Recently stayed at this beautiful property i would say from the moment we entered the lobby the manager Sunny welcomed us with a smile seated us in the lobby and did our check in formalities very quickly then escorted us to the beautiful room with the beautiful pool and greenery view he even suggested us the places visit near by the best restaurants to dine in which we tried and found very impressive. The breakfast spread was great chef has done their best in every meal. We will definitely suggest this hotel to our friends and colleagues and we will come back soon.

First impressions not good. Upon checking into our room I spotted hairs stuck on the bed cushions, pillows and headboard! This place is in need of a serious renovation and a deep clean. Every thing looks really grubby, from the floors in and around the pool, the corridors, including the glass windows to reception and the restaurant. The whole place needs a good through clean. Whilst we see staff mopping the floors, the equipment is not very good as it hardly makes any difference, floors still look dirty when dried. The rooms are spacious and beds comfortable. We did have to ask for firm pillows which were provided. Bathrooms need a bit of work, our shower leaked out of the cubicle. Wifi is poor and limited to 1 device. No hair dryer or iron in the room. Constant power cuts but they only last a few mins. The restaurant staff whilst pleasant seem to stand around a lot and not paying attention to the guests. Buffet breakfast is average at best. The worst part of our stay, was on check in where we were told we had to pay the Mandatory Fee for the New Years buffet, whether we wished to attend or not. We were told this is a mandatory charge for all hotels in Goa. We had to pay it there and then at check in. We felt as if we were held to ransom - you can’t have your room key until you pay!!! After a long days travelling and when you just want to get to your room, we didn’t feel like arguing too much so we ended up paying 4,000 rupees each (£40) for the mandatory evening. Not cool and not very happy with how it was handled and demanded at checking. Be aware of this if you plan to stay over New Year’s Eve. Also on New Year’s Eve, we received a leaflet at 2.30pm stating that the staff will be busy with the evening preparations, there will be no room service or restaurant service from 3.pm on the day - how about giving your guests at least 24 hrs notice of this, rather than 30 mins????
To top things off even though we had a voucher for accommodation and transfers they tried to charge us for our prepaid transfer from the airport. This then resulted in another discuss about getting to the airport on our return home, they kept denying this without checking. Finally they realised they were wrong and arranged our transfer. We had the most arrogant taxi driver with real attitude. He was chewing ‘Pan’ and pretty sure she was high on something as he drove like a maniac doing 120 on a 50 zone at midnight - we had a nail biting journey to the airport! Golden Tulip Goa never again!

We have noted down your concerns, although in certain points highlighted we would like to clear out the miscommincations. Your taxi had to be arranged by your tour booker and not us (we followed up with him on your behalf and got this done for you). Wifi is not limited to one device, its based on the number of devices that a guest carries. One can use the same room id and password for multiple devices. The wi fi is not meant to be used for downloading movies and videos, it is sufficient for browsing. Hair Dryer and Iron boards are on request for starting catergories of rooms and freely availabe in the higher categories. The mandatory gala dinner was a part of your stay, to be payable in advance as per the terms mentioned. Also, i have to mention that we did have breakfast and lunch service on the day that you have mentioned we were closed. We are not indifferent to a guests needs. We are also catering to kids meals in the closed period as an exception. You demanded coffee at the restaurant when it was shut. This is once we have already comminucated to you in writing about the same. This is when all rooms have tea coffee makers in them. We wish you the very best in your future travels. Stayed for four nights after touring Northern India. First impressions we're poor, there were trays of toom service left outside rooms on our floor for more than 15 hours. I've never experienced that anywhere, ever before . Understaffed, perhaps..?
Breakfast was average in terms of food but hot drinks were below average.
Room was average/good but sadly we arrived and found the bedding hadn't been changed prior to our arrival and when we brought this to the reception teams attention, we were basically ignored and no apology provided. We requested the bedding be changed, it was but the replacement bedding was damaged with holes in it and heavily stained. Really very disappointing!! No hand towels issued either despite requests.
The hotel was noisy at night, this was the guests, not the staff though. Those who were staying on our floor were incredibly disrespectful towards other guests.
Staff were not unfriendly but weren't particularly friendly either. Service in the restaurant was good but if you wanted a drink or food throughout the day or to get the bill thereafter it was a ridiculous wait and had to chase up several times.
Pool staff were great, but pool loungers we're metal and were difficult to change their back position due to perished metal fittings. They also got extremely hot and were liable to cause discomfort if you touched the armrests for example.
Management were chatty and wanted to provide good service but this wasn't felt amongst the staff towards us.
Overall we were happy to be leaving after our short stay and wouldn't want to return as is. Such a shame :(

Staff was excellent. Food was good. Cleanliness in the restaurant wasn’t up to the mark. Bed blankets pillows need changing. Lifts need face lift. Faster laundry service will be appreciated. Airport pick up and drop off will be an added advantage.

Nice 4 star hotel, 2 swimming pools, nice breakfast but each day similar menu no variations Breakfast menu need to be change everyday my suggestion. Avoid parcel Breakfast they will pack banana, bread without grill with cucumber, break cake 2 pieces and juice nothing else in parcel. room service you have to dial them 2 times for same thing but staff is polite. No response about Wakeup call from reception. Never trust Wake up call from Staff. Set your own Alarms. Bathroom clean with nice Hot water shower, Rooms specious clean with central AC and balcony seating. Extra Sofa cum bed need to clean properly sometimes bad smell comes from sofa cum bed. Near by Udupi restaurant for south Indian food. Walkable nice candolin beach 10 minutes walk, Overall great experience at Golden Tulip 4.5 star / Out of 5 Star

We had a wonderful family holiday at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Goa. The hotel provides the perfect blend of comfort and luxury. The ambience was excellent and nice hospitality, caring and polite staff specially Mr Ayan and the chef. The room were quite spacious and you will find lots of spots for good photography. We enjoyed breakfast buffet and alacarte lunch and dinner during the course of stay, food was hygienic and tasty. I would highly recommend this hotel for family staycation.

The earlier one has finished. There is a new but smaller one happening in front of the Resort, which actually is quite far from the room blocks and is hence not an issue for resident guests, as neither the view not the noise from that place hampers the room guests.
