I stayed here with my wife on 16.10.2014 during return from Manali. I wanted to stay here for two nights but got one room for one night only. So the second night, they transferred us to their another hotel in the next door. We had flight from Chandigarh airport to Kolkata via Delhi on 18th October, 2014.
However, it was a good hotel, safe and secured. While I first entered the room, I found the bed sheet unclean. But as soon as I reported to the reception, they changed it.
The room was not spacious.
AC and geyser worked well.
We went to Sindhi Hotel for our dinner. We did not take any meal here, so cannot tell about food quality.
But overall, it is a cheap hotel, clean and comfortable. Location is very nice. It is very near to Sukna lake and Rock Garden.

My family stayed in this hotel during their trip to Chd-shimla-manali and they were very much satisfied with the stay. I got the deal through our travel agent and he said that Hotel City Plaza 7 is his tested one and perfect hotel to stay for families as he is booking this hotel for his regular clients for the last 5 years.
Rooms was spacious and properly cleaned. Staff behaviour was the best part of the hotel according to my parents and also they really liked their food. Thanks to the hotel management.

The hotel is in a shopping complex at first floor. Rooms are neat and clean. Bathroom is also fine. Food served in hotel was just average. Reception staff was courteous. Visited as part of tour package.

The loud noises from the staff and other guests kept me awake all night. The environment felt very chaotic and unsafe.
This was a very bad experience. I do not recommend this hotel for any traveler, whether you're alone, with family, a foreigner, or a domestic visitor. It is not a safe or suitable place.

Don't ever go there with family. The place is so hideous & isolated that you have to walk-down to a kilometer to find a pack of wafers or even more to find a restaurant (or a place to eat). All you can find there are hardware shops all around. So you have no other option than to have something tasteless at hotel itself & also they will include huge taxes on food with no justification at all. The rude manager have no sense of hospitality & don't know even how to treat the guests. Worst Experience!!!

Booked this though MakemyTrip.
Hotel is located on the Madhya Marg, on the second floor of a very creepy building.
There are no lifts and you have to carry luggage to the hotel on your own from a narrow staircase.

Rooms are very old fashioned.

1. Bathroom looked like it was not cleaned since a few years.
2. The room so dusty & dirty that cobwebs & dust flew up when i switched on the fan.
3. Cigarette smoke from other rooms come enter the room.
4. No food is available near by.
5. No guaranteed privacy since the rooms face the corridors & loose curtains block the view. Windows are old style & were not secured.

I had booked a room through cleartrip for overnight stay in chandigarh and my stay turned out to be a good one. Hotel manager was friendly and helpful and arranged a taxi for us in the morning. Room was good and food was absolutely amazing at a very reasonable price. A good hotel to stay.

I opted this hotel after going through the reviews and was completely disappointed by the very sight of the hotel reception when we got into for a check-in. One has to climb two levels as there is no elevator facility. Though check-in formalities were handled well, the quality of the rooms are much below average. Half functional air-conditioner which gets off by itself after working for 3 to 5 minutes. Cheap fixtures and fairly maintained toilets adds to the misery. Absolutely no windows in the room. Worn out, over used furniture and abused mattress (foam mattress must be 4" or so in thickness originally has been reduced to 2" due to long term use) are added pain to the guest. Apart from good room boys there is nothing commendable to write.

I had reserved the room through on-line portal but was astonished when the receptionist told me that he would not be giving me the bill while checking out. He told me to get the bill from on-line portal from where I got reservation and hotel does not issue bills to any such on-line bookings. I drew his attention to the Taxes charged on the rooms (Rs. 371/-) by the on-line portal and asked him to explain to me how the hotel is going to pay it to the Government. At this point he understood that I am a hard nut to crack and issued a bill for my stay.

On the whole, I do not recommend this hotel to anyone until the hotel is completely refurbished.
