This place is amazing! The rooms are great and the staff went over and above for us. I was there with a school group and they took such great care of us. Cindy and her team helped us on so many occasions. I would definitely stay here again!
The hotel is within walking distance from the pier and restaurants and shops. It‘s an older building. People help you with carrying the suitcase upstairs and you get a bottle of water when you check in. Breakfast has also been great and is being made freshly. The people helped me a lot because my operator for my Española tour didn’t show up and they helped me to find my boat. The rooms have air conditioner and you get a good night sleep. Muchas gracias otra vez!
When you want to stay in Galapagos, you will find out pretty soon that everything is very expensive. Actually in Gran Hotel Paraiso you can get a double room for only 30 dollar per night. The room is big, clean and the shower provides warm water. You can fill you water bottle in the lobby for free and get a cup off tea. The hotel is only a few blocks away from the malecon (max 5 minutes), so the location is in our opinion great. We would recomment this hotel if you want to sleep in a quite area for a very good price.
This hotel offers great value, it is clean and tidy with great staff and lovely food. The rooms on the top floor offer brilliant views of the sea front and harbour. This hotel offers extra towels for use if you are snorkelling or swimming.
Rooms are great and clean, kitchen can be used and is well equipped, and staff is really really nice and helpful. It's great value for money and cheap compared to other option in San Cristobal and in the Galapagos. Wouldn't think of a single reason not to stay there.
I enjoyed my stay here a few blocks back from the main street but well priced as a result got a twin for 35 with air con,fan aswell as a fridge and a tv bed was very comfortable shower also good staff were friendly and helpful and had a refillable water station in the lobby which saved constantly buying water would recommend much nicer thn t budget options on the main street.
I stayed 6 nights at this hotel (for 15 dollars a night) following a recommendation from fellow travellers. Only prices are backpackers', the standard is very good with spacious rooms, hot water, aircon and a fan, soft towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner... Well equipped kitchen at your disposal, free tea and coffee. A short walk from the main pier (10 mins). Quiet and comfortable. Very friendly staff.
I enjoyed my weekend stay. Room was clean and comfortable with an ocean view. Bathroom was huge with hot water and staff was very friendly. Location was great, only about a minute trek to the boardwalk and food. Only downside was being on the main street. Lots of car traffic noise.
This hotel was booked for us on a very expensive tour we were on.We were told it was a three star hotel. What a joke. One of the worst hotels we've ever stayed in. Shower was leaking when we first arrived , they fixed it but the cover for the shower head was just resting on the top and there were wires as the water was heated through the shower head. There were cobwebs on the walls, the shower area was full of mould as was the shower curtain and it was generally grotty and dirty. There was a pile of dirt/dust under one of the beds and the floor was sticky. Furniture was very dated. Bed coverings were old fashioned. Nothing nice about the room or the hotel. Breakfast was average.
Wandered to find a place with a Chilean couple we were with. Found here and at $30 a room we took it. It was fine though didn't have windows to outside. I got partially electrocuted by the electric showers that seem to plague South America and and reception was closed when we came back in time to pick up our backpacks for the 3pm ferry back to Santa Cruz (go to Villa Del Mar across the road if this happens and they'll call them to get them back for you..) But this is island time stuff. For the most part it's typical and average. Likely though you could do better if you searched around like we didn't.
