Lush green garden grounds surround each private room, where a wooden balcony offers access to the fresh ocean breeze and the visits from resident Galapagos finches, yellow warblers and the occasional yellow-crowned night heron. Included in the price are a hearty breakfast and purified drinking water, as well as much-needed amenities like AC, WiFi and showers with both hot and cold water, as well as information about tours. Laundry service, taxis, airport shuttles, and books are also available upon request (for a fee). La Peregrina Galapagos B&B is located on Charles Darwin Avenue, the main tourist area of Puerto Ayora. Cross the street to see pelicans and sea lions begging for a bite at the famous Fisherman’s Dock while marine iguanas lazily sunbathe, hear the waves gently lapping against the mangroves, and, if you're up early, enjoy an inspiring view of the sun rising over Pelican Bay. Souvenir shops, art galleries and restaurants can be found both left and right, and you will only be a 5-10 minute walk away from the starting point of attractions like the Tortoise Breeding center, the Ceramic Garden, the aforementioned Fisherman’s Dock, the Artisan Dock, Nymph Lagoon, the walk to Tortuga Bay, and the main pier from where the day tours start.
