The condition of one of the best cottage in APTDC’s Tyda Jungle Bell is as in the photos. This is how it was when I checked in. Even after waiting for over an hour nobody turned up to clean. Dismal state of management.
True to its name, it is a very nice place in the midst of Jungle just on the roadside. Rooms are recently renovated and comfortable for stay will all moderate amenities. Food served in the restaurant is also good, though the menu has limited items.
Ideal for peaceful relaxation in a jungle, without any outside contact! The resort is constructed in a jungle by APTDC, close to nature. The only sound was the vehicle horns on the nearby road! The rooms are on a slopy hill and one needs to climb a few steps to reach the rooms. A trek is also available for a morning walk. Swings are provided from tree branches. We also had a campfire with dinner served there. No mobile network nor any wifi in the hotel! Service appeared slow.
The location of the nature camp is on vizag araku highway , around 75 kms from vizag. It is really a very beautiful nature camp , having heavenly scenic beauty ,which one can have from the cottages . The cottages are well placed . Front desk staff was good . Rooms were clean . Roads are very dangerous outside, being a highway , not very safe for long walking . A little walk can lead you to the rail line and having a tunnel in front of that , which is a nice view, train coming out of the tunnel . The main problem of this area is you will not get any connection in your mobile apart from bsnl or jio. But the local people are really very helpful , if you ask them for their mobile to make a call, they don't refuse . The security guard was very nice and was cotinuously giving his phone to every guest to make call. The kitchen is okay , being run by local people, don't expect continental or Chinese cuisines here. Go with the local south indian cuisines. Price is moderately high , which is expected , as the place is very interior. Only thing staffs could have been more professional and courteous,.As the hotel is not well connected by any means and the location is remote, staff should be much more helpful ,which becomes a necessity . But staffs are more like other govt run lodge staffs. I was feeling like they are more willing to snatch money by different means , taking the advantage that the place is interior and no communication nor phone calls can be made. Service can be made better . Rather than unnecessarily charging . As I mentioned earlier lack of professionalism , one cup tea was charged 20Rs on the 1st day , next day they charged Rs 10 for that . Though tea as a part of the complimentary breakfast ,they provide.Which is not the case.…
For staying with relax and privacy, this is a Nice place for staying one or two days. The cottages are nice & well maintained. Stuffs are co-operative, foods are nice in the canteen. you can enjoy the natural beauty here. But beware of monkey's.
We had been there and stayed in a newly built cottage..The maintenance was good. Staff was ok. Nature can be observed at its best from here. Huge variety of birds can be seen from the balcony throughout the day.
People who are looking for privacy rest and relaxation this is the best place I prefer newly married couples will enjoy this place. This would be on your way to araku valley it takes couple of minutes to reach valley
Overall we had a good experience in this place. Don't miss this experience but always have a backup. We had read all the negative reviews about the place on this same website and were very pensive about visiting the place. So we resisted the urge to book the place online. Instead we decided we would check the place out personally before booking. And we were quite surprised by what we saw, the resort was properly renovated. and maintenance was alright. Haven't faced the large number of issues that have been pointed out here. Lucky for us that we were here on a weekday and had the luxury of choice for the rooms. We personally visited the rooms and finalized the ones that we liked. The reviews are probably about the state of affairs some time back, but the condition has improved. Each type of room that we saw has been properly renovated and was hygienic. I wouldn't mind visiting this place again no hot water problem no bedbugs clean bathrooms. No electricity issue. Pros: Great atmosphere. Zero Cell Phone signal unless u have JIO or BSNL(it's a PRO for me:)) Hygiene wise also satisfactory. The vegetarian fare was also satisfactory. You can book a bonfire. Cons: A bit far from Araku, but no other hotel in this area has this atmosphere. go here for the experience alone. you should also try the early morning trek. No phone to order Room services You have to inform the person face to face by walking all the way down from your room Or when you arrive so that they plan accordingly.(well in Advance!!!)…
Jungle bells nature camp is one of the best options available in Araku. The only point to note is it is 40Kms away from Araku. So you need to travel for 40kms to reach the destination. So there must be a proper plan if you are planning to visit this resort
When I requested for a room change they gave me New room. Even we have a big lizard in the false room of room 111. Please deny. Other things are good. Also they took 20/- for a cup of coffee when I went around 8 am. The reason they told is coffee is free only after breakfast time. I am not happy because I was charged even for a cup of coffee where I spent 2300/- for room rent there.
