Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
A 3 star property not too far away from shopping places. It’s not a dominant looking hotel and the slow reception is on the first floor which is accessible by stairs. There is a lift which is tucked away in a dirty disorganised room so look for signage is mobility is an issue. Expect average room which is spacious and has most traveller ammenities. Well worn but out of the two rooms mine had clean worn out linen but the other room the linen was dirty so I had to ask for it to be changed which was done graciously. Otherwise the bathrooms were clean and constant hot water which is not something you find in all hotels. Since there was only an aircon with cooling only we requested heaters and it was provided to us with no extra charge. There is only veg menu in room but apparently non veg menu would be available if needed. It was a good one night stay.

We came to chandigarh and came to this hotel (as a reference), however, the experience was not up to the mark. There is is mix of staff- from waiters and security guard being cordial to receptionist and few others being extremely irresponsible. For any request for onr needs to call reception more than 3-4 times. The response of reception is quite poor. For instance, I asked for a mosquito repellent, to which the receptionist never took action even after half hour. On calling again, all he had to say was that it could not be arranged at that point. Had been to Chandigarh with friends. Found this place while scouting for a hotel near the railway station. Reception was warm. Booked 3 rooms for us. Got a discount. Rooms were clean with good ambience. Room service and food taste was just about average. But good restaurant is there just around the corner. Autos are available near the hotel. Overall worth the money.

The staff were friendly, great and helpful. :) It is near to a place that has many food stores. (turn right when exit the hotel, and walk for 200m.) The room is rundown. The furniture needs refurbishing. The pillows are over-used. The bedsheet and pillow cases need replacement. It is not worth the price of 4,500 INR paid per night. On the day of check-in, noted the price went down to 2,500 INR per night.

Horrible experience. The room had mould growing on the walls, it was so cold my breath was white, and no heater was provided when I requested it the first night.
The second night they did provide a heater after I followed up.
Breakfast was alright for the price.
Highly recommend you look elsewhere.

I came to Chandigarh on a office study tour.It was a pleasant and a comfortable stay in Hotel Diamond Plaza with my collegues Best part of the hotel is its location, which is centrally located in the city near all key city attractions. Hotel has ample parking.Nice big and clean rooms. Tasty and quality food is served in their restaurant. Have experienced the best stay in Hotel Diamond Plaza. With a Mall-like-structure and without lift, in a location surrounded by not so clean working areas and related pollution, this property had the disadvantage for a hotel externally. However, it seemed the management was compensated with a well groomed team so diligent and friendly. The security staff in the front, receptionists and waiters were very cordial, in uniforms ready to help with prompt services having hospitality.
Handicapped with infrastructural disability, rooms and other facilities were average not so spacious or comfort with enough ambiance . Room was clean. Other facilities like linen ware were good.Toilets were not so well maintained although hot water was available. Wi fi facilities were available int he room.
Food was of average taste and menu was with limited selection. A proper restaurant was missing for a fine dining. The location was not so good and hence privacy affected.The converted balcony lacked cleanliness.
It was an average hotel for a short stay.

Booked my self through MMT and its a shame that companies like MMT reccomend these properties by even listing them as budget Hotels.I am curious to know even if MMT people have visitied these places beofre listing them on there web site.Not really much to write about this place accept that it is not worth paying for even for a 1000 bucks. The Bathrooms are dirty, property is poorly maintained. Location is in middle of a hardware market (Pictures attached). They claim they are opposite JW marriot Hotels but , Marriot is in a much cleaner surroundings then this hotel. My Wife and I did not feel safe getting out of the hotel at night. The Bed Covers were dirty, towels had holes in them. Rooms Service took ages to come, Dining hall is right out side the rooms and thus always noisy. The Hotel Charged us an extra towards the taxes over what we had already paid to MMT. Not recommended. Please pay an extra 500 and you will get much better properties.
