We spent almost a week at the hotel and every day it was very pleaseant to wake up. The staff is so kind and helpful, specially Kerly and Dixie. Breakfast is simple but delicious, rooms are very clean, air conditioning was awesome (very important for me because there was very hot outside). Very honest staff (we left laptops, cameras, also cash on our room and nobody touch our personal stuff). Is not the most close to the port but a taxi will take you in and out from the hotel for $5 and it will take between 10 and 15 minutes to get to the port/center of puerto ayora. Totally recommend the hotel. I hope i can go back soon.

Our family stayed in 2 rooms for 4 nights. The accommodation and setting is absolutely gorgeous, even took our breath away when we first arrived. Truly a haven in the jungle, away from the busy Puerto Ayora. It is located a $7 taxi ride each way from town (about 15mins). They do provide a free taxi ride in and out of town each day...but, it’s tricky because generally you head in for an excursion, and by 4pm are knackered and ready to head back. But, there are literally NO facilities out there, so nowhere for dinner (hotel restaurant was closed, they said for reno’s, but nothing going on... I suspect more likely as it’s quiet, only us and another couple staying). The kids were too tired to head back into town at night, so we ended up having bread rolls for dinner most nights. At this time of year (August), it is cooler and non-stop raining where the hotel is located (in the highlands), too cold to swim, so we didn’t make use of the pool. Hot water was unreliable, fluctuates between hot and cold. Friendly staff.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 9 days at this beautiful lodge on Santa Cruz Island in the Galapagos. It is a quiet lodge located in the highlands of Santa Cruz, out of the busy and touristy town of Puerto Ayora. With a pool, semi detached rooms and beautiful grounds filled with lush plants this is the perfect place both for families with kids and a romantic retreat for couples. It was so amazing to go to sleep to the sound of geckos outside rather than the noise of traffic so commonly experienced in accommodation located in town. The lodge provides a return trip to town daily by taxi for its guests (15 min by car) but there is also plenty to do in the highlands, like visiting the lava tunnels, craters and turtle sanctuary. The staff all work very hard keeping the gardens well maintained and the rooms spotless. The owners are the nicest people and make it seem like nothing is a trouble.

This hotel is comfortable, you have internet (not so good), hot water, pool, cable, good installation. Food was ok. But you are far away from the main town at least 20 minutes on bus or taxi. You can't walk around and find a small grocery, because this hotel is located around 1 o 2 km from the main road in the middle of nowhere. The restaurant of the hotel is not open all the time. They have some beverages (beer, gatorade, water, lollypops) , but personnel is not always available, especially at night and the products are so expensive.Personnel are not spending the night there, then you are by yourself after 7-8 pm. Cleanness of the kitchen is not so good based on what I saw from the dinner table. Personnel of Tour operators associated to this hotel were terrible: Rude, impolite to say the less. They can't handle suggestions or petitions from clients.

Responded 25 Sep 2018
Dear guest, Thank you for take your time to write us a review. We are glad that you liked our hotel and its facilities. The main goal of our establishment is to provide a rest of quality and relaxation, for this reason we are located in an area surrounded by nature away from the noisy center of the town. I would to let you know that we have a new administration so we made some important improvements. Now we have a wide variety of snacks, drinks, candies, alcoholic beverages and much more for sale to our dear guests. We have free transportation between the hotel and Puerto Ayora. We have strict quality controls for cleaning our areas. We regret the inconvenience with the associated operator's staff, now we have partnered with operators that are characterized by providing the best quality service, however we will always be attentive to our guest's needs. We hope you can visit us again to verify all the improvements that we made. Kind regards Luis Rosero General Manager Piedras Blancas Lodge
