My story is really a miracle! I misplaced a very sentimental diamond bracelet as apparently it fell off in the upstairs bar area. We went back the next day to report the loss and 2 employees Tamra and John Kirk found it and it was returned to me! I can't tell you what it meant to me and how happy...

Most of the problems travelers will experience at this hotel pertain to its construction, not poor management. Our room was scrupulously clean and well maintained - no slow drains, no sand lying around, very friendly staff, good restaurants. Here's a short list of the problems ranked by degree of annoyance: 1) Parking. Not enough slots for all guests. The valet...

I go to wing night ever Tuesday in the summer and it seams the wings get better and better. There is plenty of staff and the beer is cold. A little loud on the second floor but good music. Best price in town for wongs and beer. Make sure you use the valet parking which is right at the front...

Rooms are atrocious. Damp and mildewy. The smell of the room was horrific. Our sheets when we crawled into bed were WET. Like, ring them out wet!!!! Pillows as well. I brought it to attention of front desk. They sent housekeeping to change linens. Informed we weren't the first room to complain of this today.

We have been coming here for years and this is the first time I have ever felt violated by them. We had it hidden in a very safe place, so these people took their sweet time digging through all our stuff. Management was no help either. They basically told said oh well to us. Needless to say we will never...

Our family stayed at the Windrift over the 4th of July weekend. We stayed in a 4 bedroom suite and it was well-equipped and very clean. The hotel has been renovated and looks great. The restaurant upstairs is also very good.

Come early on a Tuesday if you want a good table. Wings are good size & good value. Family friendly, great views, single pours only on cocktails, but not too light either. Live music brings it all together.

Dined at The Windrift's main restaurant on Saturday evening with friends from Avalon and had a lovely time. The menu is varied and you can eat high or low. My husband ordered his standard grilled chicken breast sandwich which came with french fries. He was pleased. I wasn't that hungry and so ordered a side Caesar salad and a Bang...

We've eaten at all restaurants at the Windrift in the past two years. In general, the ocean view is an A, food a B, and service between A and C (top level is the weak link there). Food is good though not remarkable. Wing night on Tuesdays is great, but be aware it gets very crowded early (well before 6pm),...

We stopped here for lunch after sightseeing in Avalon. The restaurant has multiple restaurants and levels. We sat in the outside bar overlooking the beach. We enjoyed the food including chicken wings and wraps. Good selection of draft beers and friendly staff made for a relaxing lunch over the beach. Prices were reasonable.
