What can I say, no complaints at all.. Friendly staff and wonderful views all around. We got "lucky" and had the room with our window right by the deck where the sea lions sleep lol. Overall it was a great experience and wonderful stay.

We elected to spend our vacation in the Galapagos Island based on land versus the more commonly method of a ship. We were very happy and glad we chose this option. The Red Mangrove lodge in Puerto Ayora was terrific. We were able to do take tours both in the water, snorkel, kayak, volcano, giant tortoises, etc... The lodge is...

We booked their "In Darwin's Footprints" package and couldn't be happier with the choice. The guides they arranged for us at various points were excellent - knowledgeable, helpful and patient with our constant interests and questions. Staying at the Aventura Lodge was a total treat - especially seeing the lazing sea lions, sunning marine iguanas, diving blue-footed boobies and stalking...

The setting: You are 30 minutes from the Baltra (GPS) airport, at the far end of Charles Darwin Avenue. This means a 5-10 minute walk down the avenue to the restaurants, shops and main pier. The hotel staff is friendly and accommodating and the reservation staff communicates with a slight delay by email, when booking and when having a pressing...

Good location behind the mangroves as advertised. I stayed in two rooms at two different times. Both were large and very nice- one had a great view up top and a deck and lanai. I was comfortable in both and pleasantly surprised in a positive way- staff were friendly and accommodating. food was very good at all three meals- nice...

I am a fair reviewer, and I understand the rural nature of the Galapagos, however there are certain expectations of a provider of accomodation that should be universal, principally providing actual accomodation when you've booked it, and not kicking you out in the middle of the night due to their administrative errors! After asking to extend our stay (for convenience,...

Our "all-inclusive" trip itinerary said the rate includes "Excursions with a Freelance English speaking Naturalist guide, provided by the Galapagos National Park." Unfortunately, four of our five outings over four days did not include such a guide. When we expressed our concern after the second outing, we were assigned a different, more experienced, hotel employee guide -- which was a...

This hotel is conveniently located and within walking distance of the pier and a lot of shops and restaurants on the island. There's a lot of wildlife around and we even got chased by a seal at the restaurant. I chose this over finch bay because I didn't want to be tied to a water taxi every time we wanted...
