We had an awesome time at Casa de Luis! The hostel is located just 2 minutes from the pier and has some restaurants and tour agencies close by! The rooms were nice, clean, had hot water and everything you need. Breakfast with eggs, toast/pancakes, fruit, coffee and juice is included - tasted very nice! Last but not least, Fernando, the owner, is a really nice and funny guy. Speaks perfect English and is very helpful with planning trips and giving recommendations. Really recommend staying here!
We highly enjoyed our stay at La Casa de Luis. The room and bathroom were both very clean. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet at night even though it’s very close to the center area and pier. in addition we cooked most of our meals and the kitchen was also clean and well organized. The owners are very pleasant and offered helped locating grocery stores and ferry ticket shops. We highly recommend this hostel if you are staying on San Cristobal Island.
Cheap rooms that are clean and have aircon in a central location. Great budget place to stay with a small kitchen that has all you need and also has free tea and coffee. The family who run it are real friendly too.
This place is a good choice in the totally overpriced Galápagos Islands. It has air-cond, free water, coffee, small kitchen and a really nice owner. The rooms are not the cleanest or most modern, but it's ok for the money
This place is great if you are on a budget and want to stay somewhere central for a good price. We asked around at a number of hostels on the island and the place is the cheapest by far and in a good location. Our room had aircon and a private bathroom plus air conditioning . The lady who runs the place is friendly as well. He father owns a farm so she often brought in fruit for the hostel to have for free. We were able to negotiate a cheaper price on our room as we stayed for 6 days. The kitchen is basic but usable. I would def stay again
I walked from the airport to the hostel after I arrived around 10:35am. I came without booking and found that there were actually many rooms available. I stayed for 3 nights ($45 in total) and the owner offered me a two beds room with air condition and only me staying. They have free wifi, free water refill and the owner is not pushy offering tour. (He just said he got boat tickets, that all) The hostel is in center location to everything. On the ground floor is a restaurant with separate owner offering one of the cheapest lunch in town ($4), and after the corner is another cheap restaurant. There's also a convenient store and pharmacy open till late and it's just two shops away. The post office is only one block away. You can get your passport stamped with the Galapagos special stamp. There are many shops selling souvenirs once you're on the street facing the sea. Not far away you will a lot sea lions sunbathing at the shore. If really to be picky, I just don't understand why at this hot weather in Galapagos they still offer hot water which is centralized and you can't turn it off. Other than that it's just nice.…
