Very nice hostal, modern, very clean, very confortable room with all you need. 5 minutes walking from the center. Let's go to the negative point. The director Philip, was not really a nice person, not at all available for the needs of the guests. The first night I realized that the light of my room was not warking. I text Philip to repair it. He came 1h after and told me it was late, that he will have done it the day after. The day after nothing was done, I text him again and he proposed me to change the room. I told him that, as it was evening, I could keep the same room, but I asked him to repare it the day after. The day after again nothing was made......3 days to repare it, nothing was done. Finally I asked to leave the room just 1h later, a courtesy in exchange of the technical problem.....and the answer was NO. But I have to say that his mom was very nice with me (but not with the very kind housekeeping), the let me use the kitchen to cut some fruits and she offered me some delicious fruits of its Finca.…

But our room was avarage and dark. Nice rooftop terrace with a vew but when we were here it empty maybe one or two Hammock and chairs. It was clean, the wifi was ok and breakfast was good. The location is ok - not that far to the beach and citi center.

The entire place was very clean, we had a kitchen in our room with all essentials for cooking. A fresh breakfast was served daily. The Fresh squeezed juice was incredible. The location is great and within walking distance of downtown. A short 15 minute walk from the beach. The Owners, the family are so nice and helpful. A great stay with a lovely family!

Great location and rooms had all basic commodities - washrooms and towels and turn down service and nice balcony with view of the water Special thanks to Anita who is a sweetheart and was so helpful to me and my fiancée- she has the warmest heart and served us amazing breakfast each morning

We were a group of 12 for breakfast over 2 days. They served up breakfast family style both days. Fresh fruit, granola and yogurt or milk, platters of scrambled and fried eggs, toast with marmalade or butter, fresh fruit juices and very good coffee. Staff was wonderful. Everyone in our group was very complimentary.

80 USD/night for a double beds room. The room is clean but consider the price.... I understood the price went higher during Christmas, but still somewhat expensive. It was noisy outside when I stayed 12/29 & 12/30 at night, which seems like a party nearby.

From the beginning we had a warm welkom. We had a good English conversation about the island and the hotel. Good sleeping accomodations with a large bed and rain shower. Every day fresh blankets and towels. The breakfast that we had was every day different and they ask if you're veggieterian. To the Darwin Aveneu is like 5min walking! We had some problems with our flight and they helped us alot. Thanks again for the support and service. Happy sleeping, Arno

The hotel is basic with everything you need -- a/c, good shower, comfy bed and a free breakfast! Only drawback if you want to call it that - is that you have to walk up flights of stairs to get to you room so if you have a lot of luggage you may struggle a bit. Other than that it was a great stay with hospitable hosts!

If you can’t afford to stay right on the water but still want ocean views and a quick walk to the shore then this place is for you! We were recommended this hostal (feels more like a hotel) by a local and we couldn’t be more pleased. With daily cleaning and breakfast included (fruits, eggs, bread, coffee, juice, jam/butter) how can you go wrong? We also had a mini fridge in our room so we also saved money on beers! The rooftop is a perfect place for sundowners! Joseph was incredibly helpful with all questions we had and assisting us with wifi! We will be recommending this place to everyone we meet on our travels!

We first got to another hostel and we only lasted one night because it was a horrible, by luck we found Tongo Reef. Diego, the owner, made an effort to give us a room because that day he had no vacancy. But he finally found one amazing room for us. Rooms are really big and super comfortable. Always the place is clean, and every two days we had our room cleaned and some times every day cleaning. The rooms have TV, AC and a mini fridge. The price includes an amazing breakfast!!! Won’t doubt recommending it to all of my friends and will be here again soon!! Thanks for making our time at San Cristóbal way better!!!
