The hotel picked me up from the Itabaca Canal when I arrived at the airport for a price of $25. That is the same price if you find a taxi when you arrive. It is approximately a 35 minute drive in the taxi. Well situated in the town of Puerto Ayora, 5 minutes to the pier and loads of places to eat and book tours on the doorstep. The staff were very friendly and helpful but only Spanish was spoken which is the norm on the Islands. The room was kept clean and very spacious (I booked a twin room). However the bathroom was very small. There is a free water dispenser on all floors of the hotel. This is a budget hotel so if you are happy with that then I would recommend it.

If you need a big screen TV, fancy soaps in the bathroom and thick fluffy towels, look elsewhere. But if you want an atmospheric little place frequented by Ecuadorians and don’t mind a little language struggle then book a room on the first floor with a balcony for an absurdly low 29 bucks a night. I stayed here a week. Sure I hit my head a few times in the cramped bathroom and waited 5 minutes for the hot water but you can’t beat the value for the money. The AC worked great, clean sheets every two days and the location was fabulous to access Las Ninfas and Tortuga Beach. A small bakery is steps away with fresh hot morning rolls and decent real coffee. One block away is the Kiosks with a dozen eateries including breakfast for 7 bucks. I do wish the drinking water dispenser had been better attended to but there was a shop right down the block selling litre bottles for $1.50

This is a really lovely, spacious, and comfortable place to stay. The bed was firm and comfy, and the internet was some of the fastest I experienced on all the inhabited islands in the Galapagos. The staff are super kind and sweet, and there are water stations readily available all over the hotel common spaces. The staff at Hotel Crossman saved me from a really bad lodging situation very late at night. In the other place, I had seen a lot of creatures and growths you didn't want to see in a place you're sleeping. I left around 10:30 PM and couldn't find a place to stay. Someone from another hostel walked me around looking for acocmmodations, and we eventually found someone with Mayra's phone number. She came over super late and let me into a vacant room. The next day, they let me store my luggage there before I took the 3:00 PM ferry to Isabela. If I could give them more than five stars, I would. I would have had a great stay there no matter what, but they really took care of me. I can't believe I've waited this long to write a review, and honestly if I could do my Santa Cruz stay again I would stay with them over and over again.

The location is great, close to everything in Puerto Ayora. You can fill in your water bottle as they have free water, wifi is good in the common area, not so much in the rooms. little kitchen with essencials, hot running water, clean and quite place. The staff is super friendly and always ready to help with tips or recomendations. A low budget place that has all a traveler needs.

Only some rooms had hot water, mine did not and my friend only had lukewarm shower with no pressure. One of the three of us had hit shower. Toilet seats either old and filthy or too small for the toilet. Location was close to the action and the noise. Luckily the air conditioner was loud enough to drown out the street noise and slamming doors. Linens clean and bed comfortable. Did not get value for the price paid

The place was ok for the price but then when the air conditioning broke at night, I called the front desk, one person came, I explain the problem, he said he was going to get help but never came back. I rang the bell of the front desk 40 minutes later, several times, nobody showed up. I had to sleep without AC. I did not mind the basics of the place because it was cheap but the fact that there is nobody to help with an emergency is not acceptable!!

This place is not a hotel and cannot be qualified as a hostal either, no atmosphere whatsoever. Very unfriendly receptionist. This must be the worse place I have stayed while backpacking. I stayed in room 6 which is in the first floor. There is a light on outside the window which is on all night, cannot be switched off. As the curtains are the cheapest type there is no darkening at all. The bathroom is really disgusting... smell of urine and with the hot weather it just stinks the room too. No chair, no hairdryer, no tv or music, no control for the AC which makes engine noises. I should have paid an extra dollar or two for a better surrounding. Each day I felt elated by the island beauty, the feeling was spoiled as soon as I went back there. I do not recommend this place.

No English speaker not even close. No hot water, no breakfast, beer only out of a bottle, no tv, SLOW internet. Location is good and close to the street restaurants and four blocks from the bay and a mile from the Darwin Research center. They also turn off the room refrigeration when you leave. You come back to a hot room. Pay a little more and go a little more up scale.

Stayed here three nights and liked the place. This is a comfortable little hotel well located in Puerto Ayora. Very good price, balcony outside the room, hot water and shelves to put you clothes and stuff. Downstairs had good kitchen you can use and fridge for your beer water ect. Only complaint I have is noise from air conditioner. At $35 it’s good budget option. Good location.

Our room was comfortable with a large bed and a single bed but these left little room for anything else and you could barely open the door to get out. The bathroom was very smelly as it had no natural ventilation. Shower was just okay. The communal areas are very tired and in need of re-decoration. Central location.
