ask any local Goan they will recommend this property to stay. I strongly recommend this place for Honeymoon couples and for family stay.
I usually find some beaches over crowded and dirty but when you step on the beach of this property you will feel the difference.
Their restaurant in property is Yazu, the award winning restaurant and highly recommended by all websites and when I personally visited this place then I came to know why everyone is recommending this place.
A day later my husband joined me too and after my friend left, we ended up staying for another 4 nights.
What I loved about the place is the location, the property itself and most of all the friendly staff.
While the room is a little pricey, the food and drinks are quite reasonable and the access from the pool to the beach is great as well.
I want to specially thank a few staff members who made our stay memorable. Laxman, Narayan, Digambar, Alister, Premanand, (many more FnB staff whose name I don't remember!!) Dipti from front office and the leader of the Pack Ossie. Not only were they all super friendly and caring but they also went out of their way to take care of us.
Ossie is a great conversationalist and the ease with which he looks after all his guests is great.
Def a recommendation from us. Go explore Candolim and Marquis.
Thanks a lot guys.
Even better if:
1. Welcome drink and cold towel were offered on arrival
2. Beachside water urns were available to wash feet when exiting the beach. Shower is further away.
3. The breakfast option was at the beach front to take full advantage of the hotel’s prime position
4. Money change service was offered
5. The use of single use plastic bottles and washroom products were more sustainably packaged.
The room was perfectly sized. The bathroom is very small. One person access only . The shower pressure and dual head option was excellent.
We will definitely stay again!
