I read a lot of negative reviews prior to our stay and I have to say I was positively surprised by the property and our experience. I would like to rate the property 4 1/2 but since TA does not allow this I gave them an extra half star to compensate for all the negativity. Tahiti resorts probably suffer from...

Based on our experience with Le Meridien Etoile in Paris, I did not hesitate to book this hotel. However, all properties are apparently not comparable. We booked this hotel for two nights before an Oceania cruise. The first room we were taken to was in an old section, far away from the main hotel building. It was dirty, hot, and...

We arrived in Tahiti and wanted a family friendly and comfortable place to stay for a few days before and after our boat cruise. Le Meridien was great. Away from the hustle and bustle of Papeete with lovely amenities and great restaurants. It was very relaxed. Great gardens and staff. I would highly recommend this hotel for any stays in...

It is down hill from the start with the front desk. The front desk people are not friendly or make any effort to insure you are pleased. They offered a shuttle to town; followed by it is $17.00 per person and the last shuttle was at 2pm for a ride back to the hotel. It was 12 noon and what...

We flew in from Bora Bora and needed a place to relax before our midnight flight to LAX in late May. The Meridien fit the bill! We enjoyed a very modern, clean room and later had a well prepared dinner in the main outdoor dining area. The entire experience was just what we needed before a long flight, so I'd...

After a long flight from Los Angeles, it is quite pleasant to arrive at the newly remodeled Le Meridien. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and quiet. Drapes open to a lovely, watery landscape. A shade in the bathroom opens so one can soak and enjoy the view. Water bungalows are lovely. Wood walls and adornment give them a feeling of warmth....

This hotel was good for spending one night. The general appearance is a bit old, as the rooms, but ok. The pool and the beach are nice. The restaurant at the beach was too expensive, but the food was delicious for lunch and dinner. The rooms didn´t have wifi, only in the lobby free wifi.

Dear guest, Thank you for taking the time to write a review about our hotel. We are sorry if we did not entirely match with your expectations. Reading your review, I would like to precise one thing, our rooms do have wifi but with a fee. I just wanted to not make the confusion with other tripadvisor users. Kind regards

The rooms were nice but nothing amazing - certainly not the mental image I had of Tahiti. The staff were not warm or helpful and there was barely a smile. I would suggest that management send their head staff to Le Meridien in Bora Bora for a couple of days to see how guests should be treated. This part of...

I looked at all hotels in Papeete before deciding where to stay. In visiting the Intercontinental and the Le Meridien, I found both of them to be similar. Neither is a 5+ star hotel.....They are pretty resort hotels at the jumping off point for the Other islands. I chose the Le Meridian because I am a part of Starwood and...

Lovely and welcoming Hotel a 15min drive from Papeete. We enjoyed our stay, we booked a garden view room and got a sea view on top of it. Good, friendly and attentive service at the Pool Restaurant for lunch, food was enjoyable - but not more. The beach is pleasant to relax and to snorkel or swim.
