My husband and I and our four teenage boys stayed here for 3 nights after our cruise. It was ideal for us. We had two rooms which gave us lots of space. The air con worked great and it was an easy walk into town or the Charles Darwin Research Station. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and the included breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend.

Got this place through my tour company based in Quito. First, this may be the worst location in Puerto Ayora-it is a 15-20 min walk down to the harbor though only 5-10 to Darwin Station. It overlooks a neighborhood park with a basketball court. Far from idyllic. The room is fine but the bad takeaway is that my room, which is literally about 1-2 meters from the AP (wifi access point) just outside in the hallway yet the connectivity was only weak on my Chromebook based on the standard scale of weak, medium and strong. I only get 20 mbps here in the US with Centurylink and pages come up right away and I can download a 100 mb album in less than a minute. Naturally, their excuse was that wifi was "bad" in the Galapagos but considering that almost EVERYONE on the 3 main islands live with a few square miles of the town, this makes no sense. In fact, wifi should be super strong. And they might be better served for the included breakfast service by setting up a buffet instead of the table service. First, they make eggs but you must “request” meat-which means that beyond horrible “jamon” that is de riquer in South America and resembles nothing like the amazing “jamon” your get in Spain-how did this go awry over the centuries??? Thus, if you are looking for additional walking exercise, stay here. Otherwise, look for a closer place to the harbor for transport, excursion and food, etc.

The service was excellent at the hotel. The rooms and facilities are basic, but one of the advantages is that it has a pool onsite for those hot afternoons. A short walk to the downtown area, about 10 minutes.

The hotel is clean and the room is comfortable and large. The staff was particularly helpful and respectful. I could not give this hotels 5 stars because the Wi-Fi is very slow but then again all internet is inadequate in the Galapagos. It is located on the far end of the Town not at all Central. There was construction with heavy machinery going on right next door and it could be heard all day long. If you need silence you need to confirm that the heavy machinery work has been completed before booking. Nevertheless I gave the hotel 4 out of 5 stars because it was comfortable clean and friendly and not too expensive.

I stayed here alone for two nights because my 6D local tour picked this for me. This is the best hotel I stayed in Galapagos. I like this hotel once checked in. Clean with many colourful and decent decors. My room is so spacious and clean. TV has many channels and I like watching. The air conditioner works well. Bed comfy with hair dryer. But safe deposit box inside the wardrobe is totally a joke as the box is not fixed firm to the wardrobe but a thief (if there's) could simply get the valuables together with the whole deposit box!! Location not bad. It's in a quiet area but 5-7 mins walk will reach the main street Av Charles Darwin. I took taxi for USD1.5 standard fee to the hotel after dinner near the pier. Staff nice but not all understand English. Breakfast basic. Don't expect much in Ecuador generally.

Welll situated a block from the main avenue this is a nice hotel, we stayed here twice during our trip and both rooms were good. Lovely swimming pool only sorry we didn't have time to use it. Safe in room. Tea/coffee available 24/7 from reception - no charge - but you have to carry up to your room. - Downside no lift! Helpful on reception and good English spoken throughout. We had an early departure on day and they insisted on making us a lovely toasted sandwich to eat despite it being pre breakfast time. All in all a good stay would recommend.

Positives- AC. They beds were comfortable and made every day. New clean towels daily. The breakfast was average but quickly delivered with courteous staff members. Who ever was working the front desk was always friendly and amiable and willing to help with minor inconveniences. Negatives that can NOT BE OVERLOOKED- Going through a guest luggage and taking out their Nintendo switch and playing on their game, messing with the save files without even asking and in the invasion of privacy simply unprofessional. on a more inconvenient note their showers are super finicky if you turn on the hot water more than a quarter turn you will scold yourself. Also not being able to flush toilet paper down the drain after taking a dump. I would have given this place a 3.5/5 but because they searched through my stuff and talked behind my back in Spanish calling me and my travel buddies "cerdo perezoso"(Lazy Pig) thinking that we were Ignorant Americans. I have come to a conclusion of Poor because of several unprofessional habits.

We stayed at Hotel Deja Vu during our stay on Santa Cruz while on vacation in the Galapagos! The hotel was recommend by our tour operator and we are happy we made the choice to stay at Hotel Deja Vu. The hotel is a little bit further removed from downtown but the walk still takes only 10 minutes or so. The hotel rooms are very comfortable and the rooms higher up have great views. The staff are awesome! They are so kind and willing to do anything to make your stay more comfortable! At one point we had some water leaking from our air conditioner and we were quickly moved to a different room. Additionally, at one point one of the staff members went above and beyond to get us aloe to help deal with a sunburn. That extra touch was so kind! We weren't expecting this but the hotel offers a daily breakfast and it is so great and really nice. The breakfast includes fresh fruit, fresh eggs cooked to order, a meat and grain -- every day is different and it so good! I recommend this hotel!

Cool hotel, and I'll say right away that the front desk staff are first rate. And you can buy a beer from the lobby fridge for 2 bucks. The hotel's got a great location, within walking distance of churches, the market, downtown and the Almar Bar and Grill (see my review). The room we had on our second stay, Room 8, was adequate, with TV and hot water and a very comfortable bed. But NOTE THIS: we stayed our first night in Room 2, and it was poxy. Our tour mates found Room 1 the same. Both of us found mold and other decrepit conditions in those rooms, so don't accept them. Otherwise, okay place to stay. And did I mention the front desk? Great people to talk with.
