This is the best location because it’s only 10 steps from all the best restaurants and best shopping. The rooms very clean. The room had a nice air conditioner. It had a beautiful room top patio with chairs. It was a wonderful experience and the lady speaks fluent english to direct you to the best tours. She is amazing! This is the best place to stay and the price was the best we found. I highly recommend her place. Canada

I stayed here twice as it is affordable- has WiFi and A/C and close to the ferry service It’s absolutely fine and great budget spot I know Galápagos is expensive and one spends most of their time outside so if you just need a place to sleep ... this is super .

The hostess, Leonela (?), saw us dragging our suitcases down a nearby alley and asked if we needed lodging. She offered us a terrific low per-person rate and permitted us to have our own rooms, since they were underbooked, rather than stack us all in the same room. We picked her brain for where to eat and drink (Williams seafood in the street fish market, it was excellent), and she invited us to a local discotheque where locals dance samba. We intended to join but were exhausted from the day's travels. It's no frills for lodging, but located in the heart of Santa Cruz, had functioning AC and wifi, clean and a great value. Thanks Leonela!

We stayed there for 5 days. Location is awesome, just near a nice restaurant (The Rock) and very close to the pier and all the main attractions. Room is nice, with air conditioning, hot water, TV with cable channels, and purified water tank. The best thing about this place are the owners which are super friendly and very helpful. The only downside was some noise from the street below.

We stayed in a triple room (room #3) for 2 nights after our Galapagos cruise. The room is clean and tidy, and the hostel has a fantastic location being close to the pier area and eateries. There is also drinking water available outside the rooms. Wifi speed isn't good like the rest of the Galapagos islands, but our two main gripes were more about: 1) there are no hooks in the private bathroom to hang our clothes and towel during a shower; 2) hot water wasn't stable although the water pressure is decent - it turns cold every few mins before turning very hot. The owner Leonela was very friendly, and she shared with us that she is also a guide for daily tours. Do check with her for more information if you are keen. All in all, Costa del Sol is decent accommodation for a few nights' stay!

We had a very poor experience at Costa del Sol guesthouse. On our last morning we were woken at 6am by the hostess banging on our door to demand payment - which we'd made the night before! Check out is also an absurd 9am. The room was noisy throughout the day and some of the night - the owners have a young child who was screaming outside our bedroom for several hours. The shower was awful, extremely inconsistent temperature between freezing and scalding regardless of the taps. Wi-fi was also some of the worst we had in the Galapagos (which is consistently very poor). The rooms are clean, though ours had a large volume of ants on one of the beds, and air con is a plus. The attitude of the hostess who woke us was awful throughout, she also asked many times a day if we were cancelling our stay or booking extra nights even though we were very clear when we checked in we were staying for two nights. Very bizarre. Much better and cheaper accommodation exists throughout the Galapagos, Morning Glory Hotel being a superb alternative nearby. Avoid this place.

I found this a really good place. I got a room with 2 friends while in Puerto Ayora so didn't book on Airbnb, booking.com etc, We got a much better deal because of this. I stayed in 3 places in Puerto Ayora and more on other islands and this was definitely the best. The rooms had very comfy beds, tv with cable, showers with hot water. The showers were fantastic. There was also WiFi which was the fastest I had on the Galapagos, it's not quick compared to most places but considering where you are it's more than good enough. The rooms were cleaned everyday and had very helpful staff. Everything a backpacker like myself could want was provided for.

Costa Del Soul is close to the harbor and the rooms include air conditioning and small refrigerators that are a welcome addition. Drinking water is available at no charge, important when considering the cost of bottled water on the island. It is an affordable hostal and spotless. Perhaps, the best asset is its fluently bilingual owner, Leonela Garcia. She is a marvelous source of information about the Galapagos, where to go and what to see, both known and unknown, which is a must for independent travelers. Leonela assured we had secure luggage storage while we visited Isla Isabela. was most accommodating to us and extremely helpful, also providing us with a contact for our time on Isla San Cristobal.

Im furious. I booked with costa del sol through booking.com 2 days before i was suppose to stay. Within a couple of hours costa del sol emailed me saying that booking.com had got it wrong and the price was an extra US$30 and if i wanted i could cancel. I replied saying i'd like to cancel an tried to cancel through booking.com but because it was so close to the booking date i would get charged 50%. I explained this to costa del sol and asked if they could cancel from their end. They basically said NO as it would cost THEM money and to deal directly with booking.com. I then booked other accommodation and contacted booking.com (who still hasn't replied) asking the best way to deal with the situation. From the email conversation i had with costa del sol they were aware i wanted to cancel the booking and therefore i wouldn't follow through with the booking. However...after the initial arrival date they had the balls to contact booking.com and register me as a no-show, therefore CHARGING ME for the accommodation on the initial booking that THEY WOULDN'T HONOUR! I am furious at both costa del sol and booking.com. I want my money back!!!!
