At very reasonable prices and premium quality rooms, you need not think twice about staying at The Pioneer. Present at the heart of the city of Vizag, it is accessible to most of the mainstream shopping malls, and restaurants. The employees at this place are very friendly, responsive, and do their best to make you feel at home. Most importantly, the rooms are very elegant with all the basic amenities one could possibly need. Overall, had a very pleasant experience staying at The Pioneer.

We stayed in this hotel from 28th till 30th January 2020. The staff from the reception to the cleaners/maids are all very friendly and accommodating. When we request to have our stay extended for another 3 hrs because of our flight, they say yes. We are so grateful to them.
The rooms are very nice and clean as shown in the pictures. We will definitely come back to this hotel in our future trips to Visakhapatnam

Good ambience and prompt response No restaurant. Morning breakfast is supplied as complementary and taste is good.All south Indian food items are provided for breakfast. Air conditioner and TV switches are not in appropriately placed.Free wi fi is provided but it is working only near reception. Room service and house keeping is excellent. Staff are very cooperative. Washrooms are maintained properly. Locker facilities are also available. Management is providing cool water and hot water also.

Very clean room and bathroom. Room service was prompt whenever items were requested. Breakfast buffet was top notch - all food items were tasty and of high quality. Papaya was the best I have ever tasted! Staff also very polite and hospitable.

lodge not a hotel. Positives include the convenient location and very nice staff members. Front desk is excellent and professional. The positives end there in my opinion. The rooms are dated, poorly maintained, not exceptionally clean, and not well equipped. There was no wardrobe, fridge, or kettle for example. My room also had crusty paint peeling from every wall, and black mould coating the AC unit. The rooms are also incredibly noisy, from both street noise and mostly from the sound of other guests. This is made worse by the very heavy doors with no slow close mechanism. All night you will just hear doors slamming. The bathrooms are beyond basic. Mine had a dangerously low fan and a leaking shower enclosure. The included breakfast was a groundhog day experience of the same limited items. All too salty or oily for my preference. The limited daily two repeated options of fruit (papaya and watermelon) were often not ripe. The lift doesn't rise from ground floor, and the AC cant be adjusted in your room as other guests have noted in their reviews. This is possibly part of managements' enjoyment of being in absolute control or to protect their privacy and preferences while living on site. Management have silver spoon syndrome more generally and during my stay were rude, abrasive and bordering on hostile in my view. This included being stared at everywhere I went by the manager's son, lectured on the global hospitality industry by the manager and just generally being made to feel completely unwelcome. The manager himself appears to live (but not work) on site as he is regularly seen enjoying the breakfast or lounging around on the one sofa in reception. I checked out early and went elsewhere. Vizag has many actual hotels. Many with wardrobes, respectful hospitality and hosts with an ounce of humility. Go to those.

I stayed at this place many times. The location could not be better. The rooms are kept spic and span. It has always been a very comfortable stay. The dining hall is a simple place designed to have food. The service leaves nothing to be desired. The breakfast is very filling and of high quality standards. They have a minimal food menu for lunch and dinner but with many options for delivery this is no big deal. I would recommend Pioneer highly for business or pleasure stays.

All my earlier visits to Vizag was in a particular Hotel. This time my Family member booked this Hotel and we stayed for 3 nights. Henceforth it would only be Pioneer for us. Its a nice Botique Hotel where the owner himself monitors all aspects including Food quality. Even the Staff are courteous, efficient and extend efficient service. Breakfast menu is wide spread & Restaurant is exclusive for In-House guests only. Dinner too offers good veg variety and Non veg items could be ordered with advanced intimation and they dont disaapoint you. Though its in the heart of the city, we wouldn't hear any noise.

The Pioneer is an amazing hotel located centrally in Vizag with neat and clean rooms serving a scrumptious South Indian layout for breakfast. The staff is extremely helpful and kind. Totally recommend this place!

I spent 6 days in this hotel with my family. The hotel is extremely clean and rooms are well maintained. Complimentary breakfast has lots of options.Special mention must be made of the idli, filter coffee and fresh fruits. Rooms and bathrooms are cleaned daily.Location is also very good. Only 3 km from the railway station and in VIP road, which offers lots of restaurant options too. All tourist places are accessible from the hotel by taxi or auto.Would stay again in this hotel if I travel again.

Management and staff were the best , they are very polite and helpful. Gave us better discount, They gives best option for extending room if needed by saving money for us. Over all Management are very good to speak.I prefer this hotel next time as well , neatness is good, they server complimentary breakfast as well. well in the middle city , bear for shopping and beach, temples.
