This hotel is located just a short distance from the main town area. My room was huge with a beautiful view. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast is a fixed meal every morning. Water cooler in the reception. No meals served at lunch or dinner.

This place is OK. It is close to town and some beaches so that is nice. I thought the breakfast was good. The rooms were very large, but unattractive. If they got a good decorator it could be very nice. A lot of creepy crawlies in the rooms. Did not bother me because nothing was biting me. But this was alarming to the other ladies in our group. The pool area was beautiful but would benefit from bar service. The owner came out personally to serve us breakfast and she drove some of our members that were out late at night, which I thought was very thoughtful. The place does not look like the photos.

Sea side hotel was a fantastic place to stay. We had one of our group was in a wheelchair. The pool was not accessible to wheelchair which was not a problem because she was not interested in the pool. I am quite confident that had she wanted to go in the pool, they would have come up with a way to get her there. The staff was extremely attentive to our needs. They offered ideas on what to do to make sure we saw as much as we could. The breakfasts were amazing and had good variety. One of our group was gluten free. They made special offerings including gluten free bread to accommodate her needs. We loved it there and would definitely stay there again. Kathy is the best!

We ( part of a small group) had our hotel changed from our original booking to this one ( by our tour company) Very nice rooms - clean, airy and spacious ,with a balcony with great views over the harbour and sea. It’s location is great as it’s only a 5 minute walk from the town via a boardwalk , and a 19 minute walk to beach other way .comfy bed and room had a/c and safe . Lovely turtle shaped pool Breakfast is not a buffet , it is served to you . Despite having pre ordered breakfast for the next day on our arrival ( fruit yogurt and granola and a cheese and onion omelette) I was just served fruit and scrambled egg! I asked for granola and yogurt and she said they had none . After I’d left the dining area a buffet was served for another group staying there and guess what ? .... granola and yogurt on the table. This annoyed me so I spoke to my guide and this was sorted for the next morning . Pleasant staff but rather difficult to find as place deserted during the day after breakfast.

Modern looking rooms. Good views. Close to beach. Moderately helpful managers/owners. Beds OK. But......Truly awful breakfasts. Sewerage smell evident in some rooms. Unreliable plumbing - the water runs our mid-shower. Poorly maintained. Avoid this place if you can as costs a lot money.

First, it's in a great location. Just a 5 minute walk to "downtown" and a 5 minute walk to the beach. The Interpretation Center is only about 10 minutes away and promises a good hike along with an area to go snorkeling. It also has great views. The hotel itself is clean and most of the rooms have a great view of the water from their balconies. Our room was huge and had 2 queen beds in it. The bathroom was also huge. Breakfast was delicious and they were flexible with when they served it. There is a cute, turtle-shaped pool. The hot tub, however, was not hot. The only reason I gave it a rating of 4 instead of 5 is because staff is so hard to find. However, they are very nice and were great about arranging transportation for us to the airport. Overall, a great place to stay.

We spent 3 nights at the Sea Side Hotel. The owner/manager Suzanna welcomed us on our arrival. The room was huge there would be three people staying in one room, but it was so large and L shaped it was like having two separate rooms. Our Balcony looked over the pool and the Harbor of San Cristóbal. Breakfast each morning was great, they prepared for you want you wanted, not a buffet breakfast. We asked about getting laundry done in town and Suzanna offered to do our laundry each day at a very reasonable price. The location is 5 minute walk to the harbor and restaurants, and 5 minute walk to the beaches. The Sea Side Hotel had more of a personal feel of a bed and breakfast than a hotel.

This hotel is very modern. The rooms are unusually large (even too large). Bathrooms are modern and functional. The fanciful towel sculptures are a fun touch. There were, however, a few problems to be noted. Our room looked out over the town (the view was indifferent - the hotel is not actually on the water). Getting the windows to close all the way was a bit difficult. The air conditioning worked well (and we did need it at night), but I could not adjust the temperature; however, this was less of a problem than I thought it might be. The breakfast was adequate. There is a cute pool shaped like a turtle; I did not try it, but the kids in our party seemed to enjoy it. There is one main reason for my giving this only two stars. When we first got to the room, I was opened the cupboard containing the safe, and found two toxic and powerfully scented deodorizers. I immediately removed them and asked a hotel staffer to take them away, but in the process spilled some of the liquid that was in the deodorizer (they did come to mop this up). However, that cupboard continued to smell strongly of this deodorizer. I cannot think of a good reason why this would be viewed as necessary or desirable. I kept the cupboard closed for the rest of our stay and tried to leave the windows open during the day to air out the room. Admittedly, I did not contact the hotel in advance to ask that no scented products be used in our room (I sometimes do this as I'm somewhat sensitive to some things). But I have never found something as powerful as this in a hotel room. On the plus side, the shower worked very well. Although the aesthetics of the hotel are a little quirky, it does provide you with everything you need. You can walk to the center of town in 5 or 10 minutes and you can walk to a beach just down the street and to the Interpretation Center and its surrounding park. I cannot speak to value as we stayed there as part of a group travel experience and the cost was not broken out.

As the name indicates, this inn is near the ocean. The rooms were very lard and very clean. We ate breakfast there each day, but always had lunch and dinner elsewhere. The staff was very nice and helpful, but they didn't always seem to be around. We weren't there too much and didn't have any problems that required extra attention. I would stay again!
