Located right on the Bay of Bengal, Sinclairs Bayview is Port Blair's only hotel to offer a spectacular ocean view from most of its rooms, as it blends seamlessly with the surrounding landscape. The hotel offers 43 rooms and 3 suites, built in a series of levels, split against a sloping hillside overlooking the sea. All the rooms are equipped with cable TVs, direct dial STD telephones and modern facilities. Aesthetically designed, the rooms are refreshingly uncluttered and functional. The hotel has a lovely seaside garden restaurant, The Bayview, with an extended garden deck where guests can enjoy multi-cuisine fare. The Alto Espirito Spanish Bar with its elegant interiors and tempting selection of cocktails and snacks is best visited in the evenings. Guests can listen to soft music while enjoying a game of pool here. The freshwater outdoor swimming pool is open all year round. With a stunning view of the sea, it offers a tranquil experience. The 1,600 sq. feet Wood House is the hotel’s beautiful conference venue opening out to a lovely garden and overlooking the blue sea.

Sinclair's Bayview Port Blair earns accolades for its stunning location, with guests often mentioning the convenience and proximity to local attractions as well as the breathtaking sea views available from the family suites and the pool. The hotel's tranquil atmosphere and cleanliness receive positive remarks, although there is a call for better maintenance in some areas.
The service stands out, with staff members recognized for their friendliness and promptness. However, some guests feel that the hotel's pricing does not reflect the overall quality, noting high costs for both rooms and food.

This property (sincleairs bay view)has excellent view of sea from all the rooms. Rooms are sufficiently spacious, neat and clean equipped with all required amenities.
The location is on sea onside and has access to good walkway around sea on other side for morning and evening walks.
Hospitality of staff adds a lot to it, as all of them are very nice, humble and friendly. The extreme is food quality, mouth watering taste and you name the dish, chef Shuban is there to prepare it for you.
Service is quite good and they make you feel very comfortable treating every guest personally.

Very nicely located hotel, 5 minutes to most tourist points in Port Blair. Their USP is their location on a cliff with all rooms having excellent views of the ocean. Rooms are comfortable with all amenities with large French windows making it very bright and airy unlike most hotels. Staff is very friendly and accommodative to your needs. Very nice open air deck with sea view to have drinks and snacks in the evening. They are only let down by their restaurant. Menu and food are strictly average and they are understaffed in the restaurant area leading to poor service and lot of delay in taking orders and serving food. Also the restaurant is not very brightly lit and located on their lower most floor making it slightly depressing to sit in. I ended up eating most of my meals in room. Other than this I think it is a wonderful hotel to stay in.

Superb views from the rooms, and hotel facilities, very friendly staff. But that’s really it. The entire property looks really tired and not very neat- denoting serious management issues.
Posting a review might be pointless as although hotel management takes the time to reply to every single review, it is not addressing any of the issues reported repeatedly over the past years. Glass windows and doors are dirty, full of finger prints. Hair behind the toilet in bathroom, garden corners used to store undefined things (broken umbrellas, furniture), dead plants. Hectic mismatched decoration, scary stairs leading to the restaurant, horrible curtains hanging from the bay windows, plastic flowers in the buffet, empty pool depressing to watch- even if not in use during Covid. Wifi not reaching the rooms, beds not oriented towards the sea view, unhandy bathrooms, too small compared to the room size.
With previous stays in the Sea Shells of Havelock and Neil Islands where everything was spotless and tasteful, hard to understand the high rates here.

Dear Sir, Thank you for your review. Yes we are different from any other hotel in Port Blair because of our location. We will seek your indulgence to say that running a hotel in an island remains a challenging task, not the least because of arranging supplies from the mainland. Notwithstanding the constraints and high operational cost at an island hotel, we endeavour to give the best deal to our guests. We value your feedback and will look at the areas pointed out by you so that we can deliver an even better experience to our guests. We do hope you will give us a chance to be of service to you again and promise you a great experience in your next stay.

The property is wonderful. We stayed in the Family room (No.507). Location was great and the room was sea facing. It was comfortable, neat and tidy. All our requirements were looked after properly. The staff behaviour too is commendable, starting from Front desk to Housekeeping to Restaurant and room service. Everyone at the restaurant was very polite, humble and they went to the maximum extent possible to ensure we were having a lovely time and the food that reached us was fresh and good. Senior Restaurant supervisor DEEP and server AKASH are the names I can recollect who along with others made our dining experience really nice. The food too is great. The buffet spread for breakfast was complimentary and dinner buffet was value for money as well. We loved our stay at sinclairs! However, the glass window of the room from where the sea can be seen, needs to be cleaned so that it can offer a better view.

