Hi there! Our resort website has a nice list of other activities we can help you arrange. Taveuni has lots of outdoor-related activities -- especially hikes! The waterfalls on the east side of the island are spectacular, and you an easily make some full or half day excursions experiencing the rainforest and waterfalls in the Bouma National Heritage Park. Prices vary from 15-40 or so FJD. Transportation from our resort to the trailheads and back can easily be arranged, and a cab ride is typically around 80-100 FJD or so round trip (that gives you a cab pretty much for an entire day).

Hi Kathy, the only issues we ever really have with wifi is the fact that during storms, sometimes the cell towers can be damaged, causing outages. These are very infrequent, and outside of our control. With our uptime for the network hovering around 85-90%, the same as any other resort on Taveuni. I would not expect any issues if you are planning a visit in September. We won't be adding wifi to our rooms. Feedback from our guests supports the design goal of keeping the rooms peaceful. Wifi is always available in the restaurant. Finally, we don't have any issues with hot water availability. Each unit is equipped with an electric booster heater for the solar water tank in the event of cloudy weather. We normally keep those boosters off to conserve power, since we generate our own power. We ask that our guest let us know if the water temperature is not hot enough, and we can then turn the booster on. Unfortunately, some guests forget to tell us! If the water temp isn't right, let us know and we can help you out.

According to the FAQ at our website, diving's great year round. May through September gives the best visibility underwater, and the nicest weather topside. That said, if you like warmer water (and a bit lower visibility) and don't mind a bit of rain, October through February is nice.
