What we liked: room cleaning service, room size, affordable mini bar, toiletries, gaming room

Experience with staff was average. They provided tea at the breakfast table on rush days and on the day when the restaurant was empty, asked me to get tea myself, citing self service

You can't really see the beach from the room. You see mostly rocks.

There is no route from the hotel to the beach. You have to go a few kms on the main route before you can go to the beach.

The room windows are transparent (not tinted) so anyone outside can easily see what's happening in your room. Even in the day

If you want a decent view, ask for first floor room, not ground floor room.

Hygiene practices are standard and OK.

Portion sizes are huge so be mindful. The food is just ok.

Gold beach resort is a place where it feels most relaxing.
Me and my friends visited here for a rejuvenating experience and the resort didn’t fail to be at par with our expectations. Only negative point is that the room rates are exorbitant compared to the industry average for 5stars around the nation. Dine-in experience here is fabulous and where you are being served by Mr.Guddu Kumar he takes efforts to give you your best time and suggest things out of the menus according to your taste and likes.

Stayed here in Jan / Feb 2021. Had booked a sea facing room.
1. The entire stretch of beach has some construction work going on, not the best of views if you are spending so much money for a sea facing view. Specifically if you are staying on the first floor.
2. Not their fault, we realized this would have been a problem even if you had stayed at other hotel on the same stretch
3. A lot of mosquitos in the evening, even after they did the entire pest control thing in the evening, it was still impossible to hangout in their open dining area. Not sure if they could really help with the construction work going on the beach
4. The rooms are very spacious with all the required amenities. Try booking a room on the higher floors, that way you would be able to keep the drapes open and still have some privacy from the construction workers on the beach
5. Felt the place the was over priced for what you get there in terms of stay and food

A very unfriendly hotel.
1. Drains are blocked in the bathroom had to call housekeeping a few times to get the drain in the bathroom to be unblocked.
2. The rule in this hotel is you get one key card for 3 people. Asked them for an additional one the answer we get is, one room is allowed only one key card. Incase you loose it you need to play extra for a key card which is absolutely absurd.
3. Food is obnoxiously over price. A measly portion of lobster is RS 2000 which( maybe less than 300gms) . When asked the chef he mentioned you get only this much portion in the lobster.
4. There is constant noise coming from outside the corridor area in the room as if it is a passage way with no privacy at all.
5. Asked the front office manager to connect us to duty manager he connected us with to front office manager who is anything but helpful in any sense.

Will not recommend this hotel to anyone

We have booked 4 rooms for 1 night when we reached there we got to know they have only 3rooms for us. After lot of arguments with their reservation staff they were unable to give us the room and asked us to place extra beds in our rooms if we can adjust. We agreed to that because we were not having any other option. At the night when we asked to place the extra beds their worst staff Mohan started acting smart that we cannot place more than 1 bed in one room and all. Again after having an argument for almost half an hour they agreed to place the extra beds.
Please make sure to book 1 extra room because they can tell you sorry sir we dont have room for you.
Worst management.

had stayed  at this place earlier  and my experience in past was good if not extraordinary.

It seems things have changed now  for bad despite charging a very hefty room rate comparable to  any five star hotel of a metro city

While its understood that tourist destination have issue of early check in if rooms are not available but you still look after the guest ,however staff here was rude and non-committal of letting us know when the rooms will be available.

In good hotels they will offer us some water/tea coffee  ,take care of luggage and politely ask us to wait, needless to say nothing of that sort was offered .Finally we asked for water and “ requested” to look after luggage while went  out visited the near by   beach.

We had stayed in the hotel on the day of IPL final and to enjoy the open air restaurant and cricket we requested for dinner table reservation in advance which was rudely refused as the rule was “ first cum first serve”.

The  open air  restaurant was full of rowdy crowd and most of them were not hotel guests hence we had no choice but to seat in the AC section which was equally chaotic

Staff was least interested in serving customers, it took us 2 hours to finish the average quality dinner   as service was very very slow and messy.

Breakfast was very ordinary, dirty half washed spoons were kept in the cutlery. As the restaurant is in open air crows were flying and taking away food from the plate when guests were  not on the seat and staff had no interest to address the issue.

