i am just back from my araku-vizag outing. during vizag we stayed in erstwhile saraswathi orchid however its now jayabheri orchid. its near the railway station and thats the only scoring point of its location. otherwise its a nightmarish experience. there is no restaurant so its more a lodge now than a hotel. everything is room service based. even they wont give you a water container. the stuff are out to serve you to garner the baksish and thats all they can do rooms have no balcony so you cannot soak your daily used garments even. the famous RK beach is some distant away so there is no scope for you to have a bath in the sea. they are charging 650 for a non-AC room which to my mind way too bit high which they are giving you in return. just to mention that i stayed with them for four days and during these four days one of my room they cleaned it just for one day and the towel was changed only once. you can well imagine what service they are dishing out to travelers. so if you are planning a trip to vizag................be aware of ORCHID…
good rooms, service of reception good, room service best and easy to reach from bus and railway station

We finally settled on one that didn't have visible cockroaches - only ruined walls and dirty bedsheets with greasy spots. We paid for the room, and when we went for a walk, we didn't have the heart to sleep there. So we booked a PRICY but WONDERFUL room at Dolphin Hotel across the street, and went back for our backpacks. If you want a budget hotel in the area, just walk around the Dolphin Hotel - there's plenty of hotels and lodges, and although we didn't check them out, some looked very clean and nice.…
