Staying 4 nights in this good located hotel, we have a great time in Galápagos Islands. It is close to shops , restaurants and the wharf. The room is neat and tidy. The staffs are very friendly and helpful too. The tea, coffee and water station on each floor is really a bonus. At the back of the hotel is... More

This hotel is located in Puerto Ayora, on the island of Santa Cruz. The Galápagos Islands are a wonderful place and the hotel a good point to stay and to start your explorations. One reason for criticism though: giving that most excursions start at 7 a.m., breakfast should begin at 6, not at 6.30 as is currently the case.

We stayed for 7 nights at the hostel area at the back and we mostly enjoyed our stay. Pros: - STAFF: really really nice and helpful - location is perfect: 2 min to main street; 4 to the pier - price is very good for the location, 28 $ double room - breakfast was alright and a lot (for additional... Are you thinking of staying here? Think again! Do not waste your hard earned money on this dump. I agree with all the other negative reviews written below. We had the most horrible and unpleasant experience at this run down and creepy hotel. The staff are the worst people we have ever come across in the hospitality field. They do... More

I am shocked at some previous reviews, we visited in May 2015 and had a great experience, the staff were excellent and could not be more helpful. remember this is a third world country not London's park lane. we had a ground floor room which was really nice, the breakfast was good too. I would return the location is perfect

I stayed 3 nights in the hostel part of this hotel. It definitely needs some maintenance. Its run down, really small and my room didn't come with an airco what made it a bit hard to sleep. The toilet was broken, no hot water. The hotel looks really nice but it comes with a difference price tag. Breakfast was good... More

We (couple, 41 & 50) stayed at Hotel/Hostel Flamingo for one night in May 2014. We paid $38 for a room with air-conditioning in the older "hostel" section. The room was small and run down but clean. The door was glass with a curtain to draw across. The bathroom was small, too. The hotel/hostel is five minutes walking from the... More

Pretty good room for the price we negotiated a good one. Safe did not work so had to hide are valuables. The bathroom we had was poorly designed. Room was clean, bed was pretty soft. You dont stay in the room much here because you are here to see the islands. Free breakfast on the roof, good food. I would... More

Great hotel with cheaper rooms out the back, $28 a night for two of us in twin room with fan and our own bathroom. Basic but perfect for us. We stayed here for 4 nights over 2 weeks, staff were fantastic!

Flamingo Hotel provided us with a great economical room, that was the same price as a private room in a hostel. The service was fantastic, and the room was spacious and cleaning daily. We also had hot water, and it was only two blocks back from the waterfront. The only issue was the noise. I think there are permanent residents... More
