We checked in to the Sentinel on 22nd and stayed there for four days. The General Manager Sohail personally made sure everything right from our pick up from and to the airport were taken care of and a lovely, romantic dinner was organised on the outdoor deck of the restaurant. A special mention to DP Singh sir and Rubdeep who own the property..they are really warm and amazing people who are the pioneers of the hospitality industry in Andamans. If you plan to visit Port Blair, look no further than the Sentinel.

We recently came back from an awesome vacation at Andaman and we stayed at Hotel Sentinel for 2 nights. Entire family was travelling, so we took 3 rooms. The hotel is located close to most attractions in Port Blair and is great value for money. The rooms were clean, food was good and service was great. Special shout out to Tanveer for helping us with several things.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Port Blair.

I had a very good stay at this hotel. The rooms were very clean and spacious, and had all the amenities we needed. Pawan Vohra was very polite, courteous and helpful in his hospitality. He guided us the best places to visit and how. He even upgraded our Luxury Double Room to Royal Suite for 1 night. The food (I'm a vegetarian) here is awesome, be it Indian, Chinese, or dessert. We didn't even look for other food options, since, we knew that there are not much good vegetarian options in Port Blair. This hotel is also close to airport, only about 3 kms away, so we took the cab directly from airport services which costed us ₹200/- only for non-AC cab.

We stayed here only for a night. The reception staff were pleasant at check in and check out. The room was spacious and clean but slightly damp smelling.
The hotel is located not very far from the market and the airport but in itself it is at the end of a narrow lane, so its not really walkable especially after dark you do require a transport. We had an early morning flight so they offered to give us a packed breakfast. When we opened the package at the airport - it had 2 rotten bananas, 2 stale and smelly sandwiches and a packet of chips! Had to throw away the entire lot. Whereas other passengers from some of the other 4 star hotels had very well packaged fresh hot food in their packed breakfast. The breakfast they gave us, was probably packed the previous evening and had rotted in the hot and humid weather. I mean, if you can't serve proper food - don't offer it.

Not a great experience. Room was not cleaned and not maintained properly. They are using hard doormat outside bathroom instead of foot towels which was very dirty. The taps were not working properly and wash basin was not easy to use. Not enough lights in the room & windows position was very uncomfortable as it was opening in the common area. not enough staff at restaurant too. Food was ok. I asked for baby food clearly mentioning my requirement but they did some experiments.

We had visited Andamans in the month of July 2023 as two families and stayed at Silver Sands Port Blair, Havelock and Neil Islands and to our surprise the service at all three locations was very good. I must appreciate the management and all the staff for providing such good service and ensuring our stay a memorable one.
I definitely recommend Silver Sand Hotels & Resorts for the following reasons: 1. Staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. 2. Clean rooms, towels and good housekeeping. 3. AC was good and comfortable. 4. Restaurant food was good, tasty and fresh. (South Indian breakfast option such as dosa, idly, pongal, etc. was a plus) 5. Good and clean swimming pools (kids loved it) 6. Overall clean hotel and resorts 7. Good guidance if you need any assistance or help finding places or transport
The resorts at Silver Sands, Havelock & Neil Islands were great, we just loved the atmosphere and the private beach set-up.
Overall, Silver Sands (Port Blair, Havelock & Neil Islands) is a great place if you are looking for a peaceful, comfortable and quality stay with family and friends.
One minor suggestion to improve the service is to add more TV channels since there is plenty of time in the evening for guests to relax and it gets a bit boring. The reason being guests are not allowed to use the Swimming Pool or the Beach late evenings for safety reasons and there is nothing much to do since most places are closed after 6pm or so.
(Note for tourists: In general the overall wifi and data in Andamans is not that great, so this might disappoint you if you wish to attend to any urgent work or stream. Very limited options for South Indian food. Fresh milk tea or coffee is rare, mostly powder milk used in most places. Food is expensive so be prepared to shell a few bucks.)
Please make sure you don't miss scuba diving (for beginners Shore Diving is recommended), Jetski, Parasailing, etc. Cave exploration, nature watch, trekking, etc. are all optional depending on your duration of stay.

Hotel Sentinel is placed at a bit isolated place where you can relax for the whole day after reaching to port blair and having a tiring flight. They have a swimming pool, and amazing food, also the rooms are good and very spacious. They also have a Bar near swimming pool to enjoy your night with light music as well. The services, management and staff everything deserves 5 star. It is really a nice property to stay at while coming for the most awaited trip to Andaman.

Stayed for only a night, we had to wait a while before we were allotted rooms, but the overall check in process was smooth. The hotel property is maintained well and the rooms are fairly large. A lot in the rooms felt a bit run down, like the air conditioning needed servicing, the sheets and the bed did not feel dry, and the shower curtain was mouldy. There is a lot of brown in the rooms that hide a lot that should have been cleaned. The breakfast was average with nothing stand out to talk about. Overall not the best experience but could have been better with just some attention to detail.

We, a family of four had stayed at Hotel Sentinal for couple of days.
Location: Good. Though not on the main road, Autos and cabs are easily available to the places nearby. If beach is not the priority and need one at the city centre, then this hotel is a suggested one.
Rooms: Rooms were neat and clean.
Food: Since no restaurant outside is at the walkable distance, we had to eat mostly at the hotel restaurant. Food was tasty though it was a bit pricey. Menu choice at the Breakfast buffet was also impressive. Staff at the restaurant are friendly.
Service: Prompt room service. Accommodative and helpful staff at the reception.
Ambience: Neat, spacious, comfortable, compact swimming pool.

Location in excellent place,In centre of the city,where you can go every top attractions in the city. Cleanliness in the room with each and every facilities makes your mood happy to visit again in this hotel. Staff is co-operative and energy time ready to serve your need.Food is too much tasty and restaurant staff is also happy to serve you .Overall performance of hotel is excellent for stay in this hotel again with nominal staff of large rooms. One thing we feel need in the rooms i.e. foldable wire in the rooms for putting wet clothes in the rainy season for its soak up to use next time.

Yes but sometimes the machine doesn't work. Connectivity is an issue on the islands in general. So prior preparation to deal with this challenge helps. However, there are ATMs pretty close to Sentinel from where you can withdraw money. Best option would be do make online payment (through bank transfer) for the majority of the amount and pay the rest at the hotel.
You are making a good choice and like I said in my review the approach to this hotel may not impress you but the rooms and the services are very good. You will have to check with the Hotel for availabilities.
There are more places to choose from in the Port Blair area.
