Property's Favourite Review
Me & a friend stayed in Hotel SeaScape for 7 days ( out of the 12 days in Andaman) People had written amazing reviews about this property, and we took the risk of booking all 7 days. It turned out to be the best option in Port Blair, for multiple reasons. We used the Hotel as our base of operations in the Andamans. 1) Location & proximity to Port Blair landmarks: - The hotel is 5-10 mins from the Airport - a big plus. - Cellular Jail, Aberdeen/Phoenix Bay/Haddo Jetty, Corbyn's beach, Bus stand etc are within a 10-15 min timeline. This makes it really convenient during inter island ferry transfers, or excursions by bus to different islands. Taxis of hotels/private have fixed rates ( even a km costs Rs.250-300) 2) Amenities & Cleanliness: - The hotel overall maintains cleanliness, and it is visible around the premises. - Rooms are kept at the highest standards, and the usables like towels etc are fresh. - Our Room was quite spacious for 2 people and we had no problem whatsoever. - There is a Restaurant for all meals during the day. - The staff also packs breakfast for people taking early morning ferries etc. - BSNL phones are the ideal solution in Andamans. Airtel works well in Port Blair, Neil, Havelock - Wifi is available at the hotel - There is an open terrace that overlooks a part of the sea and a jungle area. - Any additional request will be promptly catered to by the staff at the hotel (in-room issues, help with scooty bookings, guidance etc) 3) Room Rates & Customers : - The rates of the hotel are surprisingly economical for an island destination. Worth every penny spent! - We saw couples, families, solo travelers, old couples - all kinds of customers at the property. - There are different rooms that can accommodate everyone - 2 bed,4 bed, extra bed etc. - Room options are City/Greenery/Sea facing. 4) Service & Staff: - Courteous, pro active and genuinely caring staff at the hotel. Attention to detail from every department was great to experience. - There is a rotating menu at the restaurant on a daily basis. Variety of food is good. - Sometimes we had to wait for room delivery, or at breakfast times, since the hotel was sold out for so many days in a week. We realized that ordering early is the best option. 5) Ownership: One of the reasons that our trip was elevated was due to our interaction with Ms.Punam & her daughter ( owners of the property). - Andaman can be a complicated place with changing rules, circulars, lack of information etc - We had to chalk out our 12 days from the start, since tourism board/DC office etc wasn't providing correct info daily. Our flexibility was dependent on the guidance of Ms.Punam - she provided us with deep insights on how to move around the Andaman islands ( we had to constantly trouble her for this) We had an amazing time with Ms.Punam - sometimes having conversations with a local inhabitant of Andaman can provide an experience like no other :) Our trip to Diglipur, Baratang, Rangat ( apart from the usual Havelock & Neil) which involved a combination of Ferries, Buses, Taxis and overnight stays, was due to her guidance. Her, and the staff's personal attention to detail towards all guests, distinguishes them from other properties in Port Blair. For the long duration of our stay, SeaScape turned out to be a blessing in disguise - From a budget and experiential point of view. After understanding how other properties operate, we would recommend SeaScape to anyone entering Port Blair :)

A decent hotel. I used this as a night stopover to catch morning ferry to havelock. Staff is nice, food is good. There is a supermarket nearby to buy some daily stuff, if needed. Autos are available frequently on the road for short trips around port blair.

I booked this hotel for 3 nights after reading reviews and this proved to be my biggest mistake. This hotel is the smallest hotel i have ever stayed in. Technically it's a homestay. The bedsheets were dirty. I asked them to replace it but they replaced it with even dirtier one. The bathroom had no soap, no comb, no dental or shaving kit, no shampoo, no bucket, infact it had nothing apart from yellow water. And there was some weird smell in bathroom. The drinking water had foul smell as well. The electric kettle was faulty, there was no ironing board, no safe to keep important stuff. Almirah was dirty and looked like a left over small cupboard. The location of the hotel is also not good as it is difficult to get autos from there which are way cheaper compared to booking a taxi in port blair. They pack breakfast for people leaving in early morning ferries but that is just a cold sandwich with sweet mayonnaise which no one in my family could eat. You cannot pay more than 2000 rupees for this hotel as it has nothing. There are far better hotels near airport so my advise is to book those hotels if you want an above average stay.

If we could, then we would have given Sea Scape Port Blair more than five stars! We are a family from Denmark who travel a lot all around the world. However the level of helpfulness which we have experienced from Poonam at Sea Scape cannot be compared to any other hotel we have booked. An example: we were not aware of the fact that our return tickets with Air India had to be rescheduled as Port Blair airport would be closed due to renovation. Poona texted us this information while Air India didn’t mention a word!! I tried rebooking with AIr India and was told that they were not aware of any such closing. In other words, I have to pay penalty and a big fare difference if we rescheduled. Here is where Poonam took over. She personally contacted theAir India office in Port Blair. She is the only reason why we got the tickets rescheduled promptly and without any charges. A level of professionalism one rarely meets. So if you’re in Port Blair, stay at this place. I am sure it would make you feel at home. Thank you so much from the Hansen family:-)

The hospitality was the best we had seen in the many places we stayed so far. The owner and the staffs took care of us very well. The owner Poonam helped finding the right resort in Haveloc island, including making the necessary initial payments. This also includes planning the places to visit, the transportations from the moment we landed in Port Blair until dropping us back to the airport. The stay was like visiting family back home, felt very safe, no stress or worries about making bookings etc. We believe Poonam did the best of everything one could ask for. The hotel is very close to the airport and the sight seeing places. We had the best breakfast during our stay. The family room was spacious enough for a family of four. The room was clean and maintained well throughout our stay. The price compared to any other hotels of this standard is very cheap. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Port Blair.

A fantastic place to stay at Port Blair with a great service, great food and above all a perfect hostess, Mrs Punam, who is running the hotel. Guests fall in love with the place as she and her team delivers personalised service, be it in terms of helping in emergency room bookings, doing ferry ticket bookings and guiding how to enjoy your stay to the maximum. The room quality is good, toilets are clean and the sea view rooms have a good view of the sea. Absolutely recommended for stay at Port Blair.
