We were at La Peregrina for 3 nights and it was such a wonderful place to stay! Our unit was clean and comfortable with a tiled deck in one of their small buildings surrounded by gardens of native trees, plants and flowers. Breakfast each day was freshly made and delicious. But the warmth of the staff is what really stands out. My suitcase had been misplaced by the airline so we arrived with just my husband’s belongings. The manager Ingela immediately helped us with phone calls, and then loaned me some clothes! She directed us to places to pick up clothes and toiletries, and helped arrange some short tours while we waited. Every time we came through the lobby Ingela or Jazmin gave us an update, and they were was excited as we were when the suitcase was found just before we left on our cruise. The entire staff exemplified the spirit of Ecuador and the Galapagos. La Peregrina is in a great location, right in the midst of shops and restaurants, yet tranquil and peaceful. Highly recommended!…
If you want a relaxing, convenient, and comfortable stay in Puerto Ayora with attentive and friendly staff look no further. Ingela is particularly excellent; hard working and guest-oriented. This B&B is close to the center of town, so within walking distance of a wide variety of restaurants and shops, as well as the Galápagos National Park offices and Charles Darwin Research Station. The restaurant serves fresh and satisfying breakfasts. I was served fruit juice, oatmeal, an egg and bread. The filtered water in the lobby is handy for filling water bottles for your day's adventures. I've been traveling to the Archipelago since 1990 and this establishment has been there since then, so they are in it for the long-haul. The rooms are clean, comfortable and cozy. Yes, we all know what cozy means, so if you're looking for spacious luxury this isn't for you. I will be back next year and look forward to another excellent stay at La Peregrina.…
The hostel was very clean and the surroundings were very beautiful with the trees and plants. It was located close to everything like restaurants and activity centers. The service was impeccable and the owners took the time to talk to us and get to know us. The rooms were very clean and comfortable.
Awesome hospitality and customer service. The hostess was very communicative and helpful, offering many Tips and advice. Their family are descendants of one is the original families, the angermeyers, to inhabit the Galapagos and she has lots of interesting stories. The rooms are simple but clean and with AC. Could be improved by having a mini fridge. The host is flexible with breakfast, which was a standard American breakfast. The common space has some hammocks. Excellent location right across from the brewery, harbor and fish market!!
This place is lovely! The manager emailed us a few weeks before our trip and helped us plan our stay. She recommended excellent restaurants and places to visit. The check-in process was smooth. Location is perfect! Walking distance to all of the local shops and restaurant and the main dock where we boarded our 5-day cruise. Breakfast was made to order and delicious. Filtered water available at no charge. The owner even offered to do laundry for me using her own washer and dryer for a very reasonable fee. Wifi is slow, but that is across Galapagos and is to be expected. Highly recommended this cute local business!
Great location, nicely maintained property; a green oasis just across from fish market. Livia is a fantastic host and very accommodating. When I return, I will absolutely stay here. Rooms are large, clean, nice beds, etc. Don’t think twice. Stay here!
This small b&b is on the main street through Puerto Ayora. The rooms are large, and the bed was comfortable. There was a lot of street noise, but it stopped early enough for a good night's sleep. There is free wifi in a common area but not in the rooms. The staff was accommodating, and the breakfast in the morning was good. They even cooked eggs for us. The price is very reasonable.
We were here several nights and had tours. we had trouble with spanish and our tours not picking us up. the manage was soooo helpful. she called around for us until she found the right people to come get us. Breakfast was great! hammocks were a great place to spend a rainy morning.
Stayed here for a couple of nights while I was doing day trips in Santa Cruz. This is basic accommodation as what you pay for. Hotels in Galapagos are expensive. It is very clean and centrally located. You can hear the sea lions from the balcony. Management is friendly and efficient. Breakfast is basic, good and prompt.
B & B La Peregrina is a charming place to stay whether you’re just passing through or spending more time in Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island in the Galapagos. It’s walking distance to everything from the docks to the Darwin Center but still quiet. The bungalows are spread around green and tranquil gardens Breakfast is provided and the cook was willing to throw some bread and fruit in a bag for us when we needed to catch an early boat. Nothing is inexpensive in the Galapagos, but La Peregrina is a good value compared to the cheaper places on the periphery or the luxury hotels on the water.
