Visited hotel as a group of 10. The staff, service, food, etc all were world class. The views are incredible. The hotel manager (Norman) and his entire staff couldn’t do enough to make our stay perfect. I have traveled all over the world and the lodge is in the top 5%. Best place in the Galápagos Islands!
The Galapagos Islands were on my husband's bucket list. I went with few expectations. From the moment we arrived, the entire staff was extremely warm and helpful. Norman, the manager, couldn't do enough. The Lodge is small - only 14 rooms- and, during our stay, there were never more than 12 additional guests. We did a six night 5 day plan and were on the water four days - seeing various islands, snorkeling, kiyaking, visiting with iquanas, sea lions and several unusual species of birds. We spent one day visiting the giant tortoises - having a truly epic vacation! Ask for Xavier as your guide. He was so enthusiastic and made every day special. I would go back in a minute!
We stayed at the lodge for four nights in April and it was knockout. The team were professional, friendly and couldn't have been more accommodating or welcoming. Hugely impressed and grateful for their consideration and support when I left behind a teddy bear belonging to my youngest child at the hotel (they dropped it off the next morning to where we were staying). They made us feel so welcome and the whole lodge experience with the various day trips was second to none. Highly recommend.
We just returned from a 6-day stay, celebrating our 40th anniversary with our two sons and their partners. We could not be happier with all aspects of the lodge and the experience. Because the staff knew it was our anniversary, they had a bottle of champagne waiting for us in our room. ALL the food is amazing, but for our anniversary dinner chef Christian outdid himself with one delectable course after another. Our dietary restrictions (of which our group had many) were meticulously observed, even to the extent of bringing almond milk to the room nightly so it would be fresh each morning with the amazing coffee provided in the room. Every staff person is friendly, attentive and solicitous. Special shout-outs to manager Norman for being so warm and welcoming and for our dining room attendant Kathy who took such good care of us. Every single staff person made us feel special. The rooms are incredibly clean and comfortable, and the amenities spot-on. And the views from everywhere on the property are beyond gorgeous and relaxing. We enjoyed the infinity pool and the jacuzzi with the panoramic views. The nature guides are knowledgeable and also really attentive. We spent time with Soto, Luis and Xavier - all fantastic. The excursions exceeded our expectations because the guides found the hard-to-spot animals and the best places for snorkeling and animal-spotting and wanted to make sure each one of us had an optimal experience. And what is better than coming back after a long day of nature viewing to find everyone waiting for us to welcome us back with refreshing washcloths and delicious drinks. All in all, it was a perfect and unforgettable experience.…
Beautiful grounds and rooms, fabulous food and service. And Robert the naturalist was extraordinary. Highest recommendation. Order a particular juice and express appreciation and it will be offered each time you arrive from an activity—made just for you. Lovely chocolates in the room. And the tortoises!!! Just go there—you’ll be so glad you did
We spent a week during New Year's. The property is located on at the top of the mountain on a tortoise reserve. The rooms are spacious and modern in design. The food was unbelievable, and the chef was beyond accommodating to the dietary needs of everyone in my family. He even gave out his cazuela recipe to my wife which we were addicted to the entire week. We loved that we had the option of an Ecuadorian dish at every meal, and we tried all sorts of new things. We had Heidy as our server for most of the week, and she was always so cheerful, attentive, and over all so sweet. All the staff that work in the dining area had all the above qualities. The front staff people were equally as attentive and kind, especially Christopher. The yacht crew was also the same- doing whatever was needed to make you comfortable. The excursions on the yacht were phenomenal, and we loved the snorkeling and the topography that changed daily. The only down side is that there is a lot of transit time-- 40 minutes each way to the canal, taking the zodiac to the yacht, then sailing to the destination. My only issue with our entire week is that we went scuba diving one day, and the resort stated they would take care of it. The online price from the diving shop was half of what I was charged so I was upset about that after spending so much to stay there. They did give me some of the money back (not all) so I did appreciate that, just didn't seem right. We have told everyone about our amazing experience and showed tons of pictures. It is a bucket list type of place.…
This is a delayed review we were there summer 2021. the property was exquisite, service top notch, food was to die for, chef Christian interacted with us when we wanted to know more about the dishes, Michelle at the dining room always greeted us with such effusive warmth that we felt revived even at the end of a long tiring day. Norman, Christopher were also very friendly. A huge shout out to Marcella (front desk night shift) who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, I was asking about Naranjilla and lo and behold she brought one for me to same from her town the next day. there is a resident night owl near the pool and since she knew we were interested -she called us in our room when she saw it. She was very sweet informative and helpful. Luis our guide was very informative. this place is a dream come true and would highly recommend staying here.-thanks for a memorable vacation-suba and prabhakar…
We stayed at Pikaia Lodge for a full seven days and had a great experience. The property is well-maintained, the food delicious, the staff attentive, and everything overall just excellent. Would definitely recommend!
My wife and I spent four nights at this amazing lodge and two days on their private yacht during our four weeks in Ecuador and following our week on the flawless ship the Celebrity Flora touring the Galapagos. I strongly recommend adding to any cruise with at least a few nights at the Pikaia. We have stayed at some of the finest lodges in over fifty countries, and few can rival this amazing facility or the incredible kitchen. The highlight of our stay were the two days on board the lodge‘s private yacht, and this was mainly because of the incredible guide we had, Xavier Suarez, who is one of the very best guides we have had anywhere.
To say the best, is not enough. The area was great, to relax to get some adventure by bicycle or just to walk around The food was so delicious, every single bite The personal was so helpful, so nice, friendly…. Every single moment there was worth The best experience of my live!!!
