I saw in the review that this hotel was budget, but it felt like luxury. Amazing price for what you get. It was my 60-something year old parents and my boyfriend and I, who are in our 30’s. Coming from Isabella Island, we arrived 3 hours early for check-in, yet the family who runs the hotel accommodated us immediately and let us check-in early. The breakfast was included for us and was delicious- coffee and tea and then they bring out fresh juice, fresh fruit, and toast. Then, plantains and cheese slices, and then eggs however you want them <3 delicious! Located within walking distance of the main strip and about half mile to Darwin center. 2 minute walk to pier. The front desk is open most of day and family lives here (I think) so always available and friendly if need anything. The main guy/ dad speaks great English and everyone seemed to understand. Beds comfy. Great water pressure and temp in shower. Had refrigerator and safe (that works) in room. Felt very safe and at home. Multiple water drinkable dispensers. 5 stars+++

Spent nine nights there - convenient to everything. I wanted to be immersed in the town and this location gave me access to everything. My room was the cleanest I've ever been in anywhere...breakfast was perfect. The staff could not have been friendlier to me. If there was a "down-side", only that the Wifi was come-and-go, but that was expected...and I didn't miss it. Thank you so much, Brigida, and your wonderful family and staff!!!!

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Also very quiet which was nice. The reason for 3 stars is the hot water in the shower was intermittent during times when the hot tub was being filled. The towels were actually hand towels and the soap they provided was very small. Breakfast was very basic but pleasant.

Located right in the middle of the city center. By Galapagos standards, this is a good choice considering the location, price, service and amenities. However, the hot tub wasn't in service during my stay and the bed was squeaky. Breakfast was basic and ok. Service was excellent and staff were attentive and helpful. I would stay here again.

The hotel is clean, convenient location to the harbor and friendly staff. The rooms was. comfortable but on the smaller size. There’s no courtyard so the view is of other rooftops. It is a short walk to downtown but at night the noise can be heard. They provided a delicious breakfast included in our package.

From all the hotels we stayed in the different Islands, this was the most convenient in terms of location, cleanliness, maintenance and services. Even their wi-fi was the best. Service was acceptable, with a couple of persons really caring about our experience. Those made the difference.

The hotel picks you up and drops you off to the airport for a very reasonable fee. If this is your first time visiting Galápagos you must know that all flights arrive in a small island in the middle of nowhere. From the airport you need transportation to the pier where the ferry will take you to the main and most populated island of Santa Cruz where you will need additional transportation to cross the wilderness into the town ...all together thats a good 50-60min trip. You will need a dollar for the ferry because that’s not covered by hotels picking you up. The flamingo hotel sends his driver to meet you at the airport. The hotel’s car is at the pier of the main island so the driver rides with you on the airport bus, the first ferry and then you get in the hotel’s car which is waiting at the main island when you get off the ferry. From there there he takes you to the door of the hotel. The hotel is almost new. The rooms have beautiful bathrooms, comfortable beds, cable tv, air conditioner, closet , nightstand and desk table. Their breakfast has options to pick from and is included too. (Cereal, yogurt, fruit salad, toast, cheese, ham, toast, marmalade, butter, juice, scrambled eggs etc.). They have a Jacuzzi too. The hotel is steps from the pier and stores, restaurants, main attractions, etc. The hotel has drinking water on the hallway which is amazing due to the hot weather and they also have tea and coffee. They also offer laundry service for an affordable price so you can drop your clothes in the morning and they will be ready in the afternoon when you return. Super clean hotel. The view is nice from the terrace where you can sunbathe too or use the he jacuzzi. Loved it.

Nice hotel, helpful staff with a warm welcome. Suitcases carried up and down from our first floor rooms by staff. Located close to the harbour and main restaurant areas. Clean, modern and well presented. Small ship style bar in the main lobby. Unfortunately we were unable to sample breakfast, since the hotel was unable to arrange early sitting to correspond with our morning sailing to another island and consequential need to check out at 6.15am.

The original hotel we had booked was under construction so we cancelled and ended up at this hotel. The flamingo Hotel is in a nice location. It was perfect to come and go on the town. Close to the main street, restaurants, shops and dock. The hotel was clean and the staff was great. There was not many amenities to the hotel, but basic and clean was fair. Our complaint would be the noise. Every time another guest came or left their unit, you could hear the locks being turned and doors opening and shutting clear as day. Most times we kept looking at our door thinking someone was trying to get in. As well as we were right below the kitchen. If you get a room below the kitchen we highly recommend moving rooms. At 6:30 am they start getting breakfast ready and the blenders are going for quite some time making juice. I also believe that there must be an office behind the kitchen as we heard lots of talking right outside our window. We got the feeling that a family was running the hotel and everyone that we encountered was kind. Other than the noise of the hotel, I can't say much else. The wifi was so hit or miss, but we found it to be so anywhere on the island. I would recommend this hotel for the staff and location. Maybe a little overpriced though.

Hotel is in a good location - off the main drag but easily walkable to everything. Room was clean and fine for this type of caliber establishment. Breakfast was good and roof top terrace is great - it has a hot tub however they turn it off at 5pm. Not a smart decision as guests like myself are out the entire day and return in the evening. It would have been great to use the hot tub when the sun goes down. Major complaint was on my second night at exactly 2am the power went out - which meant no AC. I waited for it to come back but it didn’t- when i went down to speak to someone, no one was there and the front door was actually locked. Needless to say I survived the no AC night however it was VERY uncomfortable. Power came back at exactly 6am... makes me wonder if it was a planned shut down. Also, when i arrived the windows in the bathroom and bedroom were left open by the staff. I didn’t notice until later in the day and quickly shut them. A few bugs did get in because of this oversight by the hotel but luckily nothing too crazy. The hotel experience overall is fine for a few nights in paradise . You don’t come to the Galapagos for the hotel anyways. Enjoy the spectacular islands.