Phone from the room  to house keeping, room service remained unanswered most of the time  hence eventually you had to call reception for everything .We saw a couple coming down from the room complaining about there phone not being answered for 45 minutes.

During our check out  staff asked us to pay for a fruit jelly from Room bar  which was  definitely not consumed by us,  despite that staff   argued with us  like no body’s business for almost 15 minutes .

Eventually One  “ Manager “ reluctantly waived off the charge as if a great favor was being extended despite no fault of ours and matter of Principal .

Its now a very ordinary tourist place hotel with  five star rates and hardly any service.

While the rooms are decent, we got one overlooking the pool. It was a pleasant experience till in the evening, there was a throng of swimmer right outside our large glass pane. This room on the ground floor is devoid of any privacy and they will try to sell it to you. Certainly not worth more than Rs. 3000/- per night.
The restaurant has one of the most pathetic service I have ever experienced till date. One has to almost plead for a waiter to attend to you. The food, especially the seafood is extraordinarily bad and tasteless and despite the captains effort to please us, his chefs could not make even one dish worthy of any compliment .
The same goes for the morning breakfast, cold tasteless and sometimes under cooked food is what you are going to get. So please avoid staying here or at least go out for meals.

Nice location, clean rooms, hotel and pool. Restaurant is very nice, house keeping and room service was good.

The room service provides hot milk(complimentary) for the baby but needs an email from reception when the guest check's-in.
Menu is limited, brekfast spread is average.
The bar and the bar service is good.

House keeping provided anti skid mats for the bathroom and small stool for the baby to take shower, hope they install the antiskid mats in all bathrooms as the tiles are way too slippery.

Kindly ask for Mosquito repellant coils in open areas or carry your own repellant lotions.

The swimming pool needs more underwater lights to increase the visibility.

The area around is also clean and the promenade is also we'll maintained. Shopping shacks are at walking distance for beach activities. The beach is Rocky and the nearest sandy beach is near the lighthouse at Jampore.
Overall the stay was good.

A good resort but a costly one. If you want to get the sea view it will be that much more expensive. It's a quality restaurant with excellent service. The food is limited but the quality is good. The rooms are very clean, well maintained and hygienic. People at the reception, rom service and in the restaurant are professional and courteous.
They have a well maintained swimming pool(due to corona saw nobody swimming), gymnasium with an excellent view of the sea and an indoor game room.
As there is nothing much to do in Daman the resort served our purpose of eating, drinking and relaxing.
Worth spending the money for relaxation.

Booked a Seaview Room for 2 night for a Forienger Clients . Entrance in room has big wall patches looks very dirty. AC overhead leaking badly. If you not aware you can fall down with leaking water .
During checking time , No wish no welcome drink not even ask to relax or offer any water. The receptionist has to answer to clients properly while asked if any fruit basket or some cookies are there as my collougue has sugar and need to take medicine in room.

Very rudly stated that we do have Mini Bar which is more than 12500+GST in room if needed it's chargeable and no complementary given in this hotel for any one.
Neither able to talk or pronounce fluent English properly nor able to communicate to any Guest in English.

Bathroom entrance and shower door are banging and can't fix the foot mat even properly. Rooms are very dirty and Linen are used from previous guests as stains are clearly visible .

Way to Restaurant has no roof . During rain either you need to wait for umbrella till another guests don't bring from restaurant to reception . Only 2 umbrella was there and 2 broken one. Guests were fighting for the same.

Restaurant has good staffs but lack to training and food as well as wine knowledge .
We have requested for 2 packed Breakfast as we asked early checkout. After explaining all to Room Service Order Taker and communicated to Front office 3 to 4 times . The result was so disgusting and insulting .

Packed plain bread with Jam only for one person. And fruits cuts with label sticker on it. No paper napking. No disposable fork and knife and no small water .

Such discussing poor rated un-hygienic Food are giving very bad impression to hotel and management who does not even bother to call for any apology neither any response after giving information for Front desk lady to FNB and GM of hotel.

Strongly recommended not to go such hotel and I informed my overseas team to avoide any further business here. As we given lot of business here. No more .

Very disappointed .
