We stayed for three nights at the Arena Blanca Hotel on the Island of San Cristobal. The front desk staff were very helpful - they even went to the store and bought ice for us - and we had no trouble communicating in English. The kids in our group had lots of fun in the pool, which was also a good place for the adults to unwind after day trips across the island. Breakfasts were hearty, healthy, and delicious. Be sure to try the passionfruit juice! We felt safe, both in security and our health. A grocery store is only a couple blocks away. The pier is a few more blocks, but we liked the neighborhood setting and lovely landscaping where we could watch finches and warblers.

I specially liked this hotel because it was far away from the noise of the pier. It's on the high part of the city, so if you intend to walk around, be prepared to exercise a lot. The rooms were very nice and wifi and cable TV were pretty decent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Since we used to leave very early in the morning, they always had our box lunches ready. The pool and jacuzzi were really nice as well. We really enjoyed our stay!

My customers put me in the Arena Blanca, and I was very impressed by how nicely made everything is. It's an "eco hotel", so instead of water bottles you have a pitcher and glasses with drinking water.

It's difficult to give a rating, as this is the only hotel we have stayed at in the city so we have nothing to meaningfully compare to. First the good points. The room seemed clean and was adequate in size. The staff were extremely good- helpful at all times, going above what we expected of them. The pool was nice, a game room was available complete with ping pong table and the breakfast was good. On the negative side, there was a bad smell in room 2 that we could never quite get away from, the toilet did not work right and the WiFi was just awful. There was no iron or hair dryer in the room, although one was available from the front desk. The beds were not bad and the air conditioner was fine. It was reasonably quiet. Easy taxi access to town for two dollars, and the taxi always arrived momentarily after calling. It was about a ten minute walk to town.

We spend a couple of nights there with my family. Staff was friendly and breakfast was very good (fruits, scramble eggs, coffee, juice and bread). Wifi was good, rooms are clean and comfortable. It is a 10 min walk from the pier.

This hotel is located on the hillside of the town. It’s a 10-15 min walk from the pier but whit a taxi it’s a 2-5 min ride for 2$. The hotel has big rooms and a warm water shower. Clean rooms and good beds. We had a breakfast buffet inkl in the price. Fruits, scrambled eggs, bread and yogurt, fresh and good. There is a pool and some sun beds to borrow. Friendly staff!

Was meant to stay 6 nights, checked out after one. There must have been 100 children staying at hotel as part of a school trip. They were unsupervised and very noisy. Breakfast was awful and set up line a school dining hall. Pool area was run down and the hotel is a 15 minute walk to the pier. The bed was big as was the room. That was the only thing the hotel had going for itself. It looks like it's set up for school trips and is good for that, nothing more.

I stayed here while traveling with a school group. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the food was very good. The rooms were large and clean, with air-conditioning. Wifi was a bit spotty but we didn't really travel all the way to the Galapagos to update our Facebook status! The swimming pool was a nice addition and the dining room opens up to face the pool which was nice so we could relax over dinner while the student hung out at the pool. They also rent snorkel equipment which was a nice plus! There was also an open air game room on the third floor for us to use as a common area for games or socializing without disturbing other guests.

This is the first hotel that our Evolution class stayed at during this learning experience. It was very close to the ocean about 10-15 of walking to get back to the port in which you came in. The food there is excellent and the place is very well maintained. The wifi is a little slow, but when you are expecting nothing it's not that bad. The bathrooms are really nice and the beds are comfortable. There were no issues with bugs or anything of that nature. 10/10 would recommend.
