Our family (2 adults plus kids ages 11 and 8) spent 5 nights at the Angermeyer. Through our tour agency (Ecoluxury Group), we booked two rooms that were connected by a balcony giving a setup more like a suite that was perfect for providing space and privacy. The hotel's website is a bit sparse in terms of information, but do not be concerned. We found the location beautiful, the rooms comfortable, and the staff super helpful and friendly. We built great relationships with several staff during our stay, and they were highly attentive in ensuring we had meals and transportation at the right times to enable connecting to our daily scheduled tours. We loved the hotel location. It's located about a 2 minute water taxi ride from the main port (80 US cents per person per ride). The location provides the beauty and serenity of being waterfront with a bit less activity and noise than the main port. Our kids also greatly enjoyed swimming in the waters right out front of the hotel in an area separated from the main boat traffic by a rope connected to the dock. The food was also excellent (great flavors, large portions), and my wife (who is gluten free) had plenty of good options. Our itinerary had us away from the hotel for most of the day (3 boat trips and one day shopping / touring sites in the main port) but the hotel was a perfect morning / evening base and a great spot for some afternoon fun in the water.

This is a charming well-maintained hotel in Paradise. Each room is unique and comes with a mini-fridge and a very comfortable bed. The staff keeps the place spotless clean. Eno acted as a friendly helpful guide to aid with restaurant recommendations, how to navigate the water taxi system and other issues every visitor faces. Daniel was our restaurant server for several meals and he was terrific. Our large room was on the second floor and we had a gorgeous balcony overlooking the bay. I’m very happy we picked this place to stay in our very memorable visit to the Galapagos Islands.

We are so glad we stayed at the Angermeyer Water front Inn for several reasons. Crossing the bay from Puerto Ayora to the Inn was a 5 minute ride, $1 per person and an exciting way to travel to and from the town. We stayed in a superior room with balcony overlooking the bay and enjoyed watching all the activity. The room was very comfortable and all the staff were friendly and helpful. On the hotel property is the Isla Grill Restaurant where we ate a delicious breakfast each morning and enjoyed cocktails and dinner in the evenings.

Our stay at Angermeyer Waterfront Inn has been one of my all-time favorite vacation stays! It was magical, relaxing, beautifully set, and with a staff that was attentive to every detail. Our room was beautiful and with a view, and very comfortable. The staff was friendly, attentive and grew to be friends over our stay. They went above and beyond to help us secure water taxis, coordinate with our tour companies and (most importantly for me) were very thoughtful and attentive to my dietary restrictions.
This is a uniquely situated hotel experience as well- it’s a nice separated space from the main street and bustle of Puerto Ayora, and walking distance from local beaches and overall a quieter and comfortable experience.
I highly recommend staying here- this is a beautiful way to experience the Galápagos Islands. Don’t miss out!!

for the price it's sh*t, red mangrove is better. customer support just ignores you and your 400+ a night room is full of bugs. no care about the guest at all -- I can't even get an invoice post 3 months of me staying there. They only care whn you're there paying.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Angermeyer Waterfront Inn! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They were always accommodating, even allowing us a late checkout, which really added to the ease of our stay.
The complimentary breakfast was excellent, offering a delicious start to each day with plenty of variety. The inn’s location was perfect, providing easy access to everything we wanted to explore in the Galapagos.

This upscale boutique hotel has an ideal location - on the bay a five- minute water taxi ride from the hustle and bustle of central Puerto Ayora. Service was attentive and friendly throughout our three-day stay, and the property is beautifully maintained. The restaurant attached to the hotel is quite good, but the desk can direct you to many other good choices in the town. There’s ready access to lots of water activities and wildlife viewing opportunities.

This hotel is right on the waterfront overlooking the bay where boats anchor and water taxi boats move about throughout the day. In fact you need to take a water taxi (US$1) to get to the hotel. We stayed in a basic room and had a balcony with a partial ocean/bay view that was great.
Hot water worked well and WiFi worked decently well (but not like in the US or mainland Ecuador) and was many times better than our hotel on Isabella Island though we were told if the hotel is full with many users it can be very slow. We did find our US carriers’ daily international travel plans (Verizon and AT&T) provided local 3G data service to get work emails as as backup if needed.
Food at the hotel restaurant, including the breakfast, was delicious and the menu has a variety of options.
All staff at reception and the restaurant were super friendly and wonderful and most spoke enough English to easily communicate if you don’t speak Spanish. Phillipe was super helpful in answering our questions about the island and nearby beach (one is a 5 minute walk away). The staff were also extremely helpful in receiving and working with our mainland Ecuador travel agency to return to me some items I accidentally left on Isabella Island that could not get to me before we departed the Galapagos.
We’d definitely recommend this hotel if staying in Puerto Arroyo and hope to be back some day.

After spending a week on a boat, my partner and I were thrilled to walk into our spotless, spacious and comfortable room at the Angermeyer.
The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly, and helpful. We took advantage of the laundry service and were very happy
Breakfast was fantastic, great fuel for several day trips.
The staff will take good care of you and the time are clean and lovely. The water taxis from the Angermeyer's private duck to the main pier (Mueller) are frequent (if one doesn't pull up immediately, just wait a couple of minutes- on either side), fast, and inexpensive $1 each person each way.

This is a fantastic hotel in a stunning location. It’s away from Puerto Ayora by 3 minute water taxi and you feel you are miles away from anything. The breeze of the ocean comes right into the rooms, which are stunning and very well maintained. Hotel service is superb. The restaurant is great as well. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Also, at night, we saw white tip sharks swimming just next to where we were eating.

Unless you want to spend a day or 2 in Quito I suggest flying directly to Guayaquil. All flights to the Galápagos Islands go through Guayaquil. The biggest airport is on Baltra Island, a very short bus and ferry ride to Santa Cruz Island, where most people stay.
There are more places to choose from in the Puerto Ayora area.
