Undoubtedly one of the best hotels, even though the internet is not the best it can go unnoticed, thanks to Erika at our entrance for all her help and information provided, they could only improve that all the staff meet the same quality standard and Attention, Cecilia, thank you very much for all your recommendations, the cocktails and exceptional bar food, I hope to see you soon

Hotel's Favourite
The Hotel Indigo was a great, comfortable place to stay. The staff was very accommodating and the room was nice. We were on the 3rd floor (303) and had a nice view of Playa de Oro and the sea lions. We were fishing with Ecuador Fly Fishing Tours (A+!) and had early morning starts. The kitchen made us fried egg sandwiches to go with a side fruit bowl. After fishing all day, the pool and bar staff were wonderful! And I cannot say enough about Stephanie and Maria, our massage therapists! Book 90 minutes because 60 minutes is not enough time for them to work their magic. The only negative is the bar uses plastic swivel sticks in drinks. For a place that is very ecologically forward, the plastic drink swivel sticks were not needed. Also, my husband left his wedding ring somewhere in the room and it hasn't been found yet but it hasn't even been 12 hrs since we checked out. I'm still hopeful they'll find the ring!

Woeful. Weak, unstable wifi - which was acknowledged as a known issue with no apparent remedy. Hostile Front of House Manager. Meagre, disappointing breakfast. Litany of additional service related issues. Inexcusable at this price point. Avoid.

After having a difficult time with a neighboring hotel, our travel agent was able to secure us a beautiful room at this hotel. The staff was charming and spoke good English. They booked us straight away into a top floor suite with a beautiful view of the harbor. They were super kind and seemed to know the neighboring hotel manager was not good. The suite was comfortable and spacious. We even got an excellent restaurant recommendation.

I really wanted to love this place. Don’t get me wrong, it’s beautiful. And the staff is beyond friendly In fact, my husband and I booked our trip to theGalapagos based solely on this hotel. It’s nice, but definitely NOT worth the $600-$800 a night they are charging. That’s laughable now that we’ve stayed there. We stayed 4 nights and were expecting concierge service. For that amount of money they should have the means to help guests book excursions. Possibly have some snorkeling gear on hand. Even though the staff was lovely, they were no help. We ended up having to walk around or look online and book things ourself. If we had known they couldn’t help, we would have researched and booked before we left. The breakfast was good, but food by the pool was mediocre at best. Bartenders were all over the place. Sometimes our margaritas had one shot (normal) but one time my husband ordered 2 at once and she just used one shot between the 2 of them and added extra mixer. Sometimes our wine was 3 oz. Sometimes 5-6 oz. Pina colada’s? Sometimes in a wine glass. Sometimes a partially filled champagne flute. No consistency at all and the most expensive drinks we had on the island. Rooms are new and clean but nothing special. Again, lovely hotel but I’d say only worth about $300 a night. We met a couple at a restaurant near who stayed near our hotel, with same cove view for $100 a night and said it was lovely and their host was able to book things for them. They also said that they heard that Hotel Indigo just had their third “grand opening”!! What?? The staff told us they had their grand opening the night before we got there. A third “grand opening” isn’t a great sign. My husband and I travel all over the world so I really wanted to be nice, but I’m so upset as an IHG Diamond Elite member that I couldn’t get a response after emailing them and wasting 400,000 points on this hotel. Until they offer services more in line with a hotel that charges $700 a night, stay somewhere else. The value is 100% not there!!! We regret our stay immensely.