This hotel is a great option in Port Blair with an excellent view of the ocean. The staff is courteous. The restaurant and room service have good variety but overall they have nothing to offer which can be compared to Amaaya in sea shell which is a roof top restaurant with great food.
The hotel needs to go further upmarket and then they'll have an unbeatable combination of location, food and courteous staff.

Stayed 4 nights with family and was totally mesmerized by the view this hotel provides from almost all its room. As the lift was getting repaired and we had issues climbing steps we were alloted the ground floor room which actually was about 3 to 4 floors above the sea level. Very few hotels will have such fantastic view of the sea from its bed.
On the con side the property needs some renovation and its WiFi connection was very poor. Apart from that everything was perfect.
Mr Pankaj Singh of the front office went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. Highly appreciate his service. All other staff were very helpful and prompt in providing whatever we asked....whether it was room cleaning or ironing board or hair dryer.
The buffet spread was a bit limited but was tasty.
Overall a wonderful stay!

The hotel has an amazing view and very helpful staff. We had booked the family room to accommodate 4 adults. The room was nice and the sea view from the room was also very great. However, the washroom is quite problematic. The toilet and bathroom were separate with a common wash basin outside both toilet and bathroom. There were no locks in the washroom, the gates were made out of white plastic with just a knob and no locking system (not even a latch) and there was an open space besides the wash basin but there was no door or curtain to separate it from the room. It becomes quite problematic to change or visit the washroom with no separation or locks and 4 people sharing the room.
Their breakfast spread is great and tastes quite good, however their ala carte lunch and dinner menu has very limited veg options. Also, do keep in mind that there is no lift to the cafeteria, one would need to use the stairs essentially which would be problematic for elderly. Additionally, the hotel has pool with sea view but it’s not that well maintained.
The hotel’s location is very good. It’s close to most attractions and has good connectivity of autos. The hotel also has a Japanese bunker and canon inside its campus and you can walk down to the sea as well (although that would need one to climb a rocky steep path down the stairs).
Overall the hotel has amazing views, a part of history and great customer service going for it but needs better maintainence. Would recommend visiting it.
With some little changes and better maintenance, the hotel could be a 4-5 star property but sadly it’s a missed opportunity.

Extremely overpriced property given the amenities. The only plusses are the location (surrounded by sea on 2 sides) and large room sizes. Everything else needs a lot of improvement. The hotel was built as a luxury property once but is in a very dilapidated state. You can actually see the wood rotting on the exterior walls of the hotel. Pool was extremely dirty with pigeon poop and feathers all over it. No security guards present at the gate at most times. Breakfast spread is decent with prompt service but the breakfast area is very hot with poor air conditioning. The bathroom tiles are just regular ones and become very slippery when wet. Very risky. The bathroom door made a loud screeching noise while opening and closing. My kid woke up from his sleep everytime because of it. The pool area is most ignored with no tables or F&B offerings there. Extremely dirty that part is. There are clothes hanging for drying in the passages leading to the room. Definitely not worth INR 9k per night that we paid. Needs a lot of work and improvements.

This hotel is a run-down property and the pictures does not reflect the true quality of the hotel. It does not even qualify for a 2-star property. Though it is sea-facing with great views it is not maintained properly. The property is full of Pigeon excreta including the pool and the restaurant is not kept clean. All breakfast cereals are kept wrapped in plastic cling on wrap & kept under the buffet area. Tables and floors are not clean. Room looks dingy and does not give a good feel.
The property looks very well lit during night time & makes it look beautiful, hence the pictures online, but it is not a gud place.
Receptionist has so much of attitude towards guests and does not even know how to treat the guests. REALLY NOT A 3/4 STAR PROPERTY. There are other better hotels in Port Blair in the same vicinity

Dear Sir, Kindly intimate us your requirement.
It should be in the range of 500 to 600.
However, there is a wonderful restaurant at the end of the strand, you really get lot of sea food including Jumbo Lobsters.
Jumbo is a real jumbo and would cost you around Rs1500/-
Auto Rickshaw will take you back to Bay View
If i remember it right, the restaurant is called Lighthouse.
There is no way you can miss it otherwise even since it is the only restaurant there
