I did not book in advance just come across this hostel while roaming around after arrival. The rrom for good price including continental or American breakfast, coffee/tea and filtrated water available in the restaurant/reception area. The room clean and with bathroom and AC. Staff spoke very good English, helping me with my travel arrangements and travel tips. The hostel focus on surfers. WIFI worked badly, maybe because many people hooked on WIFI to try to change flights due to the flight ban. The hostel is great meting point to see a nd speak with other fellow solo travelers. The hostal is in the centre of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, about 500 m from the pier and walking distance to everything. Just next the door you can get cheap but still tasty meal at Lucky.
Stayed 6 nights, clean room, AC, warm water, comfy beds, good breakfast. In the middle of down town, close to everything you need and especially all the sea lions. The hostal offers services you might need on the island and if they don't they'll help you to the people you need. I'd stay there again 😊
The breakfast is delicious, Nico and Jonathan are friendly and take good care of you during your stay! The rooms have a private bathroom and comfortable beds. Well located hostel. The volunteers at the hostal while we were there were super helpful and always cleaned our rooms so nicely!
A great value hostel 100m from the beach and main streets in town. Nico and Tatiana were lovely hosts and very accommodating. I stayed in the 4 bed dorm which included breakfast, rooms were cleaned daily and there was hot water. The breakfast was really good and coffee and tea was complimentary all day long. The cafe/common area was a good place to meet other travellers.
The hostal is ran by Nicolas and his amazing staff in the centre of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno and walking distance to everything. We had a double room with en-suite with a powerful shower, it was a good size and included a tv and fridge. We were lucky to have a room at the front with a window although I don’t think they all have windows so better to ask for one. The room rate included an American breakfast of eggs (fried, scrambled or boiled), bread, fruit and juice. The hostal also has unlimited coffee and water all day. The staff are super friendly and helpful and gave us great information on things to see and do as well as having surfboard and snorkel/mask hire. The hostal is especially great for surfers as Nico and a lot of the staff surf so can give great advise on surf spots and boards as well as the rental. A lot of non-surfers stay too and Nico also helped us with land based tours and activities. Nico is a local but also speaks amazing English so is really helpful if you need any help with translations.…
We stayed here for 2 nights and found the location close to town and at a reasonable price. However we were extremely disappointed with Nicholas (seems to be in charge of most things) in regards to breakfast on the second day. We agreed to pay $2.50 extra each for a different breakfast as only the Americano is included for the complimentary breakfast, which we were more than happy to do. However we did not know that the juice we ordered was not the juice of the day (apparently the only one included with breakfast, even though this was not written anywhere or communicated clearly to us). Nicholas became very rude and angry, saying we already knew this, when clearly something was lost in translation, he insisted we must pay extra for this. The manner in which he spoke was very intimidating and it appears he is only interested in money and not helping to accommodate guests. The issue wasn’t that we had to pay more, rather the manner in which the situation was dealt with. All the other staff were very friendly and helpful.…
I stayed here for 4 nights in August and everything was super. It seems that the new administration really know what they are doing and provide everything at a very high standard. They provided great advice for what to do around San Cristobal Island from surfing and walking to diving and snorkelling. The rooms were comfy and clean. They also had hot water 24/7 which was refreshing. The breakfast by Nico was outstanding - extremely tasty. It is also a great hostal to relax at with free coffee, tea and water. Fantastic stay and couldn't recommend enough!
The new administration that’s taken over here is doing an amazing job. Very clean and well put together rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. The location is great. And if you’re a surfer this is the place to stay for sure. The staff is knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Would highly recommend staying here!!!!
I have stayed for multiple times in his place and they are always whiling to help. Since the first of June we’ll take full control of the place and we are making a coffee shop downstairs and we are improving things for you to have a better experience.
The good things about this place are the hot water and the fact it's pretty clean. BUT I had a horrible experience in this hostal. At night there were strong mechanic noises coming up from the roof, and it was heard loud and clear in the rooms. In addition, the A/C was turning on and off by itself every few minutes, and beeping very loud as well. The whole night there was an orchestra of many machines and there was absolutely no one to turn to (it all started around 9.30 PM, and I think that's a reasonable hour to has a staff member in the hostal, but no one was there). So the whole night was a nightmare. In addition, in the morning I was asked to leave my room before the check out time (I was told several times that I can check out until 11AM) since the room has been reserved (???). To sum up, the staff is very un-synchronzed, un-orginized, and there are critical problems here that can ruin your stay easily. So if you like sleeping on your vacation, or at least having the option to turn to someone for help - I wouldn't recommand you to stay here. Enjoy Galapagos! …
