First hotel we stayed at during our 10 day Galapagos adventure, and this hotel was great. Excellent location, wonderful breakfast and unbeatable view of the harbor and the wildlife. Just relax and enjoy being in paradise.
This is a no frills hotel with a nice pool that is in a good location and is clean and practical. Breakfast was enjoyable and individually prepared wirh fresh ingredients. There is a fridge in the communal area as well as tea/coffee making facilitirs and water dispenser (hot and cold) for refilling bottles. The rooms are a good size and have air conditioning but for us our visit was enhanced by the service all the staff provide, nothing is too much trouble and it was appreciated.
Found this hotel delightful, lovely views over the bay, friendly and very helpful staff. Rooms were clean and spacious with good facilities including air conditioning.. Does breakfast only which was very niece and suited us perfectly. Special thanks to Tatianj and Juan Carlos for their help especially when my wife left her phone on the bus, After retrieving it Juan took time to find us in a restaurant that evening to return it to her immediately.
I had a wonderful 8 night stay at Opuntia. The rooms were spacious and in a great location. The staff, especially Juan Carlos, went above and beyond to ensure I felt welcome and to make my stay extra special like Pacari chocolate for my birthday and even checking in on me when I fell sick! The hospitality of Casa Opuntia is what made it a great place to stay. Thank you Juan Carlos for ensuring that even when there was a minor hiccup with my reservation we resolved it quickly and my stay was seamless!
From the very first moment, we were very well taken care of. From the office, they looked for the room that better suited us. We enjoy our four days in San Cristóbal with great breakfast every morning and very good location. The only shame is the big construction that was taken place next door... which is, of course, not Opuntia's fault.
Booked 2 rooms for 2 couples, 4 nights each. Very helpful staff at check in and throughout the stay. 2 pools and great outdoor seating area including excellent breakfast. Loved hearing the sea lions from our room. Very convenient location to catch the ferry or any day tour. Galapagos felt very safe and the locals are wearing their masks, providing hand sanitizer, fully vaccinated and waiting for tourists to return.
The hotel is in a good location but they seem to be building a new hotel next door and they start work at 7am and are still going at 6pm. The staff at the hotel are very accommodating and helpful. Our room was on the top floor, big room with double bed and a single bed too. The room was clean but a little dated. If you want a perfect room with mod cons then this is not for you but if you want a homely feel, great views and a relaxed atmosphere then this is for you. Breakfast was fruit, coffee/tea and omelette/scrambled eggs.
The staff and location make this the ideal place to stay. The accommodations are modest but very clean and most adequate. The beds and linens were great. Wonderful breakfast in the morning with a tranquil view of the bay. Reception goes out of their way to accommodate every possible need - from drivers to restaurants and suggestions for activities.
The hotel is located right on the main promenade. It is an older hotel with both old and new rooms. The newer rooms were more comfortable but lacked the view. Our room was large but looked its age. Bathroom was a disaster. We had a balcony with the most amazing view of the water, boats, harbor, and sea loins. All we had to to was walk down some stairs and we were on the main promenade where you can find restaurants and shops. There is sea lions all over the place which is really nice. We had some amazing dinners and lunch there.
It is a good hotel with very friendly staff and a good breakfast. It was fairly comfortable and the wifi was good for the island. The beds were a bit hard and so were the pillows. The location is very good right on the waterfront.
