Location is perfect. Right in Puerto Ayora but the street is quiet and has delicious restaurants. The whole place was decorated so nicely, the room was clean and comfortable, AC worked very well, the shower always had hot water. Breakfast was so good, and there was always coffee available. Pedro was wonderful and made all the guests feel welcome and happy. He set up a tour to Pinzon Island for us and it was GREAT!! Very well priced and such an awesome day. We would have booked more tours with Pedro but we had all our other days planned. I would definitely not stay anywhere else and we plan on coming back for sure!

We simply loved it! This was a great finding. It’s just wonderful to be at a place so neat, and cozy that you feel at home. As locals we know the standards al Galapagos, and we highly recommend Capitan Max, the staff is great, Pedro is so into making the guests feel comfortable and also informed. Pricing is also really good in relation to other places we’ve been. Totally worth it!

Good, central location that is walking distance to everything you want to see in Puerto Ayora. Rooms were big, safe, and clean and had air-conditioning. Shower was a good size and always had hot water. The owners were very nice and helpful. A couple of travel sites mentioned that the B&B has self-service laundry, which turned out not to be the case. There are at least 3 lavanderías within walking distance, so we ended up taking our laundry to one of those and it worked out fine.

I Just finished 3 days here and I’m telling you if you are looking at the reviews and searching for a place to stay this is the best choice in Pouerto Ayora! ! The rooms are great the location is the best!! and everything else is amazing !! but the most important thing is you have Pedro and Max always there for you at the reception they will book you the best tours and guide you what to do and what not to in the island . There is a lot of competition from the traveling agencies around town but they will send you to the best tours because they care about the people staying at their place. First time I’m writing a Review but I had to they deserve it :)

Captain Max is immaculately kept, the bed was comfortable (with 2 USB ports and a reading light next to each side), the shower was perfect with plenty of hot water, and the AC amazingly quiet. The breakfast was good too. But the real positive about Captain Max was the personal service from the Captain and his brother. They took care of every need, like first-rate concierges. Also, right next door is a local restaurant with good local food at great prices, frequented by residents as well as visitors.

This clean and well-run bed and breakfast must be one of the best bargains in the Galapagos. We are a family of four who occupied two rooms (numbers 1 and 3) and it was just perfect for us. Max and his employees could not be nicer and more accommodating. We had a beautiful king-size bed that was very comfortable. Our kids had a king and a single bed and their room and we both had nice hammocks! The rooms have a nice nautical theme. The coffee and breakfast are really good and the location is just perfect. It's a 3 minute walk from the pier, and a half a block from the town's main drag. Our showers were nice and hot and the wifi worked too. Highly recommended.

We rented 4 rooms for 8 people. We all liked it a lot. All rooms are clean and comfortable. it feels like you are at home. The owner is very nice. We had a late flight schedule. The owner allowed us to stay until we ready to leave. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom. The bathrooms are clean and reasonable sizes. I would go back to this place and strongly recommend to our friends.

We stayed here twice during our trip to Galapagos, before and after going to Isabela island. Captain Max is a nice, family run b&b with a cosy atmosphere. Ideally located in the heart of Puerto Ayora close to all the action yet quiet at the same time. Highly recommended.

Having stayed here before we said we would return and so we did. Captain Max is an excellent host, keen to ensure all his guests get the most of their visit to the island. The accommodation is centrally located so all you need is within a short walk. The rooms are lovingly arrange around a nautical theme with comfortable beds and air conditioning and come complete with a hammock if that 'rocks your boat'. Breakfast is served in the communal lounge / dining area where staff are on hand to ensure a good start to the day. Just an all round great place to stay and we are looking forward to our next visit.
