booked 1 night through Booking.com for a private double with ensuite and AC and it cost US$45. When i went to extend our stay for 2 more nights however, it was only US$30/night! (A pretty serious commission from Booking!) Our room was very basic, but served our need, and we had access to a big kitchen. It’s a few blocks out from town, but located close to some very cheap local restaurants (eg doing lunch of soup, main, drink for US$4) and also near quite a few little mini markets. It’s housed above a local’s residence, and she speaks no English, though seemed to have some daughters around who did. For somewhere relatively cheap, it’s got the services you’d need. Main negative was that bathroom was not tidied each day (ie toilet bin replaced) at all during our 3 day stay.
This place is very clean and tidy. Room 1 is a nice size with a private bathroom. The shower has hot and cold water. There is also a fan. The kitchen has all the utensils and crockery you need, a massive american fridge and an electirc oven with gas hob. The living area is basic but comfortable and nicely decorated with some local infomation and maps to help visitors plan their time here. From the balcony you can see the sea. Lewis is very helpful and approachable, he runs a nice hostel that is located about a 5 min walk from the sea front. I would definately stay here again.
