We just returned from Ecuador...and found the hotel clean, pool nice, hot showers, but the best was the staff. The desk person is a very helpful young man from Cuba...I believe he has only been there a couple months. But he was incredible. My husband left his wallet in backseat of taxi...and was trying to catch the taxi...this young man ran after it too...for blocks. When they were unable to catch it...this nice man called the taxi dispatcher...we had the wallet and ALL our money, tour tickets back in l0minutes. He did this all on his own..we did not even think of it. Also...he woke us up and made sure we had nice breakfast an hour before the kitchen opened. He is really what would bring us back. No trouble at all for front desk to call taxi. ..they are there in minutes..and only $1...or you can just walk DOWN to waterfront...taxi back up. This man is truly special.

I stayed here while traveling with a school group. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the food was very good. The rooms were large and clean, with air-conditioning. Wifi was a bit spotty but we didn't really travel all the way to the Galapagos to update our Facebook status! The swimming pool was a nice addition and the dining room opens up to face the pool which was nice so we could relax over dinner while the student hung out at the pool. They also rent snorkel equipment which was a nice plus! There was also an open air game room on the third floor for us to use as a common area for games or socializing without disturbing other guests.

We stayed here only for one night. They have a swimmingpool which is also open for local people, so it was very busy but that didn't bothered us. The room was very nice and big. They have warm water in the shower. The WiFi didn't work at all, not in the room, not outside and not in the lobby. The breakfast was a little bit disappointing, because it was very simple and not a lot of choice, which I was expecting looking at the price what we payed for one night ($84).

I specially liked this hotel because it was far away from the noise of the pier. It's on the high part of the city, so if you intend to walk around, be prepared to exercise a lot. The rooms were very nice and wifi and cable TV were pretty decent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Since we used to leave very early in the morning, they always had our box lunches ready. The pool and jacuzzi were really nice as well. We really enjoyed our stay!

This hotel was included in our Galapagos package and was definitely a great choice. It was completed in 2011 so everything is pretty much brand new. We had a triple room and found that it was very spacious, clean, had AC, and a color TV. The staff was very friendly and always willing to help out. I don't recall many speaking english, but the few that did, knew enough to understand and communicate. The food was great and very filling!

There is a pool you can relax in that is cleaned on a daily basis. Above the restaurant is an open game room that overlooks the town and has a pool table, ping pong table, fussball, and seating area you can kick back in. The center of town is a few minutes away so you do not have to worry about any noise or disturbance.

As you can see from the number of reviews and the fact that it is fairly new, not many people know about this hotel. If you end up staying on San Cristobal Island I highly recommend staying here!

Something of a mixed bag. The hotel is reasonably new, and the rooms are rather large and kept clean. It's a good ways back from the harbor/center and uphill … not so bad in the mornings/evenings, pretty hot in middle of the day (and not a scenic walk). Young fellow who checked us in was friendly and gave some good advice about what to see/do; others we dealt with at hotel spoke only limited English. Internet was free, but VERY slow. Pool is kept clean, but lack of much shading around it made it unpleasant during hottest parts of the day. Hot water was intermittent. Breakfast is in hotel restaurant (where we never saw anyone except at breakfast) and is uninspiring … same every day, institutional food and service.

Stayed there while diving and fishing in September. It was a nice place with large rooms and comfortable beds. There was always plenty of hot water clean rooms. The breakfast was good and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The only negative was that it was a long walk to the waterfront or a taxi ride. I would stay there again.

My customers put me in the Arena Blanca, and I was very impressed by how nicely made everything is. It's an "eco hotel", so instead of water bottles you have a pitcher and glasses with drinking water.

It's difficult to give a rating, as this is the only hotel we have stayed at in the city so we have nothing to meaningfully compare to. First the good points. The room seemed clean and was adequate in size. The staff were extremely good- helpful at all times, going above what we expected of them. The pool was nice, a game room was available complete with ping pong table and the breakfast was good. On the negative side, there was a bad smell in room 2 that we could never quite get away from, the toilet did not work right and the WiFi was just awful. There was no iron or hair dryer in the room, although one was available from the front desk. The beds were not bad and the air conditioner was fine. It was reasonably quiet. Easy taxi access to town for two dollars, and the taxi always arrived momentarily after calling. It was about a ten minute walk to town.

We stayed here after we came back from a live a board. Somebody was waiting on the Dock with a sign with our names on it. The
Hotel has spacious rooms with nice big beds. However the WiFi is terrible, just like almost everywhere on the island. Their is a pool at the hotel but it is also in use by the locals, thats a disadvantage (very busy and noisy). The personel is friendly but could be more helpfull by for example carrying the Luggage and helping loading and unloading it in the taxi. Breakfast was also so very small and simple.

"Wi Fi is only available on the lobby area, so if you get a room near it you MIGHT get a fair signal from the room. However, it is not guaranteed. Also, be careful if you have mobility restrictions as some rooms are acccessible only by a flight of stairs."
