There are many places to stay in Puerto Ayora, but I'm sure none have paid such attention to detail as Galapagos Suites. Our room and the entire property was immaculately clean and well maintained. The customer service was fantastic, from our arrival until our departure. Josy was efficient and prepared a hot breakfast for us each morning, which included a tasty local treat.
I stayed in Galapagos Suites for a week-long vacation in the Islands and absolutely loved it. Joseline, the woman who runs the hotel, is friendly, attentive, very knowledgeable about the area and an overall superb host. She serves a nice, tasty breakfast every morning, helped arrange three day trips for me around the islands (I didn't have them planned before I arrived), takes every precaution for COVID and keeps the whole hotel clean as can be. She even helped me get a COVID test after the U.S. government changed that requirement during my trip so I needed a negative test within three days to fly home; Joseline called a doctor and had her swing by, took all of 10-15 minutes. If your Spanish is good, she'll talk to you that way, and if your Spanish is not-so-good (like me), she can communicate just as well in English. Really enjoyed being here the whole week and would be delighted to come back again sometime. Great value for the price. Two thumbs up!…
This small family run establishment has a great location, just a 5 minute walk from the harbor. The crisp, clean hotel is behind a wall with a small, pretty courtyard garden in front where breakfast is served. We stayed here the night before a 7 day diving liveaboard trip. The ground floor king room with wheel chair access was great for rolling in our dive bags. The room faced the garden yet was a bit to the side with plenty of privacy. The high-ceilinged room had the usual amenities - a safe, reasonable storage, hair dryer, adequate outlets for charging, but no coffee and tea service. We were, however, able to get coffee at the breakfast buffet. The Wi-Fi connection was very slow but the owner warned of this and said it was typical for Puerto Ayora. Although there was a bit of noise during the day, the room was quiet at night. Note that checkout is at 9a.m. Our pickup wasn’t until 11:30 and they let us use the room until 10. Breakfast, served 6:30 to 8, is adequate. A small buffet with one kind of yogurt, granola, toast and way too sweet banana bread. Fresh juice and a small fruit plate followed by a second small dish - a rather bland plantain tortilla served with a slice of Velveeta cheese was served to our table.…
I stayed here for two nights in May. I gasped the moment I walked inside the front gate because of how lovely the courtyard was. Then when I saw my room, I was again amazed it was so spacious and pretty. Among the other things I liked about this place: the comfortable bed, the nice balcony with a hammock, the attentive and kind host Joseline, the delicious breakfast, and the location, which was only a few minutes walk to everything.
What a wonderful but short stay we had at your hotel. We had such fun and the room was so clean and comfortable with a bed for each of us. The bathroom was small but adequate with amenities. We very much appreciated how you cleaned and straightened up the room while we were out. Your breakfasts were very special, delicious with such variety and some Ecuadorian foods. We very much appreciated your hospitality! Thank you for a wonderful stay! Our best to you,
We stayed one week at Hotel Galapagos Suites and it was perfect! Great location, only a couple of blocks from town. Quiet and peaceful and spotlessly clean. The owner, Josie, was so nice and helpful. Also the included breakfast is delicious and varied. Josie is a great cook and wonderful host. We will always stay here; it was perfect in every way. Don't look any further, this is the place to stay!
We had a great experience staying at this small boutique hotel. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel is in a good location for the town and the owners - Joseline and her daughter were very welcoming. In fact all the staff were very helpful and friendly. We would have no hesitation in recommending to anyone we come across that may be considering visiting the Galapagos Islands. Joseline also arranged a taxi to the tortoise farm for us. Going early was a great tip as we arrived before the crowds and had our own personal guide. It made the experience even better.
I spent my first 3 nights on the islands @ Hotel Galapagos Suites. I was traveling alone, for the first time. Both Joseline R., and Joseline C. made me feel so welcome and comfortable. My suite was immaculate, as were the grounds. The daily breakfast was delicious, and I felt it was made with love, so nurturing. These two really know how to make their guests feel at home. Both gals helped me with directions, transportation, dining recommendations...I felt well cared for. I highly recommend this site when visiting Santa Cruz. I already want to return!
We loved this place from A to Z! Really everything was way more than just normal! All details you might think of were thought of. Wherever we looked within our room, the terrace, the patio, the stairs, the plants and all other details - all was very well taken care of and nothing has been left to a coincidence! The owner was very sweet, friendly, interested in both, customers and the facility - especially the last one is often not the case. They way the entire hotel area is built shows lots of love, passion and commitment. You definitely are not(!) in a place where they just wanna make money with you and that‘s it. Every single day started with a smile, a lovely holá by the owner and the staff - and besides this: The place is in a non crowded and quiet area, an app. 12 minutes walk away from the boats arrive.…
I spent 2 months in the Galapagos on sabbatical in 2021, and stayed with Joseline the entire time. I cannot understate how wonderful of an experience this was, and cannot wait to come back. The rooms were always very clean, the view from the third floor rooms is great. It's also centrally located and pretty easy to walk anywhere in town. It's a block from Santa Cruz Brewery which is great! Joseline is super accommodating with breakfast, advice for things to do on the island, calling cabs, whatever you need. She genuinely cares about your time in the Galapagos. If you are looking for a nice, local hotel, this is the place to be.
