Lovely hotel good situation and great staff. The atmosphere was genuine and everybody was friendly and willing to help. You could step out of the hotel to enjoy shops or the antics of the animals in the market. Great place

Nice surroundings. Small room but that is ok. I Think the personell in the restaurant tries to do their best but the restaurant has a Big problem. They have two nice menys but since they miss raw material (they have no meat just fish and chicken) the food gets very dull quick. The winelist is also good but in the...

Dear aniode, Thank you very much for your review. Our restaurant has two menus, one traditional with many local and international specialties which range from seafood (octopus, shrimp, calamari and at east 2 kinds of locally and sustainable caught fish) to different chicken and vegetarian dishes. Unfortunately the last two weeks of April we had a beef shortage, something that...

Silberstein is a family-run hotel situated in the center of pto ayora. Nice cozy rooms, a beautiful garden and pool and good german and internatinal breakfast. The restaurant is also probably the best place for excellent dining and not that expensive compared to the other restaurants. Galextur agency which also belongs to the family allows them to organize all kind...

I understand that it is in Galapagos Island and it's meant to be low key from a development perspective, but basic amenities and cleanliness are lacking. Cost of beer is AT LEAST 50% more expensive then the bars or restaurants down the road.

Dear chowb2016, Thank you for your review. I have to admit we are a little surprised about it. Our team keeps the property clean and tidy and makes sure everything looks very nice for our guests. Our basic amenities include individual a/c in the rooms, as well as ceiling vents so you can chose your preference. Each room has it's...

This hotel was beautiful and very well kept. The pool and garden area were lovely and welcoming. The location is perfect and within walking distance of everything in Peurto Ayora. The restaurant was a great place for lunch and relaxing. After a mix up with our reservation at a different hotel, Hotel Silberstein welcomed us and had rooms immediately available....

The hotel provided clean basic rooms in a garden/poolside setting that was very restful. The pool provided some welcome respite from the heat and humidity. Situated fairly centrally it was a reasonably easy walk to the Charles Darwin Research Centre or to shops and restaurants.

Great hotel. We spent a night across the street at the Red Mangrove, which was terrible. The staff is great, the facility is beautiful, the food excellent, pool is nice and the location is very good. We ordered lobster and cod, which were not on the menu, so they went to the fish market. Both meals were fabulous. We will...

Good location, nice stay before cruising the galopogos islands. Can walk to shops and restaurants, very safe area and nice people. Go on the two-mile brick paved walkway to the local beach, pretty amazing , also check out the fish cleaning area Down by the waterfront. Many interesting stores to shop and restaurants to dine in .

The hotel is right in the middle of town so it is easy to get out and about. The rooms are very small with very small beds. The bathroom would be problematic for large people as the room is tiny. The small pool in the middle courtyard was lovely as the days are very hot and humid - especially in...

Remember that you are in a THIRD WORLD COUNTRY when you visit the Galapegos. Bugs, less than perfect lighting, sloooow WiFi. Don't leave home if this stuff bugs you! The staff was friendly, the location was very good and the breakfast was tasty. Our room (#19) was certainly large enough for 2. The AC dripped in the room...we put down...
