Excellent boutique hotel with very friendly and hospitable staff .Mr Dinesh Kumar was very helpful and ensured we had a comfortable stay . Great food, the kids loved the room with the Jacuzzi . It’s very centrally located and convenient too . Highly recommend
This small 18 room property ,located in the heart of the city, is easily one of my favourite properties in this price category . Their Club rooms are a big size , with comfortable seating areas and a super springy bed . Their washroom is what I’d pay that extra amount for -a large shower enclosure and a jacuzzi that can rejuvenate you after a hectic day . Their standard rooms are also a decent size with good , neat and clean washrooms and good quality bedding . Hibachi-their Chinese restaurant serves the most delicious food with great portions . The in-room dining service is available as well . But what makes this property a perfect five for me is the staff … Dinesh at the reception is very professional & has a solution for any query /problem .as asset for the hotel I’d say … Rahul is the sweetest and warmest person around -my son had an exam to go for & needed breakfast before the buffet opened and Rahul went out his way to get him something to eat . They have a housekeeping person who is basically the man Friday around and is great for any errands around the hotel ! While I do not know all their names , they are all excellent-the in-room dining steward, the buffet staff and all the others as well. Our rooms were in either side of the small reception area and the friendly staff makes it feel like home . The kids just pop out of their room to ask for anything and it’s done ! With a wide choice of salons, spas , super restaurants within walking distance , Icon is a great choice !…

Good stay, amazing staff and very good service as always. The receptionist on 16 Nov,20 afternoon shift was very helpful and even printed my tickets, helped me book my cab, went above and beyond to help us out. I had to celebrate first birthday of my daughter for close family. Mr.Manoj Thakur helped me plan the menu, got me the best deal possible, just the day before. The event went perfectly. The staff has always been kind and helpful, which is another reason for us to stay other than it being clean and convineint. North Indian menu is available for banquets.
Our three-night stay on two separate occasions was excellent. The staff was incredibly accommodating and helpful, especially when we needed to change our plans last minute. Breakfast each morning had great, made-to-order options. The beds and pillows are top quality and were very comfortable. Location is also great, not far from some of the major sights and near good options for food. Would stay at this place again!
A beautiful hotel with an incredible staff and a great breakfast! We stayed here during the stressful coronavirus time and they could not have been kinder. They also provide a coupon for the great Thai massage place next door, and are close to tons of great food options.
The rooms are decent but the bathrooms are a mess. Whole loo gets wet on taking a shower. No racks to store cosmetics and water in winters is Luke warm. Call the housekeeping for anything and they seem clueless and confused..So does the reception.. Requested for a late checkout which was denied on the pretext of the room being booked, but was somehow available on paying extra.!!
We stayed for three nights. The location was convenient for the sights we wanted to visit in Chandigarh itself - the Rock Garden, Rose Garden, the lake and the Art Museum. And it was very quiet as it was away from the main road in a small square. Check-in was quick, and the reception staff, with one exception, were attentive and helpful. Our room was rather nice with a large bed (maybe a bit too soft for our liking), and also had a sitting area with a sofa and coffee table. The bathroom was quite big and had an excellent walk-in shower. The bathroom was divided from the bedroom by a full size glass wall, but there was an electric blind so you still had your privacy. The window also had electric blinds. The in-house restaurant Hibachi (separate review) is fabulous, and also serves the buffet breakfast - not huge as there are not that many rooms, but an adequate choice of Indian and Western food, and eggs, dosas etc. are prepared to order. Why then did I not rate this hotel 'excellent'? There were some stains on the bedroom ceiling, and the beautiful wallpaper was peeling off in one corner. The TV had only two English news channels (CNN and one Australian). The electronic safe could only be opened with an unwieldy key one had to carry around. There were only to hangers in the wardrobe and no handtowels (these things were immediately corrected when I complained). The toilet paper was terrible. WiFi was slow and kept cutting out, one had to login far too often. Added up, these faults were a bit annoying. If they could fix it, this place could be brilliant.…
Where do I start!! The bed was wonderful, had a very sound sleep after a days work. As u enter the hotel, the smell that hits u is that of a Thai market, sweet basil, lemongrass, shrimp paste etc and it dwells in the entire hotel. This is from Hibachi, the pan Asian restaurant. Not a nice first impression. Reception was good. The horror was the room. 1. There was fine dust everywhere on the floor, couldn't walk bare feet in the room. 2. Oil stains and dust on the floor lamp and dust in the slot for coffee maker. 3. The ceiling had a bad patch which was peeling. This was right above the bed and an eyesore and distraction. 4. Two thirds of TV channels are not subscribed to which is bad news. 5. There is a patch in the ceiling in the bathroom which is being held together by Scotch tape.... unbelievable. 6. I could see a kind of apparatus in the side of the false ceiling which looked weird. My first thought was it is a camera but on closer inspection it turned out to b a switch. But so suspicious. 7. I refused to sit on the sofa as it was very dirty. Never been washed over a long period of time. Health hazard. Next to the sofa the wall had coffee stains. 8. The wardrobe doors were so creaky, I thought they would come off the hinges. The person at the reception was a nice and helpful person. Never again in this hotel.…
We stayed over for 2 nights arrived very late to midnight/1am in the morning, on the first week but the receptionists was very good at letting us get into our rooms as we were all knackered and tired after a day off travelling. The food service was amazing, lots of choice, respectful and pleasant service although a bit off a mix up on the amount off orders that came to our table but we thought that was amusing. The showers were excellent as we smelled from being on a 5 hour train journey the night before. Staff were pleasant, and friendly. I would recommend this to any people staying abroad. Us five British and Indian loved this hotel.
