I stayed at Nakia with my fiancé's family for four days and cannot say enough great things about it. We left just yesterday and here I am writing my first ever Trip Advisor review - it was that wonderful! The staff made us feel like family: from Jackie driving us to the resort, to friendly Aunt Joyce with her welcome...

We are a couple from San Francisco and stayed in Nakia for 5 nights. and dove with Taveuni Ocean Sports for four days. We gave both the resort and Julie's dive shop 5-stars! Truely kind, warm, friendly people and well run operations. We arrived in Taveuni airport after 20 hours of traveling through LAX and Nadi, pissed off and exhausted....

From the moment we stepped off the plane we were greeted with warm smiles and warmth. The food was amazing and totally accommodated our Vegan Diet. The best food ever, especially the Fijiian Cruisine. The accommodations were filled with a great breeze and incredible sunset views. The hosts were very accommodating offering us a wide range of activities from biking...

We were fortunate to stay a full week at Nakia resort & dive. Sept 2014. The hosts couldn't have been more gracious or friendly, as all the staff. The meals were lovingly prepared and presented. Outstanding food! Most of it grown on site in their organic gardens. Taveuni is known as the Garden Isle. It is beautiful and lush. The...

We travel a lot and stayed at many places including top resorts and hotels and I am very discerning and detailed person. Imagine a boutique hotel--4 cottages--each one well designed, and all systems functional [hard to find in remote places]; a staff and the owners seeing to your every need; home cooked meals of great taste [the best curry and...

We stayed a week with Jim and Robin at Nakia Dive resort. We did two dives a day with Julie and her crew, as well as surfing, kayaking, and hiking. We had a simply wonderful time at Nakia. All the food was grown on the property, they were easily able to accommodate vegan diets, and the food was fabulous by...

We came to go diving. And it was sensational. So many great sites introduced to us by our dive master, Manassa and boat captain Dua. We were well briefed and looked after, and rewarded with many wonderful dives. We cannot praise their professionalism and thank them for their camaraderie, enough. The family owned and operated Nakia Resort, small at just...

Stayed for just 5 days in August and what a great experience I had. Firstly, Jim, Robin and Julie have created a lush garden paradise with awesome views overlooking the Somosomo strait which also happens to house some excellent scuba diving on the Rainbow Reef, thanks to Julie+the dive team. Everything about Nakia is excellent, the bungalows are really nice...

We rescheduled to Nakia after we had left the USA and our original place had too much cyclone damage. From our welcoming drink on the large deck, we knew that Jim and Robyn were a couple we could be friends with. Four beautiful bures on a cliff overlooking the water and the other islands beyond. Biggest decision of the week:...

I was lucky enough to have been working on the island for 7 weeks filming a tv show and quickly found Julie at the dive shop. From that I ended up with 19 jaw dropping dives with the best dive masters and 'dive buddies' ever and some of the best and freshest food I've had since I was a child...
