View - View of the bay of bengal from atop this little hill is breathtaking. Rooms are all sea facing, so I believe views from any of the rooms is superb. The strong curve of the beach tapering towards the further end makes it all the more beautiful.

Rooms - We booked from Kolkata APTDC. I wanted a private verandah. My room charge per day was Rs. 2644 (incl taxes). The AC room was spacious, clean with double bed, had a large LCD, 2 sofas, coffee table, wardrobe, a small refrigerator, geyser in the bathroom...

Restaurant - The sea facing restaurant serves very good food. It also has an open section which is very soothing at night owing to the soft sea breeze.

Service - I had a feedback from friends about poor service, but surprisingly I found the service to be very satisfying.

Location - 16-18 km away from the railway stn and 24 km from the airport beach resort is remotely located and I found no shops nearby. Beach is a long flight of tiring stairs (esp when you are returning).

Beach - The beach line is short but good for bathing owing to absence of rocks. The beach hardly ever gets crowded due to the remoteness.

The hotel was situated on a cliff just overlooking the Bay of Bengal. May be not the greatest when it comes to the facilities, but the location scored above all. I loved the picture perfect scenery from the hotel balcony and cant think about any other hotels which can match its location. Service was not up to the mark.

We stayed at the Punnami Rushikonda at Vizag during our honeymoon as Sai Priya could not offer us rooms for our entire duration of stay. This property is now named Haritha Beach Resort. Being an APTDC property we booked for the rooms through the APTDC office. The booking process was cumbersome as booking has to be done directly at the office and payment has to be made in cash and very frequently their link was unavailable. We stayed for 3 days after moving in from the Sai Priya.
We had heard a lot about this resort before coming down and had lots of expectations. The location of the resort is fabulous as it stands on top of the hill overlooking the Rushikonda beach, which is in my opinion one of the finest beaches in India today. The rooms are all styled like cottages on 2 floors. The best part of the hotel is the fantastic view it offers from the hotel. Not all rooms have a good view but from the balcony or from most parts of the hotel you get a mesmerising view of the sea and the surroundings. The hotel offers a complimentary breakfast which is simple fare. However during our stay at the hotel we dined regularly at the restaurant "Offshores" which offers great food and a great view too. We did not try room service during our stay but it appears that other guests had been facing problems. Now for the worst part, the rooms we stayed in were sub-standard. Small in size for this type of a resort and the beds were awful. There were bed-bug and inspite of complaining nothing was done. We almost stayed awake all night and spent the day outdoors. There are also no room / toilet complimentary items. Basic ammenities like television, hot water etc are okay. The exteriors and common areas of the hotel are however clean and well maintained. We would have enjoyed our stay had the rooms & furnishings been better. I do hope to visit this hotel improves on it rooms so that guests can enjoy their stay here.

Its a out of the world xperience of staying there. We were simply amazed by the location and ambience of this property. Room service n staff behaviour n coordination r unique. Food is great though South Indian but amazing. Its a very serene place to njoy Rishikonda Beach from the rooms even. U can njoy sunrise n sunset from UR rooms even. Rooms r like semi studio apprtment. Xcept kitchen facility. Being at height its a good cool retreat compared to City weather. Definitely far from city but its a place to unwind in solitude.

The moment you see this resort location either on website or through brochure you think of staying there, but actual trouble starts only when you stay there. Govt of Andhra Pradesh, tourism dept Punnami Rishikonda resort stay really gives you bad experience. It is very far from City, naturally you will have to resort on the service they provide, as you have no other go to go out and buy something for you. But here if you order something you will get that particular item only when it becomes cold. If you order something very cold, you will get that only after it becomes hot. After at least 10 requests, pleadings & shoutings, they MAY/MAYNOT clean your room. Service is very bad. View is very good from each room.

This Resort easily tops the list for location, views, Room Size, Balcony and the value for money. You get fantastic views of the beach and the hills and the beautiful Vizag-Bhimli Beach Road. The Rooms are Large and Spacious and the Balcony is so Big that you can run around--almost the same size as the Room Itself. This is a AP tourism run Resort so.. don't expect great Room Service or Food or Facilities. Its very ordinary.. But definitely a place that's worth the money.

Pros: The Best View compared to any hotel in Vizag, Large Rooms, Nice Location, Not expensive

Cons: Bathrooms are not very clean, Room Service is average and so is the Food.

This property is located in a really nice location with all the rooms having best sea/beach view. Some rooms have balcony and the ones without balcony are more spacious. You can still enjoy the view through the full wall glass window. The bathrooms were not maintained well. The water was not draining and door was broken. I really wish they take care of maintenance issues seriously, and do it on a ongoing basis. Rather than wait until it is completely broken and fixing it. I really enjoyed the view. Food is reasonably priced and good at Vihar restaurent adjacent to it. You have to eat breakfast only at the hotel restaurent which is OK. There are no other places close by to get breakfast. Hotel attendants wake you up to give you breakfast coupons in the morning rather than the giving them when checked in which I thought is very annoying. You go on a vacation not to get disturbed as much as possible. By the way, there is no AC or proper fans in the hotel restaurent.

We stayed for 3 nights in October 2011. We booked into the a/c rooms & the views from our rooms were breathtaking. The rooms were big, well furnished, clean & well maintained. Each room had its own balcony with sitting arrangement . Standing in the balcony of your room and watching the waves break on the shore, seeing the sunrise.. or the distant lights on the distant hills just takes away all your botherations.
service was also good but food was average... but trust me the view from the rooms are so GOOD that a foodie like me didn’t mind the absence of vairety or the lack in taste.
