Detailed Reviews
We stumbled upon this hotel in Port Blair, while we were looking for a better place than our initial hotel. This one is newly renovated and hence rooms are in good condition and very clean. Service is okay. We didn't have any food from here as we had to leave early to the airport the following morning. They had offered to pack breakfast though.
Location is good, being close to Aberdeen Bazaar. You can easily get an auto rickshaw by walking to the main road.

I went a business trip to Port Blair, The hotel is very near to airport. But i cant say it is a best stay for a family because the room was very small. Not too good or not too bad, If more space is provided it would be good and also the rest room suppose to be little away from bed. Just okay anyhow I prefer to stay in this hotel next time.

I had the misfortune of staying in this hotel in January. Firstly, the noise from the construction was terrible. Hotel rooms were below average in terms of cleanliness and facilities. It's also not in the best of location. The above pales into significance when compared to the attitude to the staff.
I went to the hotel bar as the noise was extremely loud in my room. The restaurant staff then followed me into the bar and told me that I needed to sit in the restaurant. I told him that I wasn't hungry so wouldn't be sitting in the restaurant. Then two more staff came to tell me that I couldn't have a drink in the bar (I'd ordered a soft drink). A fourth man then arrived to tell me that in India women weren't allowed into bars... as a woman of Indian origin who has travelled in India before, this outrageously ridiculous statement was clearly something that I challenged him on. I then asked for the phone number of the hotel manager at which point, the four men that had been yelling at me were eventually silenced and I was eventually served my non-alcoholic drink.
Another negative is the room service, the boys that deliver lie about the charges, check your bill before you give cash.
This was a shame because some of the other staff were very sweet.
Being subjected to this type of treatment is disgusting, please do not stay at this horrible hotel.

Location: Hotel is located just 5 minutes away from airport. Its in the heart of the city. So very convenient to visit many tourist destinations in port blair.
Rooms: Rooms are clean and specious.
Food: Food was excellent.
Staff: Staff was friendly and co-operative.
The only disturbing thing was wifi was available only in reception. Its not available in any rooms.

The Aparupa is a bit run down and in need do a coat of paint in the rooms. The rooms are a decent size and clean enough and the bathroom is a basic Indian ensuite The staff were all very helpful and willing to assist
The location is 100m from the main road so very easy to walk down the hill and get an auto rickshaw to anywhere R50 any where in town
The A/C units are the old fashioned wall mounted ones and a bit noisy but also adequate
We stayed two nights on the way to the islands and one night on the way back

We stayed here for couple of days during our Andaman trip. Overall an average hotel, food was okay. Room service was prompt. You can stay here for a day or two and cover port Blair, its in center of the city. But you may find better options. If you look around :)
